A typical day at work includes receiving new patient referrals via a log or email. The work itself is not bad, I enjoy helping people and I am satisfied when i have eased the mindset of people that are ill and will be benefitting from programs that may help cover their hospital bills. I am personally dissatisfied with the way this company works as a whole and how my current manager is constantly finding ways to lower the morale amongst our team. The manager is constantly finding ways to nit pick our staff and never commends us for our achievements or hard work. It is very discouraging to go to a work environment when the manager is the one who creates a hostile environment and animosity amongst co workers. He “stirs the pot" as he always uses that term to describe how other create this environment. There is no privacy with this particular manager that oversees LA based facilities. You cannot tell this manager anything about another employee because he will tell that person who told him, again no privacy, therefore, everyone just keeps everything to themselves. If you tell on another employee, he will make sure to throw you under the bus by telling that person, thus, creating a hostile environment. It feels as though you work for your manager only because there is no point of contact with anyone else in this company, if you try to go above your manager you will just be referred back to your manager. This company also recently sent a mass email stating that they will be raising employees pay but when you ask the manager if there will be an increase the response is always i don’t know, they haven’t said anything, and in the end no one got a raise because there were so many rules of what made you get excluded from getting a raise. I wouldn’t be able to tell you what the starting pay for this company is as i was absorbed from another company who was bought out, therefore,  everyone started off at the pay rate they were at with the previous company. This company also offers medical benefits but the rate is so overpriced, how can you pay $140 bi weekly and still have to pay for dental and vision separately, in total for dental vision and medical you would spend $159 bi weekly. I would not recommend this job to anyone. The worst thing about this job is the manager. He praises quantity not quality. The average time that a person stays with this company is one year, and it just shows the type of stress you have to endure because you are always understaffed.

The environment is very dirty. My first red flag was the tear in the receptionist area in their ancient black couch. If there is any property management within this company, they are unconcerned with the quality or health of their employees. The carpets are ripped and coming up, the cubicles are jammed together with inadequate space personal space for their CSR's. I very sure after talking with the CSR's that their is a mold or dust problem in the HVAC system as many of them complain of allergies, and illness where their symptoms disappear when they are out of the office. 

Now, the managers walk around and around many times a day throughout the rows of cubicles just watching people. Really! I'm not kidding. As a former manager myself, this was a bit shocking. If a CSR is off the phone for what they consider to be too long due to writing notes, or researching something, training, or whatever they will immediately get on you about it. Micromanaging is a constant problem. I've never seen so many demoralized people in one office in my 20 year career. I saw one woman in complete tears because she was overwhelmed and couldn't get help on how to handle a customer. She was new. It was upsetting. 

I will say that my manager was very nice and the supervisors seemed nice as well, and I think they are all worried about their own jobs as well. I did see a lot of drama during my stay and there is favoritism and lots of friends of friends or family working there. They love to have potlucks and decorate for the holidays thru the year. I was in the soft collection customer service group. Let's be real. It's collections, period.  They have other groups that I saw that seem more relaxed and happy, but not in the collection groups on the phones. I have seen the best of call centers over my career, this was literally the very worst.  I was trying to work closer to home, so that is why I had a brief stay here. My advice to those unhappy 
 CSRs is; "you are worth so much more and need to go where your are happy, not demoralized. Don't give up you can find better!"

 If you ever wonder what it really fills like to be part of a team and not just a number in a group of employees, GetixHealth IS IT! From the moment you begin your journey with us, it starts. The trainers...they start day one ensuring that you feel like part of the team. You're constantly reminded that all the information given to you will make sense in time and that they will always be available for help until it does. The supervisors and leads... When you're told that they have your back and support you, it's a fact! They are always there to help at any moment. If you're stuck and don't know the answer...If a call is difficult and you need help getting through it....If you need one on one time for some extra assistance on understanding something...THEY SHOW UP! Supervisors and leads who schedule "check ins"... not to harp on your mistakes, but to ask you how you're doing and how can they help to make it better...crazy, right?! But at GetixHealth that's the norm! The coding and insurance team...talk about thorough and fast! There are time frames for all requests, but they are always making sure that we have any information needed to keep patients and families updated at any time. Now the CSRs...amazing to be part of this team! Seeing how each individual handles calls, supports each other when follow up is needed, detailed on notations to help the next rep that may speak with the patient in the future, and cheering each other on when there are notable successes...it's a great feeling being part of GetixHealth no matter what area you work in. The entire team deals with a lot, but at least once a day we all come together in Teams to just make each other laugh!!

I’ve been trying to share this review for over five years because my experience at GetixHealth was one of the most difficult of my career in nearly 18 years of mental health billing.

I was originally hired as a biller and quickly found myself solely responsible for multiple facilities and every provider within them. The workload placed on a single person was far beyond what I would consider realistic or sustainable. No matter how experienced you are, one person cannot successfully manage the volume their billers are expected to handle.

When GetixHealth took over, long-time supervisors, some with many years of experience, left one after another. Because of the sudden vacancies, I was moved into a supervisory role, not through structured development or support, but simply because there was no one else left to fill the gaps. The lack of stability made performing the job incredibly challenging.

