If you enjoy a challenging work environment, this could be the right place for you. Families and patients can be difficult at times, but that’s anywhere in healthcare. A place where a nurse can utilize many of their skills to care for residents (IV insertion, blood draws, IV ABT, assessment, EKG, suctioning, g-tubes etc) not just popping pills and doing treatments. Large patient mix; varying age groups, acute and chronic problems. 3 - 12 hour shifts a week is nice. LPN and RNs work together, there is no vast difference between roles except for scope of practice/supervisory duties.  RTs manage vents, perform trach care and administer breathing txs etc. Over all, the majority of team members are fun to work along side. It takes a strong and dedicated person to work here. It’s not perfect, but what place is?

Caring for residents. And my coworkers that have a caring heart

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Resident ratio and the uninformed unprofessional management who don’t care about holding people accountable for they’re work!! To much gossiping and no structure!! Management goes be hearsay. Aim addition to not running the place professionally. Most workers are neglecting patients right in front of their faces!! And when you bring it to the attention of the DON/ADON nothing is done! 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s like working in a daycare/ high school 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Unstructured and chaos. And short staffed

It is a very difficult place to work,  the only positive for me is 12 hr shifts and it’s location    You have to be a rear individual to be able to fit in and continue to work here, they’ve lost so many employees  right after orientation.   The stuff that I see going on there, I have not seen in my 26 years of Nursing.   It’s very clique and if your not in the clique they’ll push to get rid of you, I’ve went to HR but I’m outnumbered and no one wants to hear one thing.  The ADON is so unprofessional and prejudice contributing to making it difficult to work there.  They go around soliciting staff to talk bad about you and than write you up for absurd things.   Another employee informed me and told me to be careful.  This is no kind of place to work.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It used to have great coworkers now it just seems to have fallen apart.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything.   Your license is on the line, no stability and it has no compassion. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It needs alot of reconstructive administration.   There is no help and very top heavy, leaving the actual workers empty handed.   

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful, felt alone most of my shifts.  You will argue with other co-workers just to merely do the job they were paid to.  No recourse for bad behavior.   Nurses just get up and leave.

beware - terrible leadership which read the reviews!! Unless your desperate, this place will treat you poorly, pay the lowest in all the area for Nurses and promise one thing and then laugh and say oh I was wrong just to get you in the door.
VP has a his way or no way approach. He won’t talk to anyone not on his paygrade, works his DON and staff to the point they look sick, and are scared of homand thinks he is above the law, but every dog has their day and he is going to be no different! The owner allowing this man to run his once in place into the ground well shame on him for hiring such a unethical ruthless p

The best part of the job is the residents, their families and those co-workers that help one another.  I've learned a lot working at Fox - some good, some bad.  Workplace culture could use some help, but there are a lot of the staff that are really great.  Unless you are in nursing in some capacity - or considered management, the pay isn't great.   Decent benefits.  The hardest part of the job is getting people to accept change.  

Right now, with the Covid pandemic, everyone's tensions are high, everyone is tired, and trying hard to keep the facility covid-free - so it isn't a great time to write a true review.

 Although you have less residents to care for than a typical nursing home, do not think there's shortage of work that needs to be done. These residents depend on us for ALL of their care. often times coworkers keep to themselves and don't work together, but there are exceptions. Ask for help and you will receive it for the most part. I would say communication could be improved. communication among nurses and CNAs when it comes to delegation. I feel like everyone should be paired care and you should be assigned to work teams. 

I enjoy being part of the Fox family. Since I've been here, the changes have been amazing to see. The opinion at FOX is that management really does care, and truly wants to make a difference. We are weaning the residents, they are going home without vents and trachs this hasn't happened since is started here. Families are now requesting to have their loved ones sent here for vent weaning and rehab. I honestly do believe that we are making a difference here, we are family!

Getting to know residents! Working with new , old coworkers!

Have to work  short  sometimes....

It was a great environment  ansms culture,they celebrated their employees every chance there was. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Doing 12 hour shifts,working  close to a great coworker and getting the work done,while keeping the residents safe!

At Fox we are family. My colleagues became my friends, we always have an open and honest communication. It gets very busy, its not an easy place to work but with the cooperation, support and the team members sense of humor anything can be done. My schedule is so perfect too. The management was nice enough to accommodate a fix days schedule.  As a mother of an Autistic child, alternating days off does not work. I could not ask for more. Im thankful for Fox Subacute management and team members.
