This job was challenging in the fact that there was so much paperwork and duties, in which I was responsible.  None of this was difficult, just overwhelming.  I was working in the OR at the hospital and the eye surgeon found out my background and hired me on the spot.  This is the reason I left the hospital.  He made A LOT of empty promises.  But working in the ER, was a challenge, just a lot to keep up with on a daily basis.  I was responsible for all scheduling of OR patients for 7 rooms, scheduling all pre-op appointments in coordination with the pre-op nurse, writing up all charge sheets and entering them into the computer, get them to financial services by the next morning and calculating all statistics at the end of the month.  The manager was a great manager, but she was overwhelmed too.  I feel a lot of the time, her extra work was put off on me. I enjoyed meeting so many people and talking/comforting patients going into surgery.

Overall Granville is highly stressful. I worked 12 hour shifts on the weekends, never any help. The phlebotomist is by themselves and expected to collect blood in the ER and on the floors. The ER is super busy which is understandable with Covid going on. The workload is excessive for one person. The pay could be better, it's not the worst but it does not reflect how hard the team works either. Granville has many great employees in the laboratory but many have left, or are leaving for better pay, advancement opportunities, etc. Granville has the potential to be a great hospital if they treated their staff better. They wouldn't keep losing great people if they just listened and took employees frustrations and concerns more seriously. They do not value staff's input on certain things, that staff would know more about because we actually work with patients and equipment more than management.

Brantwood nursing facility management staff administrator is very rude and a compulsive liar she is not compassionate towards her workers does not care if you are sick or not death in the family well! She plays the good guy in front of hospital hr and tries to make you seem like a liar and she does the same for the residents. Your work load is very heavy from short staff and seems same people has the dot and stays over. Being she has little to no respect for her staff the other staff members feel it is ok to belittle or be rude to the cna staff as well. No one has privacy whatever you discuss in the office the entire building knows overall this place is very stressful and needs new management as soon as possible or will crash and burn! There is alot of confusing and fighting among staff because of the things administration put in the ears of other co workers. They rule by intimidation and black mail this is a horrible environment to work in

At Granville Primary Care, working with providers was great but the overall work environment was not ethically pleasing. The unsurmountable amount of gossip and unprofessionalism was really too much. The job itself entails of duties that require good multitasking skills. Workplace PTSD is real, and it affects employees and sadly, managers and directors don’t have the resources to really help staff as they need it. Joining the team was great but after some years, it became a real toll on my mental health. The opportunity was great but Granville really needs growth and to work on building appropriate workplace culture. Pay also could have been better but sadly, raises are little to none. It’s disappointing if you’re looking for career advancement as well as pay advancement.

Poor management and almost never having the resources you need also low pay for the task you have to do sometimes I did for or more positions a day due to lack of staff because of the poor management

Poor the employees think they are boss call out too much and management shows favoritism

Stressful dealing with the poor team work lack of supplies and a director who is unexperenced and very unpetfectional

Management was always playing favorites! In order to get ahead with this company / management, you need to consistently stroke egos and gossip about co-workers. Back Stabbers tend to get promoted faster here than any company I have ever seen. Don't do your job but kiss up to management and you will get promotions and raises. The culture is so backwards here! Good people scream through the place at an alarming rate, management doesn't care either. They want yes men more than educated well trained staff.  I knew a manager that refused to give staff time off for a sick child or family emergencies, but insisted they get a MONTH off for their own birthday.  Avoid !!

The hospital use to be a great place to work and the focus was on the patients.  After the current CEO came on board many things changed and many cuts were made leaving every area of the hospital understaffed.  The increase in workload and numerous staff cuts have left most everyone tired and paranoid.  The change in atmosphere is even noticeable to patients, as I had more than one to tell me.  The sense of teamwork and comradery that used to be such a great part of this small town hospital is now gone.  Radiology manager is not honest and has poor judgement.  Also, has been known to yell at fellow employees.

you may get sick but to make your employee come to work and they are sick is just unacceptable. You would not want sick hospital staff taking care of you  would you?   Work life balance is ok I guess , management don't care.  Only thing they care about is the body count for staff.  The staff is overworked highly so that creates tension and the attitudes apreads. It's some RN's that think they are hot stuff  . They believe they are better than the CNAs .as they say they don't wipe booties nomore. Teamwork depends on who you working with that shift    . Some shifts are terrible. Other than some staff it's great meeting the PT's.

It's a cute little hospital and everyone is nice. The biggest issue here is that the pay is low for all jobs and we are short all the time. Management won't hire a tech because the pay is too low so we are expected to pick up the slack, not with overtime but with being on-call often. There is no point where we are desperate enough to give anyone the money they deserve just so we aren't short anymore. They will nickel and dime everything. There needs to be a pay overhaul. The management have a kind of cold attitude when it comes to the employees being tired.

The morning started early around 9:30, going from room to room completing therapy with patients. Some received 70 minutes and some received 30 minutes of therapy. I learned to take my time with elders, how to use the sliding and how to do a proper assessment on a patient. The co-workers were the best and they all individually made the day better and run more smoothly. The hardest part of the job was convincing a grumpy patient to do therapy but the most enjoyable part was when we got therapy going they became some of the sweetest people I've met.
