Schedule gets changed weekly. Can't make plans ahead of time. Say goodbye to your nights and weekends. Job makes you work 6 days a week 12 hour days. Management cares more about speed of production than quality. Will find reasons to fire you and pay less to new hires. Only few managers knows how to run machines. Group leaders and supervisors will disappear for hours when problems during production occur. They have you come in for 6 hour days on holidays and decide to make you stay 12 or more hours.

•	Place orders for inventory.
•	Manage all employees along with store surroundings to ensure safety. 
•	Open and close store.
•	Ensure safe and all registers balance.
•	Hire and fire employees if needed.
•	Handle customers with the best service.
•	Calculated projected sales for each day to determine necessary food preparation.
•	Performed scheduled maintenance on fryer, slicer, refrigerator and freezer in store.
•	Change out internal and external signs for weekly sales.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long work days. 13 hour days and not enough time off

It’s bread and all they care about is the yield percentage for the day. Workers come last. Quality of bread has gotten worse over the years. Loss of customer contracts seems to be a regular thing. 6 day 12hr shifts leaves no time for life. No matter what age you are. Schedule changes when they want with no notice. 
Stay away. 

I want to be clear about company. Far as company goes it is one the best company and very family owned. But manager act like they they are the only one and nobody around them. Very selfish when is come respecting employee and their works. Also when they need something they are down the earth but when employee need something who are you? In interview they promised is
different than what you see down the road.

The pay is great, but no work/life balance. During the summer it is 30 degrees warmer inside than outside. They are lax on keeping the facility disinfected and they will change your schedule in the middle of the day and not tell you. They do have good benefits and due to there high turnover moving up is fairly easy.

Pockets of excellence, but typical culture.  Speed takes preference over accuracy, and huge amounts of waste are generated every day.  Local management is forward thinking.  Cost of benefits is prohibitive.  Pay scales are not keeping up with the competition.  Losing too many good people to burnout.

My advice, if you get hired here do everything to keep this job. Pay is amazing always getting a raise. Hours are long. I started as a baker which I knew nothing about & was then promoted to Machine Operator and a trainer.

Stuck in their ways, no training on machinery but given plenty of PM work on equipment but can't complete because their always running.
You are set up to fail, never appreciated. Maintenance workers are a revolving door.

At Gonnella you have the opportunity to work a considerable amount of overtime. The pay is good and the benefit of being able to bring fresh bread home was nice.
