Pathetic place to work. Horrendous Management.  All the managers have no clue why they are doing a particular project. No clue of ROI. No clue of execution style. No clue of people management skills.
And you dare not question anything because if you do then you would be penalized very brutally.  

They utter false statements about your work to the team and make you look like a complete idiot. She will micromanage you and make your life a living h*ll. You will never be allowed to work from home but the managers assign themselves one dedicated day every week where they work from home. We contractors are treated like slaves. Rather everyone in the team is treated like slaves and they sit on top of others  like queen bees. I am actively looking out and want to run as fast as I can from this h*ll. 

Peeps who are planning to apply to positions at Ford Direct: When you see any job opening, search when the opening was first posted. You will see that job openings are not being filled for months, people and consultants are now running away from here as they should be, no one is joining this place anymore. 

The good talent is leaving. Also, word of mouth is more powerful than PR posted reviews. The only thing that we get to hear is the new management is looking into it and some improvements are being made. Advice to "New Management" you need to really open your eyes and identify the teams where there has been maximum turnovers to identify the pain point and remove it.  Cancer needs to be removed if you have to heal your body else be ready to die. Build the reputation back again.

I would make calls to my clients, check up on them and ask about their new car. meet and greet customers who become my clients and help them find the vehicle they want and or need whether it's new or Preowed or not. i learned how the selling process goes and a lot about the vehicles i was selling. the management was great one of them and i became friends and the work place was clean and great made lots of friends for some one who just moved to Maryland. the hardest part of the job was getting the customer to open up and trust me the part i enjoyed the most was meeting and helping people.

To start off, there is NO HR. Working here you deal with managers who don’t care about you or your department and everything will be blamed on you despite having high numbers (numbers higher than the manager). The GM often goes into fits and will layoff or become very sassy towards anyone who approaches him. Working here you never know if your job is safe because they’ll just hire your replacement, have you train them, then decide if you’re worth keeping or not. The communication skills of the managers are comparable to children. They also don’t have a set training protocol. They just wing it then blame YOU for not doing the job correctly.

Lesser said the better.

I love Ford, make no mistake. This is NOT Ford, its Ford Direct, a pathetic painful sister of Ford. 

The concept of FD is uber cool, but whats a vision without clear thought leadership or strategy.

If I were to guess, it runs by whims and fancies of people who have no clue and throwing money at anything. 

Place has more political ruin, backstabbing than Game of Thrones and if the management were to think why - it would help them in their longer term.

So If I were to recommend in 2 words - STAY AWAY.

Do not make the mistake of thinking this is Ford Motor Co.

During my less than five years at FordDirect there were three different CEOs and I worked under three different Sr. VPs.

As the company has grown it has struggled to activate effectively against its value proposition.  Once ironed out and effectively demonstrated, the value will be better believed and supported by the dealer customers.

The company is more of a fast follower vs. a leader in digital marketing solutions.  Leads to concerns regarding future vitality, especially if not successfully activating against a unique value proposition.

Mix of really great people to work with and disjointed and disorganized management style. Seems that it is more important to hit a deadline than to deliver a quality product.  More meetings than actual work. The culture is slowly changing with new leadership at the top but it seems there a lot of me before team and political maneuverings. Still undecided who will win out in the end.

I work for this company for about 2 months… the money was good- the owners were alright- where the real trouble was, SERVICE MANAGEMENT.  Favoritism was a huge problem. Rules for one were different than rules for others. Extremely disorganized, pay didn’t always add up. Better off to not bother, save yourself the headache.

very tense, they have the weirdest way of running their offices there.

I would register vehicles for customers so they didnt have to worry about doing everything.

There wasn’t any they do not treat employees well at all

They expect you to work 6 days a week from open to close

It was always stressful and constant nagging 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
People calling and telling me to work longer and harder.

Even before the loss of their biggest cash cow FDC - they place loss key staff since the beginning of 2022.  The leaders that made that place great mostly have one in the IT department save RJ.  I had great co workers there so I hope they find a stable new business structure with all of this reimagining.
