OK, so I’ll start with the good most of the leads are in-house and they are actually ready to speak with you about the product 

Now the bad so commission constantly changes and the hours that they tell you on your offer letter are incorrect. If you don’t show up 10 minutes before your shift, they will gaslight you and tell you that you need to  Adjust your morning leaving no room for accidents etc “if you aren’t in by 8:50 you wasted your drive get out of my office” this was said in the company channel on slack maybe during the whole hiring process, they should be clear about commission structures and what time they really want people in since it’s salary based coming in 10 minutes early is not a big deal but that’s 50 minutes a week I can’t even imagine how bad it is for the people who make a long drive in 

You will also be told that it’s all inbound, but they will make you do outbound in the beginning and if you’re under performing do outbound as well, which is pretty normal but in the interview, they make it seem like you will never be doing an outbound


Another bad thing is they have a side door, which is right by the parking lot, which is apparently for managers only which doesn’t make any sense it’s also conveniently by the smoking area and then there’s a bathroom inside that’s for managers only the other bathrooms on the whole other side of the building it’s almost as if they want you to choose what to do on your break



Working as a Life Insurance Agent at Guide to Insure has been a really positive experience. The schedule is one of the biggest perks—7:00 AM to 3:30 PM—which allows for a great work-life balance and guarantees weekends off. A typical day involves handling inbound calls, speaking with clients, and helping them understand their insurance options. The environment is supportive, with managers who are approachable and genuinely invested in your success. The training is personalized, making it easier to build confidence and improve over time.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the culture and getting to talk with people throughout the day—it keeps things engaging and rewarding. The most challenging aspect is meeting weekly goals, which aren’t overly difficult but can take some effort when you're just getting started.

I had high hopes when I chose GuideToInsure for my life insurance, but unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. First, the customer service was abysmal. I was put on hold for hours, and when I finally spoke with someone, they were unhelpful and seemed untrained in answering basic questions about my policy.

Second, the claims process was a nightmare. After my claim was submitted, I received no updates for weeks. When I finally reached out, I was given vague answers and told that my claim was being "processed," without any clear explanation of what that meant. It felt like they were dragging their feet on purpose.

Additionally, the premiums were significantly higher than I was initially quoted, and I was never informed about any changes. The lack of transparency is concerning, and I feel like I was misled.

I would not recommend GuideToInsure to anyone based on my experience. There are far better options out there that treat their customers with respect and provide clear, reliable service.

A typical day in a life insurance career is dynamic and people-focused. I spend most of my time talking with clients, learning about their needs, and helping them find the right protection for their families. This role has taught me valuable skills in communication, financial planning, and relationship building.

Management is ALWAYS supportive and encourages professional development, providing training and guidance when needed. The workplace culture promotes teamwork, integrity, and continuous learning, which makes the environment motivating and positive.

The hardest part of the job is handling rejection or navigating emotionally sensitive conversations, but those challenges also help build resilience. The most enjoyable part is knowing that the work truly makes a difference in people’s lives—helping clients gain peace of mind and protecting their loved ones for the future.

They pay for your training and insurance license. They also help train you and give you a system. That makes sense. A typical day is six hours on the phone with 2 15 minute breaks and a 45 minute lunch they have a bunch of awesome tools, including AI and a populating script, which helped with the ease of the process in the sales call. Culture is good With music always blasting and vibes are usually high. Management is more experienced agents and they do help you with training along the way if you do struggle.

This position has been wonderful, I've been here since September and have been given the training and resources to be as successful as possible. The management are phenomenal and are actually here to help instead of push people into a quota. The most difficult part of the job is just being used to phone sales, not every day is going to be a good day and being able to let the last call go so it doesn't carry into your next is a critical skill. The most enjoyable part of this, other than the commission, is actually helping families. This is a product that protects families from financial distress when they're already grieving, I feel good about what we're selling and feel I am actually helping people at the end of the day. 

I have worked call centers before. The classroom training not sufficient. The management has a meeting every morning. The meeting is needed because the tech is lacking. There was no online chat with management, no leader board with the statistics. 
The headsets are old this place is so loud I could barely hear the callers! I didn’t even last a month! The  other call centers I worked at insisted on an hour lunch. Here they give you a half hour lunch half hour break time. I do not feel that is sufficient. I was hitting the production benchmark but the job was horrible. They only put out coffee until 11, the break room barely had room to sit,  the building maintenance was lacking the bathroom was dirty.
