I love working for Goldfein! I have worked at Goldfein for over 2 years, and am so pleased and happy with my experience. If you show that you are a hard worker, have leadership potential, and are trustworthy and responsible, you will be given opportunity for advancement. They like to find talent within their employees for new positions or needs within the company, and will reach out to you if you have an opportunity that they think you’d be a good fit for. I initially applied thinking this would just be a temporary job until I could get hired doing something I “actually wanted” to do, but I’ve been able to start building a career with Goldfein. 

The company puts a lot of emphasis on training and continuous learning. You do not need to know anything about the industry to be hired and be successful, just be ready to learn and be a good worker. You are encouraged to ask questions, and from my experience the supervisors and team leads will take time to give you a thorough explanation when you are unsure about a process or concept. 

 Do not work here if you do not like change and are not flexible. Because the company is very entrepreneurial and has significant growth, there are constant changes to adapt to, but this makes for plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and advance your career. It is an exciting and stimulating environment to work in. The type of work demands a fast-paced work environment, and while some tasks are repetitive, I find that the repetition is balanced by needing to think on your feet and solve problems as they arise—overall the work is engaging and not too stressful. 

The management is kind and supportive. They want to make sure you are set up for success and have the support you need to be successful. If you feel like you are struggling, either with your work or personally, all you need to do is speak up and you can find help and support. There is a great team atmosphere, and while there are not as many opportunities for socialization as there would be in a traditional office setting, you have many opportunities to meet face-to-face with your team and your supervisors. You do not feel as if you are working alone, even as you work remotely. 

They give PTO and good benefits, but I wish that you got more PTO than you are initially allotted. 

This had to be the WORSE place to experience. The management is full of lies and deceit. There are literally ZERO amenities given, no coffee/tea, and not even a microwave. This may seem petty to some but when the pay does not afford the luxury of daily take out. The management is disgusting and sick. They are rude and will take advantage of you and use you. The owner himself told me that he thinks of all employees as computers with good or bad hardware installed. 

Racism plagues this office to the extreme. As well discriminator from men to women, There is no set pay scale, like legit EVERYONE is making different amounts of pay and the hiring team will lie about the pay scale for your team. You will go to your team and be shocked that sssooo many people make so much more than you.

The mass majority of the managers are not educated. They legit have zero power and have. They are all puppets and are miserable. They legit have no original thoughts or ideas. They have no workplace professionalism and will tell you all there personal business and then criticize "gossiping". When all they do is tell you stuff you could care less about. Like ew. Furth more they will lie on you to save themselves. Literally no professionalism, I'll blame it on the owner refusing to hire a HR team. They need an HR team.

Lastly this job will ONLY work if you can sit still for 8hrs and only use the restroom twice a day on your allotted 10 minute break. Like legit you can not move and there are cameras watching you all day to see where you are and what you are doing all day. It is to the extent that even the managers are dodging the owner while he is on one of his walks. 4 people quit within 48hrs. 
 
This is a stepping stone. If you are young and smart don't get stuck here. This job is for old people or people with nothing going for them that can be bought by a title and "salary". Get in there learn about the insurance field and GET OUT ASAP!!!!!

No place is perfect, but this place is far from ideal.  The culture comes from the very top at Goldfein Claims Management, so it is not likely to change anytime soon if ever.

Projects are chaotic in nature - lots of "focus on this now" followed hours or a day or two later by "that is no longer urgent, focus on this instead".  Management style encourages everyone to be always "on the edge" with many in my team asking "am I next" with regards to remaining employed - this does not foster a culture of retention.  If you need a sense of "job security" do not come here.  There is an exceedingly high turnover rate.

Other than a good 401K with matching, benefits are minimal with PTO setup to recognize the high turnover nature (only 5 days PTO each year for the first 2 years) with never any rollover, nor "value" for unused PTO if fired, quit, etc., so no payout of any earned but not yet used.  A related issue is management that attempts to guilt one out of taking any PTO that has been granted even when the use is for a medical appointment, etc.


A typical day at work for me is Monday - Friday, 7 am - 4 pm central time. I log in to my programs, check emails and get to work. I have two 10 minute breaks and an hour lunch. Majority of my day is spent on the phone requesting documents for the cases assigned to me.  

