While enjoy I  working at this location and with their client, I cannot say the same for  my interactions with the GLC Group representatives that handle my clients account have been unprofessional and at times unethical. There is no advocating for their employees, no GLC representative on site, only for the client and they have no idea what our daily work environment like or the daily issues that we have, even  if you communicate to them. It will always be the clients word against yours no matter what proof you provide. The job description that you are told during the interview process does not match what you'll actually be doing. I've asked on three different occasions over the last few months what exactly is my job description and I have yet to received a response. So far I am working in the IV room, inventory( ordering and stocking),delivery to patient units and omnicell, unit dose, cart fill and retrieving cleaning  supplies from the hospital basement often with no break.  Additional tasks are often added, sometimes daily, with no communication with GLC.

There is a world of opportunity within this location but GLC representatives will need to be more for there employees, not their client!

GLC is a company with high standards, and rightfully so. They want to be the best, and in order to do that, they want the best. However, at the same time they will treat you like family as long as you behave like family. 

Since I have been working there they have given me the freedom and responsibility to manage the department as I have deemed necessary.  They have trusted me to make any decision necessary to improve the process, implement new policies and make overall decisions that will benefit the department as a whole. 

They have always recognized my hard work and treated me with respect. They have allowed me to grow, and have been supportive as GLC grows day by day. You can tell that hard work does not go unnoticed, like stated before, they want to be the best and to be the best you have to work hard.

I work with a great group of talented people and I am proud to say I work for GLC. 

One thing I love the most, are the good morning hugs. Every morning the COO comes in with a smile on his face, ready to start the day and makes sure you are in good spirits. He is always there for you should you need anything and he is just a ray of sunshine!

I have been with GLC for 6 years and worked within the staffing industry for 25 years and can honestly say that I have never experienced the family atmosphere that I have at GLC.  During my tenure GLC has grown dramatically as a direct result of the pride of ownership and commitment to quality demonstrated by each employee. I’ve been a travel RN with GLC Group for over 3 years now, and honestly, they’ve been amazing. My recruiter has been the same from the start, and she’s always quick to respond, whether it's a late-night text or just checking in to see how things are going. I declined a few offers before I accepted the offer from GLC Group. During my interview with the CEO, he presented me with an opportunity to be part of a growing team where I could bring my experience and be free to do things my way. This was true from day one. I am allowed to come to work everyday and work freely. I can make my own decisions and have support and guidance when needed.  The trust and respect is present at all times, which is the reason I wake up excited and engaged everyday. GLC is a smaller agency that has experienced rapid growth over the years, and that does come with some growing pains. 

A typical day is printing out all pods with a medication list then passing pills in the pods to the inmates that consist of anywhere from 70 -100 inmates. I learned to go on codes with the nurses if they needed backup or help with CPR or lifting the inmate up to a comfortable position. Management there were pleasant and helpful. The co-workers were helpful when needed. It was a challenge making sure the inmates swallowed their pills and didn't cheek them to give or sell them to other inmates. The most enjoyable part of the job it was never a dull moment.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is no best part. My recruiter sent me where he wanted me to go and this companyndo not fight for or have the back of their workers. You can find better. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
My recruiter. Make sure you find someone that has the time for you. My recruiter was sooooo overwhelmed, he had sooooo many contacts. I almost felt as if there was some sort of contest going on within the company.

I was a travel CNA so I was never at the company.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They are amazing to work with! They're very helpful and work with your schedule as much as possible! Very quick to respond and just fast at getting you staffed based on your needs overall!.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
This company could pay a little more overall. They pay decent but it's not as much as some other agencies.

Fast paced, very positive place to work with.

Getting placed at different facilities working a contract

GLC is great for part-time work if you are not seeking steady work or if you work elsewhere and are looking for supplemental  income. You work with one recruiter who will reach out to you with client requests for coverage. I like that you can say no if you have other obligations, which is why I like PRN work. But, after 1.5 years with GLC, I have had several cancelled bookings, sometimes at the last minute, with no compensation. This is especially annoying when you rearrange your schedule to accommodate their requests. Additionally, the pay is way below average if you have experience.
