I have worked for many nurse staffing agencies and this is number one for the worst. Shifts get canceled less than a hour before they start with no warning and no compensation so you waste your gas and time. Also they will bully you into what they want you to do. They took me off the roster/suspended me after working 16 hours at a facility that was 2 hours from my home and I got home at noon due to ice and snow on the rd and was not able to make it back out for a 3pm shift. I was officially taken off the roster after giving a two days notice that I was was not able to work a 8 hour shift after booking a week there but canceled 4 out of 5 days due to the fact that is was about 3 hours away. I even explained the distance and that it was not close and that was why I picked too due a week there. Another note they refuse to fill out your recertification even though law says one shift. They want you to do three or more despite the law. I am with two other agencies one for local and another for traveling they notify me, unlike focal point, no matter the time of my shift has been canceled and if not 4 hours prior I am compensated half the shift. I am also not penalized if I call out due to natural disasters or if the facility wants me to travel but cancels more than half my shifts. Focal point does not care about its employees nor that the employees are human beings with families. But if you are desperate go for it. I was that’s why I stuck around as long as I did.

Do not work for this company. They do not care about their employees nor do they stand up for them. They take their employees out the system behind lies that lazy, permanent employees at others facilities tell them. They let their employees get treated with disrespect and act as if they don't know how to handle it. Your shifts are constantly cancelled but if you're sick or have an emergency and cancel a shift they try to penalized you by taking money from your check and not allowing you to be anle to pick up shifts for 2 weeks. Do not work for this company.

Having your shift cancelled or when you get to facility they have too many nurses and you have to go back home

Days seem to run pretty swiftly

Company is strict regarding attendance, but very professional. I do not have to hassle about getting paid, as their payroll coordinator is always available. There is always administrative staff available to speak with regarding any concerns. If you are a person that likes to cancel shifts on a regular or show up to work late, then this is not the company for you. They take pride in their name and expect the field staff to do the same. 

Since starting here, every internal call has ended with, "What can I do to make your job easier? Is there anything I can do to help you?" Very supportive upper management and team members!

I have been with Focal Point Medical Staffing for more than a year, I don't think there was ever a day when I didn't look forward to going to work.

The upper management is great, supportive, and very professional. The pay is great. My teammates are great. Best company I've worked with.

I work for them over a two years before I moved out of state and if I was still in state, I would still be with the company. They was good at given me work had no issues with payments daily pay great people I work for no complaints.!!!

Worst job ever! They call your past 9pm sometimes if you’re a minute late they calling you and they deduct money out of your check if you miss a day regardless if a family member passed,each day is $50

Great place to work!  Focal Point Management is top notch! they're very professional and supportive.

The company has great pay/benefits for all their staff.

Are you serious?!!! They have hardly any jobs on the Wilmington NC area! They try to cheat you on your pay when you do get to work. This place is a joke.
