Florence is a great place to get started with helping people. Fast paced but not a tough job. 7-8 hours a day 20-30 hours a week.

Supervisor/management was terrible. I would never work there as long as they are still there. Singled out and mistreated by your boss is horrible. Racial comments and being talked down on by management is not a good way to go. 

 The residents are amazing amd very easy going, they love to chat. Have a set menu from what they can choose to eat, almost like a restaurant.

I absolutely loved my resident. I was able to joke around with them while also giving them the love and care they needed. However it was very difficult working for the management at Florence. I felt as though my thoughts and concerns were never taken into consideration and the management was always for what was the best benefit for them and not their residents or employees. Have to say some of the hardest people I had to work with. Had to learn a lot on my own. Not much or the best training. Every place has their flaws though.

Work is fast paced and challenging. Company cares about employee's ideas and feedback. Lots of new management with fresh ideas. Balanced out by long-term managers who are knowledgeable and provide expertise. As a non-profit, the company is concerned with taking care of anyone who needs their help. Undergoing a beautiful remodel of all the resident areas. Every workplace has its challenges, but the company is dedicated to always doing its best for the residents.

MGI, Florence Home and House of Hope/Royale Oaks are dedicated professionals who consistently review their care based on their mission and values.  Diligent attention is paid to overall care and increasing happiness throughout the company.  Management is open to listening to improvements, solving issues and creating possibilities. 

I've been employed there for many years and the inconsistency comes from management. They need to redo department heads maybe the facility will run smooth. They have cameras everywhere watching the staff.They dont appreciate the employees they dont get 80 hours.and over worked. Theres no shift differential or incentives.  The care the staff gives to the residents is great. But the CEO has no idea what's going on.

I have been employed with Florence home for over 10 years. I have watched staff come and go in all areas. I can honestly say I love my job here now more than I ever have. We have an administrative team that is driven towards success, support of staff, and greatness. So excited to be part of the new wave.

I wouldn't recommend this place to work. The nurses are lazy, the cna's are overworked, and management cares about no one. Dog food looks better than what they serve the residents. The place is dirty, housekeeping doesn't seem to exist. The turnover is extremely high. State is always getting complaints. Let this be a warning.

Awesome family environment to work! They care about family and employee needs. Flexible schedule. If something comes up during your shift they allow you to go take care of any issues. Management always willing to listen and take the time to help. 

I am a nurse who works at Florence Home. This is a good place to work and the managers really do care about you. It’s busy though! The 2nd & 3rd floors are all remodeled. Some staff have been there a very long time. There is a new Administrator and ADON and they have been very helpful.

Constant turnoever rates in staffing, left floor staff overwhelmed at times. Inconsistencies with management staff lead to lack of leadership on units and miscommunication between management and staff.
