The main issues for me were the clinical and front desk staff/ management. I felt like I was back in high school again. There was constant favoritism, the protocols always changed, and you just really never felt valued.  I always went above and beyond and never felt appreciated for my work ethic. That place makes thousands of dollars and the excuse of getting a decent raise was just overall degrading and pathetic. Also, what goes on in Grey's Anatomy also goes on in this place and you aren't punished or penalized for anything. (I guess that's a pro for some though.) On a positive side, I had some very few great co workers that helped get me through majority of my days there. I believe this place needs to focus on better core values. I get the medical field isn't easy, but maybe if they treated more of their employees with a little more respect and appreciation, their turn around wouldn't be so bad. Hopefully some changes are made in the future because if not, you will always have that same outcome. 

Management does not treat people like humans. You are expected to be perfect and never have emergencies. I felt terrible for those who have family members pass while working here. U get one/ two day grievance…… depending on what family members. If you have kids this is not the job for you. Taking off for doctors appointments uses your pto once ur out of pto.. no more off days for u or else you get a passive aggressive phone call threatening ur job. Need to leave early bc ur kids got sick? Nope that can’t happen. You ran out of pto. There is no communication between management and you in person. Everything is emailed. If you have a question and you email, don’t sound too serious or else you will be labeled as aggressive and you will be dismissed very quickly. There is no protection for workers in cases where patients get aggressive with words/throwing things. There are no supervisors in person to handle these types of patients. The only good part of the job is sitting and the fact that the actual front desk staff are the nicest people. They constantly had each others backs and supported each other emotionally.

What is the best part of working at the company?
FSO was one of my all time favorite companies to work for. The doctors were so easy to work with and were always willing to teach. All of the doctors have a great bedside manor and they really care about the patients. Many of the staff have been with the practice for more then 10 years and they worked so well together. Never a shortage of supplies on hand to treat the patients. I worked at FSO for 6 years and I would have not left if my husbands job didn't move us out of state. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I didn't experience much stress working with FSO. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
This is a friendly and welcoming environment. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I was always very busy. This is a large practice with a lot of staff.

Do not work for this company. They will chew you up and spit you out. Some of the supervisors within management will purposely start drama between you and other employees. Your PTO time is almost always denied so good luck booking vacations. Benefits are no good, they do not match 401k nor do they barely contribute. No opportunity for growth or advancement. Some of the Physicians within the practice are bullies; HR or management will not do anything about it, nor do they care. If you are good at your job you will be taken advantage of. If you are wanting to apply for xray- don't bother- they will mainly utilize you for medical assisting. Also, one word: micromanaging. 

Great place to work as far as colleagues. A very large portion of management has personal vendettas to discourage employees from succeeding. Very prevalent bullying and demeaning procedures trickled through all parts of management with direction to ridicule specific people in HR's prospects. Camera's are watched constantly. Most enjoyable parts of the job are the social interactions and the benefits. Positive note is having an allowance for uniforms yearly. Pay is unacceptable and degrading. After a year and a half I was informed "Annual raises are not guaranteed." HR is very difficult to talk to with a constant mockery demeanor resulting in a very high turn over rate across the board.

I wasted several years working for this company and have nothing to show for it. No raises since COVID. They even opted out of giving us covid pay in the instance we tested positive, instead we had to drain our PTO. Benefits are no good, pay is no good. You are treated like a workhorse. Nepotism is prominent here. Management treats you like garbage and there is constant micromanaging. They tolerate bullying by other staff. All they care about is their "numbers".. you are nothing to them. Don't work here unless you want to be mentally/physically drained and underpaid. 

Management is per department- Precert is awesome, great coworkers! H.R. for this company is top notch! They are respectful and easy to talk to, they make sure to introduce everyone that gets hired to everyone in the building- they plan fun things for the workers (in our building, I can't speak on other places) like making everyone breakfast and lunch on occasion, it's a very relaxed and calm atmosphere. I have no problems with anyone I work directly with or otherwise. I highly recommend working here.

First State Orthopedics is one of the cheapest companies I have ever worked for. No short term disability, long term disability, maternity leave/ 401 k match. The company makes you beg for a raise. The management is very unprofessional and uneducated. Very high turnover rate. The company took PPP funds and still layed off massively during the pandemic and now are trying to replace the employees lost with cheaper ones. Stay away. I wouldn't even treat here as a patient. Go to Delaware orthopedics. 

Earn time off can’t take it, not a family oriented company-they don’t care about you having kids. Covid and kids being out of school will cost you your job, they don’t care about having kids even when there were no appointments in the office at the time. Favoritism is a NATURAL environment here. A few coworkers will make it miserable with gossiping and complaining. You will be ridiculed for any mistakes even when you are new. The feeling of relief once being out of there is incredible.

Maybe making a friend but professionally nothing 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No help. Make you feel guilty for any time off. If you have an issue management doesn't help you as they should. There is favoritism and pay sucks

High anxiety unrealistic expectations

Stressful on edge high anxiety it made me physically sick the pay is low and so are the medical benefits
