Grand Strand Health and Wellness could have so much potential to be an enjoyable place to work because it is easy to love the patients. The patients were the best part of working at that job.. The CEO has great visions of expansion and growth and that is great, but in order for company expansion to occur, then they have to be able to keep employees around and they have a very hard time with that. The turnover rate is high and it isn't because people just didn't want to work. There has to be a MUTUAL dignity and respect between both manager level and staff and if that isn't there, then employees leave. There is no work/life balance and overtime is expected of most employees so keep that in mind if you have children at home. If you love overtime, then you may love that part of the job. The "CULT"ure is strong and uncomfortable at times. Sometimes, they had company games and that was fun!

What is the best part of working at the company?
The patients and my co workers. The structure of the overall process of treating patients gave propose to what we trying to achieve. Overall patient satisfaction and patient results were our number one goal

Volume of patients and the workload that resulted

Fantastic. Office is beautiful and the staff were great

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typical day was usually very busy but when you see the results that patients were attaining it made it all worthwhile

Doing a group interview and being the only one selected was a feat in itself. Rigorous hiring process because the BEST of the best is expected for our patients. I get in house training for other tasks, along with staff enhancements to build me up professionally and personally. Tough, but fair. Never had an employer tell me they appreciated me and/or my talents. I love the fact I get to use my education to do what I love which is taking care of people and helping them achieve a better quality of life naturally.

The toxicity and the long hours

I found the work environment was toxic and the culture was good - they mean good just not run the way I expected 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy all day only having a minute to breathe while on lunch

Very fun, uplifting atmosphere which our patients feed off. With that same energy, so does the staff. Everyone works together and are willing to chip in. The management team is always willing to hear your concerns and desire your input to make yours and the patients' experience better. The company helps you develop professionally and personally. I enjoy coming here everyday to SERVE and to live in my purpose of 'changing lives'!

Grand Strand Health and Wellness has been one of the best places that I've worked.  I feel a sense of belonging at this company.  The vision of the CEO is extremely inspiring.

High turnover rate for this company for a reason. Front desk with an extremely large work load. Very little/no work life balance. Goals set far to high for the amount of patients they’re seeing.
