I came in to the company with the promise of great company culture. However, in my short time with the company I saw many people come and go due to firing or just quitting due to poor management. Turnover is extremely high. I personally never had any issues with management but watching fellow employees continue to be belittled and not valued on the floor really ate at my own personal values. People spend most of their time at work away from their families and should feel some sense of belonging. If you’re looking for a company that values the people that work for them, this is not the company for you. Management honestly needs better leadership training, even though I believe training can’t help some of them. There are some phenomenal managers, the COBRA manager being one of them!! This company has so much potential if they would begin to put people first. This includes some of their clients. A little honesty and integrity goes a long way. Personally I would steer clear from this company and this review is not from an irritated employee who was fired. I left free willingly with a notice. I just don’t want others to be blindsided like I was.

When the top level positions become available, the owners do not  to fill them in, leaving lower level managers scrambling to cover the holes in this sinking ship. 
The work itself and the customers are pleasant. Some of my workers have been a blessing to have met. 
However, if you're late they take the time from your PTO and you are not allowed to make it up by taking a shorter lunch or leaving later. And ABSOLUTELT No overtime. 
Pay Days (I call them Pay Eves) are 1st and 16th and pay checks are distributed usually AFTER 4pm, paper checks, no direct deposit. So, really pay is on the 2nd and the 17th. Thank goodness for Mobile deposits.
They order manila folders 1 box at a time, wait for copier paper to run out before they reorder, horde broken office chairs and have three storage areas half-full of garage-sale furniture and miscellaneous items of actual Business file storage items

To be honest this is a horrible place to work. Managers have no real management skills/training. They are very unprofessional in many ways. For example, gossiping about workers and each other. There is no HR department. The turnaround rate is so high that your workload continuously increases with no raise in pay. The training process is very slow and unorganized. The stress level is too high and not worth it for what they pay. No opportunity to advance, no 401k, no direct deposit. They pay on the 1st and 16th and they wait until 4:00-4:30 pm to hand you your check. If payday lands on a weekend they wait till Monday to pay you. PTO sucks, no sick time. You will be on the phones for half the day on top of your workload that has to be completed that day. The only good thing about working here is some of the coworkers and the Christmas party.

I have been with Flexible Benefit Administrators for about 14 years now.  I absolutely love the culture of the company. The owners truly care for their employees.  If you want to learn a job, they will train you and you have the capability  of learning other jobs as well.  We promote from within.   The most enjoyable part of the job is the appreciation for the employees on a monthly basis.  We enjoy a free breakfast, sometimes lunch and we do team building things outside of the office on company time like bowling, baseball games, etc.  
This is a family.  We all work together to accomplish one goal, to get the job done.

The co-workers are friendly and very knowledgeable.

Learning to talk over the phone with different clients.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Casual and friendly atmosphere. Company have special energy for their employees sometimes.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Each day is different from making invoices to having endless conversations with different people over the phone.

The worst place I have ever worked. I woulent even want my worst enemy working here. HR is a complete joke. All upper management lack in basic people skills and think other employees are peasants compared to them. The only manager that is a good manager is the cobra manager. The flex manager walks around the office gossiping about HER staff but never doing any actual work. The owner thinks he can talk to people whatever way he wasnts. Literally belittles you  every chance possible. Constantly screams. rules change everything day.

I really enjoyed the people that I worked with at FBA. They will train you on what you need to know and you will definitely learn something new each day. I liked working there because it was always something to do to keep you busy and we worked as team to ensure the work was done.

FBA also offered different team building activities such as bowling, Shamrock race and going to the Tides games. In addition, we were provided healthy lunches and even had someone come in to give us massages.

I really enjoyed the diversity of a typical day in this job, my co-workers and the 37.5 hour work week.  The pay scale, advancement opportunity and benefit cost for heads of household is not favorable.  The workplace culture, the lack of fair practices or commitment to customer care in my department, along with the lack of a Human Resources department during most of my time there cost them revenue, clients, as well as qualified applicants and employees.

The most miserable experience of my life. They do not care about the safety and well-being of their employees and will work you to the point of putting you in the hospital due to stress, overworked, increase in anxiety and depression! They fire you for the dumbest reasons all while letting others do what they want to you. The people that survive working their are just as sick as these crazy sick people in the world. Don not work here. EVER!!!

This company was poorly managed from the start til the very end. No structure what so ever. Favoritism shown all across the board. Unprofessional and the the turnover rate is ridiculous. Good for someone young who doesn’t know any better, but not the ideal place for someone wanting a career.
