A typical day at work includes arriving to the office, cleaning all testing supplies, stocking up testing materials, then the rest of the day you test pools, as well as other outdoor water samples, and test them for DPD (chlorine) and PH levels. You return back to the office and the people working in the lab obtain your samples from the day. I learned how to follow sanitation procedures and how to properly sample waters. The management at the Waretown office is very nice and is flexible with your work schedule. Last summer, I worked here as well as my other job because of the great flexibility. The hardest part of the job is having to contact the pool manager at the main branch when a code or hours of the pool location is off. Sometimes during weekends he is not there, therefore some pools I was not able to test sometimes, but this did not happen very often. The most enjoyable part of the job was being remote for most of the day, outside in the beautiful summer weather of New Jersey. You are also outside in the sun during peak UV radiation hours, I got a really good tan, however, you need a lot of sunscreen if you burn easily and do not forget bug spray.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is a lot of pros about the company.. the people, Christmas bonus, outings with co workers provided by the company, bagels in the morning. Freedom during the day , as long as you finish your designated tasks. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not being paid enough for the workload. Sometimes company can leave you in the dark regarding policy.. Also the training process was a little choppy when I worked there. Wouldn’t be trained properly and then you get in trouble for it being done incorrectly. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Calm and quiet. Everyone takes their jobs very seriously. Not a fun work environment at all but, it is a lab.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You come in and get your paper work, sanitize as many coolers as you need. (There is a decent amount of lifting) proceed to your route and do required testing/pick ups or deliveries.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good people. Hard working environment. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It's really not that stressful. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Hard working but laid back. Everybody knows what needs to be done and it gets done. Pretty efficient without being overwhelming. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
For a field sampler, show up at the lab between 7 and 10 a.m. It's up to the driver. About an hour or more driving to start the run. Runs can be 7 miles away,  or a 100+ miles away. Anywhere from 3 to 15 stops. Grab and label samples. Try to get back before 5 p.m. or 6 if there is communication with the labs.

Ability to interact with employees who make any business run smoothly plus to promote efficiency within the business.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
None pressure comes with a position how you handle it defines who you are.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Intense at time but rewarding 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy but rewarding, accomplishment feels good.

Management is very unprofessional. Although there are Standard Operating Procedures set in place, what you actually do is whatever a manager says and what they say can and will change on a daily. Management will blame everything on their workers instead of finding their fault in the situation and finding a solution.  
You are not compensated fairly. When addressing the disparity in your pay and what it should be, they put it off and never actually pay you what you and your skills are worth. 

Whatever you learn thats what you will do everyday and years to come.
Management supper busy, no time for employee concerns.
Work place very cool and chill. 
Hardest part finding the water samples. They were lost all the time. People wouldn’t put them back where they belong. Everyday struggle finding them.
Enjoyable was managing your own time. Don't have to be on time,  just make sure you make your hrs. You’re free to do whatever after you finish your work. 

This job taught me so much about my work and myself, but it also taught me it is important to put up healthy boundaries in the work place. They are in desperate need of a human resource department because upper management can be very unprofessional. They will work you and pay you very little but its a great stepping stone and looks good on a resume.

I worked for them since 2016 as a Field Sampler P/T during the Summer on the weekends.  I can't complain, they compensated me when I needed the extra money!

I was fired because I had a mental breakdown caused from the job. Management sucked, you went to them for issues and they would turn a deaf ear. Do not waste your time working here. They barely train you, overwork you and underpay you. 

It is a great placr to work. Management was fair, made sure everyone was thoroughly trained. Great work culture. Everyone was friendly. The work was easy once you got into the habit of being accurate. Honest work.
