Don't bother to have a life if you work for HCA.or HCA Shared Services.. 
They take advantage of your good nature and work ethic to a good job. They work you til you drop and til you cant give anymore.  They dont do anything unless it benefits management. Forget if you need time off for an appointment. You will be told NO, there isnt anyone to cover you. They tell you your request is just a request.so forget work life balance. If you are lucky to get the time off you need, you are made to feel SO guilty by other staff members that feel they are picking up your slack because they have to work harder. Coworkers dont care about each other either, cut throat to throw you under the bus, this used to be such a FUN place to work but no one has the time to even say hello anymore. If you are saying hello to another your manager asks you why aren't you working.  You are told 
 you have to speed up, or you are going too slow, especially the new hires who are trying to do a good job. Always under scrutiny to be accurate and perfect.Management constantly reminds workers the department is fully staffed but yet everyone is working their fingers to the bone, tired often coming in sick and working. Made to feel guilty if you call in sick,you don't get a regular 15 min break only your 1/2 hr lunch while every other department takes their lunch and BREAK.. You get spoken to like you are a child in a condescending tone, When you bring up an issue like staffing , you will be told "maybe you just cant do this job anymore" basically saying "there"s the DOOR" You will leave stressed out and sometimes so upset you do not want to come back. I have worked for them 20 plus years.  I actually had to pump myself up with a pep talk before I started my shift. They want you to bend over backwards for their staffing issues but God forbid they come to your department to pitch in and lend a hand when its off the charts busy. Management thinks they are ABOVE coming in to work a menial shift. They FORGET where they came from once they have moved up and have been promoted. You are expected to "PLAY THEIR GAME" become one of their compliant robots. Oh and don't even try to contact your boss on a weekend they NEVER answer their phone. They wont let you try and better yourself, Management keeps you where THEY want you to work. They do whatever is GOOD for them to make their lucrative bonuses. What staff receives, which YOU BUST YOUR TAIL FOR  will get you some groceries and gas. Management seriously needs to be overhauled they have no clue how to manage, no communication between them, they turn situations around to benefit the bottom line. They DON'T value their tenured employees with seniority either who have given their lives to their career. I have seen them all go one by one. If they can find the slightest opening to get rid of you, they will .. DO NOT TRUST THE SMILING FACES. They simply DO NOT CARE.

I applied to work third shift,but was told that I had to train for two weeks during the day. The first two days I was placed with a long term employee who was completely stressed out and had bruises all over her face from her boyfriend beating her and she was angry that she had to work on a different floor so was in a bad mood all day and very rude.  Very sad and stressful to be around her,but I worked hard and tried to enjoy the job. The next two days I was placed with a younger girl who told me her sad life story of her father walking out and wanting nothing to do with her and that he showed favoritism toward her brother always, her mother was constantly gone and her new husband divorced her after three months and she didn’t even have her GED, yet they made her a trainer. I felt sad and uncomfortable hearing all of that,but worked very hard and was told by everyone that I was doing a good job. Everyone had lunch together in the lunchroom but I had bills to pay so had nothing to take so just went to my car. Apparently the second trainer was offended that I didn’t have lunch with her. The next morning I was called into the office due to the second trainer, along with the supervisor and questioned about the first trainer wearing gloves and no, she rarely does. The next day I was called in the office again because the second trainer told them that in her opinion I wouldn’t be able to handle the blood in the E.R.That is something that came out of her imagination,as I never expressed that to her. I had no problem with that. The next day the girl had the biggest smile and said that she was so happy. A minute later the Housekeeping mgr who had just come back from his vacation called me into the office. He told me that he was upset that he passed me in a hall a week before and I didnt say hi to him. I’d only seen him once and didn’t remember that. He said that he’d just had a complaint from the second trainer regarding my demeanor and he basically put me on notice for absolutely nothing. I told him that the girl had had me called in the office three times in three days for absolutely nothing. I was never asked a question, never given an explanation, never had a conversation, never given the opportunity to talk to anyone or any chance to go to H.R. to try to sort out the imaginary issue. The very next day as soon as I got to work he told me that I was fired. No reason. I have worked at my current job in customer service for over six years with no complaint,ever.I needed a second job and have so much experience that it should have been perfect for me. The girl that seems to be running the place and manipulating,undermining and backstabbing people is planning to work in H. R. She said that if she can earn her GED she’s going to school for that ASAP. Great, huh-? Now you see what the management is made of.

They will praise you if you do a good job then jump all over you if you mess up once. Most of the workers that have been there for a while will take their time doing a job instead of getting it done and try to help with other things like I did. I guess that was the smart thing to do because they got away with it. If I took it easy one day and didn't do multiple jobs in a day like I have from the beginning, I got in trouble. Meanwhile, other employees took their time and stretched their one job out until the end of the work day so they didn't have to do other jobs and that was okay because if I worked then the management had me pick up slack and do multiple jobs or help others finish their jobs. Also, on top of being worked like that, they would ask if I wanted overtime. I didn't pick up the overtime because I was so worked into the ground but some of the others would come in on their day off because they had easy nights work thanks to me. For that, they would get acknowledgment for coming in on a day off and their name up on a board for "going above and beyond". I never got these awards one night they even have everyone on my shift one of these awards EXCEPT me, even though I went "above and beyond" on my normal day off and did multiple jobs or helped others on my normal shift. The supervisors always complained to me that the others didn't do a good job and always wanted me to go help or redo what the others have already done to make sure it was done correctly. They are always short workers and wonder why they can't get people in there to work. I would sum it all up to poor management. I've even went to HR about it and they just side with the managers. If you're going to take the job, my best suggestion would be do as little as possible from the beginning so you don't get worked like a horse to pick up others slack later and so you don't get in trouble. That way you will get better praise later when you surprise them on the extra work you do when you want to. 