Based on what I experienced firsthand, I do not believe the company functions in a way that supports employees or long-term client satisfaction. Seeing the many similar reviews over the years, combined with what I personally witnessed, I am honestly shocked they are still able to gain and keep clients. In my opinion, the issues were so significant that I genuinely question how the business is able to operate as it does.

While others may have different perspectives, my experience was overwhelmingly negative, and I would NEVER return or recommend this workplace.

The job itself is not difficult; it's basic customer/patient service, assisting with billing questions and submitting requests for disputes/account reviews. Most of the people I've met have been easy to get along with; I personally never felt too much tension here, socially. 

Unfortunately, the turn over is incredibly high, due to a number of reasons: 
- Favoritism/Nepotism: the management tends to favor certain employees, and very obviously, allowing transgressions with minimal consequence from these individuals while punishing others. The favored employees are typically friends with or related to management/supervisors. Many of the people in my department quit for this reason. 
- Lack of Communication: There are lapses in communication between management and employees, as well as frequent miscommunication, usually regarding rules/policies integral to department function. 
- Low Pay: A majority of the employees have children, and the average wage falls below 15.00/hr, with minimal chances for wage increase. Prior to my employment, I was advised of frequent raises of 1.00+; this is no longer the case. 
- Minimal Chances for Advancement: Promotions are typically given to favored/related employees, and there are typically no wage increases/promotions for the regular employees who take on more responsibility (training, extra projects, etc.)

This company is terrible. Management is lazy, unorganized and inefficient. Unless you like dealing with angry customers with every call and getting caught between a dispute with a customer and this company don’t work here. There’s no support system, management does everything in their power to not do their job and will actually deny your request for assistance. The work staff is obviously understaffed and supervisors will send you emails to stop having customers speak with them because the work load is HUGE and will force you to deal with extremely angry customers.

Proceed with caution: the interview process is fine, as is the work but the culture is not. The management team spends far too much time micromanaging their employees and the concern for autonomy is seriously lacking. 

Understandable that as a remote employee, the company wants to know that we are doing our jobs but we are adults- yet they had tracking software that includes live video feed so they can see everything you do throughout your day. Not just your screens, but you as well. (So make sure you aren't peeking at your phone even once or make sure nobody pops into view by accident). 

Training is lacking and there is no flexibility or concern about employee availability. My team was largely open to a variety of schedules, but it seemed like anytime we need to step away for an emergency, or if someone needed to be out of pocket for an appointment, it was frowned upon. 

Onboarding takes forever. You'll spend days going over procedures that don't apply as you are a remove worker.

Oh, your training pay is NOT what you agree to upon signing your contract. For example 2 others including myself noticed that our contracts/offer letters indicated one wage and our check that had training was nearly 10 dollars lower. 

Not worth the effort or headache.

Working at GetixHealth has been a truly rewarding experience!!! 

As an HRBP at GetixHealth, my days are a blend of strategic planning, employee relations, and collaboration with management to align HR practices with business objectives. I’ve gained extensive experience in talent management and driving employee engagement. While management is supportive and values feedback, I think we can always improve our employee engagement. The workplace culture is inclusive and innovative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and mutual respect. The most challenging part of the role is managing high volumes of employee requests and balancing competing priorities during peak periods. However, the most rewarding aspect is contributing to a positive work environment and seeing the direct impact of HR initiatives on employee satisfaction and organizational success. Overall, GetixHealth offers a dynamic and fulfilling environment with ample opportunities for professional growth and meaningful contributions. 


PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!
To start this company have issues starting from the CEO of the company having her 16 yr old son write about how he is employed by the company under the table and that was able to purchase a car as a tax write off from the company. Second, the company is so unorganized to the extreme. The have rules about no cells phones on the floor but everyone uses their phone religious especially the managers. They are new managers coming into the company trying to basically downsize departments without the knowledge of knowing how the people in the department benefits the company; just to have Bangalore India people do all the work incorrect just for cheap labor. This place fires people if they are on FMLA leave of absence. If you sick than suck it up your doctors excuse to this company does not mean anything. I see why this company has been sold around three times. They do not appreciate their workers they only care about themselves. Do not expect a raise because the VP will make sure that you wont receive it. You will be paid the same pay for the rest of your life here with way of moving to a better position.

We are in desperate need of more employees in my department. Employees leave and the rest are expected to pick up the slack because we aren't considered a profitable enough part of the Getixhealth family. 
I am having a hard time understanding how a company based in Texas can understand the workload we have in Michigan, and not grant management permission for more employees. We may not be the most profitable part of Getix but we still have a LARGE work load. 
I used to love my job before it was bought out by Getix, after that our insurance went sky-high, people were laid off and the work load is out of control.
Also the communication between our central office and ours is terrible. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and things constantly are being lost or mismanaged.
As for the company itself, I work for a strong team and I have a great boss, we all work very hard and the communication is great among ourselves. They are understanding if you have to take time off unpaid or are having family issues.
