A typical day at work isn't always very challenging.  I do almost the same thing every day, and my opinion is that an individual's creativity isn't always acknowledged.

What I have learned from my current position is that people will not always acknowledge your support in the heat of the moment, but once the "dust is settled", they realize that we do everything we can in order to provide the best options for their loved ones.

Management could stand to be a bit more involved in the day-to-day well being of their employees.  It would be beneficial if they attempted to have more staff meetings in order to ensure that we are all on the same page.

The hardest part of my job is the lack of respect that the people in my position endure.  We do so much to assist and accommodate everyone else, yet we are treated with the least amount of respect.

The most enjoyable part of my job is getting to know the patients (as opposed to them being a bed number), and their family members.

Pre-registered and registered patients requiring emergency medical treatment. Conducted patient/guarantor interviews, explain hospital policies, patient financial responsibilities and patient’s bill of rights. Facilitated the patient admission flow by collecting all demographic information. Responsible for the verification and authorization of  insurance benefits on all incoming ER patients. Submitted notice of admission to payers as needed. Collected co-payments, and other patient liabilities. Entered the financial and admissions data into the hospital information computer systems. 
I got along well with my co-workers and managers. At times the position was very fast paced which made the day go by quickly.

I am hesitant to deliver my honest opinion about the working environment in our particular office. As you can imagine based on the stars I have rated, both the hospital itself and the Hospitalist group in general were in dire need of repair. In the time I was working in this particular office, more than 30 physicians were hired and left either voluntarily or due to the toxic environment. The hours were extremely high, the pay was low and the treatment of Directors towards Dr's was less than desirable.

Great place to work and expand your knowledge in the CST field. Wonderful people to work with who take the time to help each other and work together. Love my manager because she is fair, understanding and always encourages personal and career growth. I work with an amazing group of knowledgeable, fun, and patient group of people. Even though working in healthcare can be incredibly stressful at times I truly enjoy going to work and working with the people I work with.

Always opportunities for learning and growing in my present position Very busy days seeing patients, handling phone calls, responding to complaints and grievances, educating staff in Service excellence at the bedside, facilitating doctor patient communication. Hardest part of the job is the work load (it's huge) and the most enjoyable part is helping patients and being their advocate.

the staff was cut to the bone here, way too much work for each cook to do, the management company doesn't seem to care about this account and sends people that are incompetent at best to lead, often ending with disaster. the food is a short step ahead of opening cans, with powdered sauces and frozen vegetables for the patients and not so much better for the cafe. the managers are mean spirited often bullying and threatening to get work completed. over all, it is the worst environment I have ever worked in.

Great place to work if you are looking for a pay check and great benefits.
If you are looking for more and want to make a difference and have your thoughts and ideas considered I might suggest looking elsewhere.  They are also currently going through some management changes, which can always make things a little difficult for employees on the ground floor.   As with any job I had great managers here and not so great ones.  But overall, it is a good place to work and the culture seems to be changing in a positive direction.

Independent position with complex decision making requiring excellent organziational skills. Work with an excellent team of co-workers who are always available and supportive when needed. The hardest part of the job is implementing effective care plans and supports for patients who do not have adequate insurance or family available. The most enjoyable part of this job is the satisfaction of assisting patients and families with their plan of care.

A typical day at work would be to post patient payments to accounts. Adjust patient payment accounts. Cash deposits. Reports. I gained the majority of my experience through the healthcare industry through this employer. I wasn't thrilled with Management there. My co-workers were great. Worked well together. The hardest part of the job were the consistant changes. The most enjoyable part of the job were the hours, people that I worked with. The incentive program was great.

A typical day consisted of answering phones, assigning work orders. In this job I learned customer service, ordering. Management was very understanding and my co-workers where all maintenance workers very nice guys. the hardest part of the job was when we had maintenance workers call out and had to find someone that knew the job for that day. most enjoyable part was working in the maintenance dept,