The Learning and Development Team are superb. I've never worked for a company that devoted so much time and resources to make sure you were confident and ready to do what your role requires. During virtual training they continuously make sure you are retaining and understanding the learning materials with feedback questions and hands on learning. 

Management has been great so far also. I know I can reach out to not only my manager but fellow employees and the Learning and Development Team if I need to. 

I enjoy logging in and working each day I'm scheduled and look forward to it daily. 

I'll admit that I was a little skeptical about pursuing a 100% remote job, mainly because I wasn't quite sure how training would pan out in a fully remote setting, however once I started training with Goldfein, I felt MUCH better. The training provided by Goldfein is very in-depth and thorough. The group that I trained with was a rather small group which made it extremely easy to follow along, ask questions, request clarification, etc. Honestly, I've never received such in-depth training in any prior jobs before joining Goldfein. The learning & development team is very educated, understanding and super supportive. I have received a lot of positive feedback and everyone has made sure to help understand anything that I've had a hard time with. All-in-all, everyone with Goldfein is amazing. Even in being a fully remote setting, I feel more as  family than an employee or co-worker. Goldfein is a great place to work, learn and a great company that promotes within!

I have recently started working here and so far I have been amazed. I was afraid at first because you do see bad reviews however I haven't experienced any of the bad things many have expressed. The company is very fast pace (Depending on the department) I have already been moved to another department and the company send praises to show you that your hard work is not going unnoticed. The tough thing for me with the job is job security. When signing onboard paperwork, there is a sheet that must be signed that basically states you can be fires with no explanation and you can also quit without explanation. I keep my faith that nothing goes wrong and I have to leave this company . I haven't started receiving benefits as of yet however I love that 401k starts up fast. My supervisors have been SUPER SUPER nice, never worked under people who cares as much as they do. I would recommend any one with great values and morals to work here. The energy is just amazing.

I thought this was the job of my dreams. It seemed like a great culture and I was able to work from home off the phone and take care of my newborn. Then they switched me around to multiple different teams before placing me on one that required phone work (without asking me) and fired me because I wasn’t able to do phone work. They made it seem like they were working to find something for me in a different pet of the company then introduced me to my replacement and fired me an hour later with no warning and no notice that my job was suddenly dependent on my ability to make phone calls. I had no issues with my productivity on off phone work and was regularly told I was doing a great job. 

They are snakes and will screw you over without warning. They blindsided me and fired me less than two weeks before Christmas.

in the beginning  everything seems like it's great. your happy that your making $15 p/h your aloso offered benefits. you feel like this is a company you can stick with and make a career out of. However slowly but surely you start to realize that the owner of the company care nothing about you. The way he speaks to you and treats you is inhumane. no raises or bonus to look forward to. it honestly feels like a prison. with cameras everywhere and being scolded if you are out your seat after sitting there for hours on end looking at a scream and uploading documents all day. when you first start working here your doing one job then your being crossed trained ind thrown into 2-3 different jobs with no pay or acknowledgment. in the mean time the owner is saying be happy that u get 15 and benefits "out my own pocket" if you even ask about pay increase or promotion.

Its funny how every negative review has a response from the company saying "The comments here do not sound like our company culture" when in fact that is EXACTLY how the company and culture is at Goldfein, they do not care and will easily replace you.  Seen several people let go my first couple months even though they were top performers.  they only care about getting results no matter how much they run you into the ground.  You always feel uneasy because of the toxicity and getting yelled at by customers all day long,  mixed in with low wages and high medical insurance.  This place is not worth everything you have to endure on a daily basis


I have been at Goldfein for over four years and have worked in multiple departments. 

What really stands out about Goldfein is constant improvement. Whether its system issues, opportunities for process improvements or just taking care of the employees- this company is always making changes for the better. I appreciate the remote flexibility but like my peers so much that I wouldn't mind a half office/ half from home model. 

Yes, working here does require working. I am expected to pull my weight.... just like I expect everyone around me and my leadership to pull their weight. Incredibly, if you do just that - your job - before you know it raises and promotions come.