HCA, the parent company for RMCBP, is the most money driven organisation I have worked for in 25 years of nursing. Case management's motto and catch-phrase is "Get 'em outta here." They are extremely aggressive in discharging patients whether they are ready or not. They are also aggressive about admitting patients whether staff are ready or not. An empty bed must be filled. I'd routinely start with 6 patients on day shift and end with 6 patients, but they were DIFFERENT patients, and it's not because they were short on staff. That was their staffing grid. 

They kept hounding us to take a lunch break,  so they didn't get in trouble, but we were so busy that no one could cover each other's rooms. If you did take a break, your patients were not being watched, and you'd come back with all of their call lights on, sometimes for urgent needs, and you were half an hour behind on everything. I finally just started clocking out for half an hour and kept working, just to get them off my back. 

Everything is about being cheap. Not just frugal: CHEAP. They use the cheapest garbage EMR, MEDITECH, and their supplies would frequently change to items of lower quality, showing that they would go with the lowest price even if it was trash. 

When I was interviewed they asked, "Can you love our patients?" Of course I did, but THEY don't love their patients or their staff. This is fairly common knowledge, because when I was interviewing for my next job and they asked, "Why did you leave?" all I had to say was "HCA" and they would say, "Ahh." I will never work at an HCA hospital again. 

I've worked here for 5 years. It's progressively gotten worse. Management doesn't care as long as it doesn't directly effect them- and when they care, they tend just to make things worse by micromanaging our team. They do not respect your time off and will constantly ask you to come in on your days off/stay for overtime. Compensation for the job requirement and responsibilities are not on the same page- they will underpay anyone they can get away with doing so. 

Oh and they have no problem running their direct care staff into the dirt with inadequate staffing and compensation. Management does not care as long as their numbers are met. 

I saw an average of 25 to 30 patients a day.It's one on one patient care.Good equipment to work with.Management easy to work with.
Little to no complaining by the staff about anything.Just joking and having a good time.
The work wasn't easy and I stayed busy most of the hours I was there,but the staff was awesome.I can say it was probably one of the most enjoyable jobs I ever had the privilege of doing.
The hardest part of this job was the first few weeks it took to learn my way around,and the computer program.
The staff could be a model for any respiratory department.They were mature,hard working,dependable,knowledgeable,efficient,and fun to work with.

i was very decitated to my job of pharmacy tech for 14 years,,was suspened for 2 days and returned to work and workded 38 days in a row,no lunch,no breaks..new director comes and and accused me of things that was not true,,he would never believe any things i said and would not stand behind me..all the other co worker i thought were friends were not...my problem is if i cannot work at the same hospitital bayonet point,,why do you black ball me from any other job at bayonet point,,which i loved,,or any other hca...i cannot find a job,,please help...if you have a problem,,all parties should attend and please tell the person what they are accused of instead of saying what  happen,,i sure there was much more to the story than what was told by the accuser..

At first they offer you the moon and the stars, is NOT true, the job is not that bad, but, the leaders, and managers are horrible, they treat their employees  really bad, they scream at you in front of the nurses and patients, and in front of your coworkers, they claim to have team work, thats not true, they always short staff for the same reason people come and go beacuse of the treatment, HCA is good but their leaders and manager in this hospital in EVS department are bad people, horrible people and don’t recommend at all, they are not organize and if they don't like you, they give you the worst area or task to do, there is a lot of favoritism between bosses and employees, honestly is not worth it and the pay is so little for the huge work, I don’t recommend it at all!!!

Worked here for 18 months as an RN and over the course of 18 months saw CNA's be taken away. Monitor techs were put in a central location taking away the unit secretary role. And RNs were required to handle everything without more pay. Not a safe environment for staff or patients. Then when I left, it took over a month for my position to terminate and get my PTO payout. Human Resources is never available on the phone. Employees who call in all the time or who don't keep up their nursing credentials are continuously warned and written up without consequences. Employees who perform are expected to work harder and longer and more often and get no reward for it.  Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Its a horrible horrible place to work it’s not leader ship or management It’s the culture of the rest of the department. First off our director all he does is sit in his office and bark orders you’ll never see him on the floors he actually does not care about your well-being there or your own personal life. All of the coworkers are very negative very down and not motivated to do the best they can ! When I worked there only a select few on first shift that actually put in work and one team lead that just went above and beyond to help you in anyway to make your job enjoyable because she knew how stressful the job is. The pay wasn’t bad, the hours were good workload crazy.
