What is the best part of working at the company?
1. The camraderie among other managers was great!
2. Corporate would implement new products that would help with doing our jobs. 
3. Both summer and holiday gatherings were fun!
4. My regional managers was very supportive 
5. How organized the company is. 
6. Having an in house Onesite supportive person was extremely helpful. 


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
1. Development & acquisition manager for South Florida made our jobs stressful by micromanaging things that should be left up to regional managers.
2. Constant turnover in accounting.
3. Grand Peaks used to have a family vibe but that was changing for years. It is when they hired someone as VP that a vast majority of the employees at the time didn't like,  when most folks who were in the company for more than 15 years starting leaving. The 'vibe' changed significantly. 


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The people who made Grand Peaks as enjoyable as possible and made it feel like family had left, the culture had changed to you feeling like another number in the company.

I can plan my daily tasks ahead even a week time. Our maintenance team can accomplish their tasks planned of the day in each day. Every one worked in harmony at my property. If there’s any emergency came up, we would have all hands on deck and tackled it until it’s done, our resident is safe, and the property is back on track, don’t matter the time of the day or night. We worked as a family and support each other’s. No one is working alone in an emergency situation. The hardest part of the job is one of our member moved on to a better job, it is sad but yet happy for me because this person had learned more and ready to go on. I am glad that I am a part of that person’s life. I enjoy managing, problem solving and troubleshooting. My reward is someone is happy with my job well done.

I worked for Grand Peaks for over 14 years.  In the time I worked for them I was promoted from Assistant Maintenance to Maintenance Supervisor and I worked at several different properties over the years working for them .  The upper management from corporate on down will treat you like you are family not just an employee.  Grand Peaks has a great work/life balance and at no time will make you feel like you cannot take the time you need off.
If it was not for the fact that I moved out of state where there were no Grand Peaks Properties at that time,  I would most likely still be working for them.         

Very slim staffing for the amount of work they expect- no consideration for the time and energy it takes to prepare leases, deal with constant incoming calls, emails and tours and the crazy amount of issues from residents. Pay is low compared to most other properties. Workload is heavy compared to how much time you actually have in the workday to focus on your tasks due to so many interruptions & they expect too much work for low pay, mediocre benefits and bonus/commission & compensation. 

They will tell you its a great company to work for but the new management in Development and Rehab Accounting will get mad at you if you have questions because she is too busy. Unless she has previously worked with you she will not help you. She does not work with you on Wednesday or Fridays at all as she says that is her days to get caught up. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Getting off work on week ends.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Upper management has no clue what they are doing

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
No team atmosphere .. management no clue what they are doing

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long .. do my job and go home with no leadership input or graditude.

If you're willing to kiss butt to get ahead you might do well. Pay is seriously low compared to other companies for the maintenance team especially considering the amount of work they expect you to do. Very few opportunities for growth. Zero focus from upper management on individual growth and support. You are completely dispensable.

A lot of room for career growth. Regional and Corporate staff are always available to us, should we need help or simply someone to vent to. The industry may be difficult sometimes, however the support from above helps us to overcome challenges and keep a balance between our job and personal life.  Some turnover lately, however this is more a global than an internal issue. 

Great company to work with, everyone was willing to help each other, corporate was readily available, I felt supported by everyone! If the only property in WA had not sold I would have retired with Grand Peaks! 

I felt sad to go when I had to. Regretted the way things worked out and would've stayed if it was an option.  We got thrown into a lot of tasks that we were not trained or ready for but we always got the job done. The people above me were individuals that couldn't have done a better job making even the worse day be the best.
