Company tends to take on more than they can chew. Multiple clients are onboarding but not enough staff to support them. This is an issue as cases tend to require a lot of research and time.

They also keep outsourcing hires outside the US who are not familiar with US banking regulations. Low level anxiety can be felt as historically the company lets go of people/teams, including high performers and people extremely tenured and knowledgeable about the product. A lot of tenured employees have left. Due to complexities of the product, training new hires can take months.

Apart from that, the culture is amazing. Your co-workers are helpful, no judgement, and professional. The company promotes a collaborative environment between all teams - remote and in-person.

If you prefer to be in the office, the office at LKM has a lot of accommodations from fancy coffee, snacks, relaxation rooms, clean bathrooms, a gym, and much more. May be less now due to COVID.

Company regularly takes action to address issues (i.e. security) and promotes an inclusive workplace.

Overall, if you get a good starting salary you will learn a lot and grow in this place.

Not a good place to work as can be seen by the short tenure of the personnel, especially sales staff.  Even strong top performing sales staff leave the company because they are tired of being constantly yelled at and belittled by tyrannical sales managers trying to boost sales of long obsolete products to a mature and overcrowded market.  The fact that the senior management does nothing to prevent the constant churn of their top sales talent leaving the company signifies that they care more about keeping their own jobs than the welfare of the front line sales and support staff.  The rate of turnover among senior management is also astonishingly high and provides a clear signal to applicants of what they are signing up for. With stronger management, it could be a great company. Human resources turns a blind eye to toxic staff and abusive management practices and always claims to be surprised when the behavior is reported by dozens of employees,  Caveat emptor!

The company culture is sink or swim. You must have the drive and motivation within yourself alone to make something of yourself, don't expect encouragement or development from your leaders. If you try to develop new ideas to create a sense of culture and purpose by teaching relationship, communication and leadership philosophies its not supported. Because it's not measurable it doesn't matter. It is unfortunately a company of employees instead of teammates. Much of the leadership has been there for many years and only manage change if forced by the executives. There is no development of the minds of the employees because there is no time. Resources have been stripped to the minimum to save money rather than building the current talent to expand our market share and make a meaningful impact to both clients and our individuals

The powers that be decided not continue promoting or selling the cloud solution I support. So my job will be ending around May of 2019. In the mean time they also decided keep supporting the product but will out source my position to another office overseas. 

Benefits are great. Insurance not real expensive. Has a decent 401k.

The people and team I work with is great. All willing to assist each other. 
We all have good relationships with our customers and their core product vendors. 

I have learned a lot about cloud technology and its support. Learned a lot about virtual ware solutions and multi-domain environment.

When D+H was purchased and Finastra was formed, they moved us from Irving to Plano. This increased my commute by about 15 min. one way.

The department I'm in consists of a death march project where the development team is constantly berated for their failures after being set to an impossible task.  New scope is added after code cut off, APIs with other products change and are inconsistent, and middle management scapegoats and blames developers instead of acting like leaders.  I'm not sure the current project management teams have any concept of how software development cycles work.  About half of the development team from 6 months ago has quit, and the management hasn't addressed the problem.  The parent company has enforced a hiring freeze which not only prevents new reqs from being added, but also stops all backfill.  In addition to the bad working conditions and constant fires, the pay is well below industry standard.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Finastra with regards to the technology and staff.  Very knowledge employees with high intellect and character.  The work-life balance can be managed, so you can control that part.  They are evolving all products to open architecture which vital in the current environment.

This is not a place where you can rapidly advance into roles of higher responsibility.  The management and direction have changed many times over the last 5 years.  However, the division I worked in was very cohesive and the ability to learn was limitless, but just within this group. 

There is money to be made here, but it comes at a heck of a cost. Work / life balance is non existent. Employees are viewed as cogs to make money and to be disposed of on a whim. The culture is one of constant stress and pressure, nothing is ever good enough and don't slip even once. 
The software quality was once good but they farmed development out and quality has consistently gone downhill and the reputation the company had has turned to garbage. The corporate vision, and discussing that is considered more important than delivering solutions that work. 
Again, you can make money here but have an exit strategy because you will need one.

It really depends on the team that you're on. I love all my team members as well as my boss and my bosses boss. I'm happy with the work I'm doing because I'm learning everyday and I feel I'm almost being paid of what I should. Now, when I speak to others in different teams they'll probably leave a 1 star review. Just like any large company you have bullshitters and some managers are just that. They get away with that also due to them being "nice" people or they've been with the company for so long. Things are defiantly changing, but change is slow in a large company.

When Finastra took over the company, they began making changes immediately, without learning about the products or people who work there.  Some of the changes put them in opposition to the Fed's auditors, but they feel they can ignore the US regulators because they are now headquartered in Europe.  They gutted several development teams on the assumption that some programmer yet to be hired somewhere else in the world could pick up development and maintenance tasks without knowing the products or the US regulatory environment.  In my opinion, all of this is astoundingly short-sighted and at odds with normal business practices.

Great place to work.  I was energized every day when I went to work.  We were allowed to work from home one day per week.  I chose to go into the office because it was more informative to overhear the conversations and stay in the know for the project.
Used MS Azure and newer technologies so I always was learning something new.
The layoffs came as a complete shock.  Finastra has a hiring freeze and did not clean up any of the job boards.  They still have openings listed out there that they are not filling.
