Capital Regional as a facility is a great place to work at, especially if seeking career in the healthcare dept, but the registration dept is the absolute WORST JOB YOU COULD EVER HAVE.

The management is HORRIBLE!!! They do not care about their employees at all! The supervisor/manager/director do not care to talk to you or help you improve as an employee. 

Your job is solely based on whether or not patients pay their copayments/deductibles NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU!
Your job will CONSTANTLY BE THREATENED. During the interview process they fail to say anything about a goal but once at the facilty it is a "requirement" that they come up with which is IMPOSSIBLE to acquire (especially if you are seeking to work overnight or in the pediatric dept)

You CONSTANTLY get written up for things that are out of your control. 

YOUR VOICE WILL NOT BE HEARD! Even if you choose to go an alternative route and call HR or the PAS (Parallon is the company we work for) themselves, they ignore what you have to say. The managerial staff that has been at this facility have been here for years so their words are what hold morality. 

The turnover is FREQUENT. DO NOT work here simply because it will put you in a bad scenario. They claim it to be stress free but in all actuality it is NOT!

Use to be good place to work. The management does not care about the employees, although the CEO will keep telling you that your voice matters. Cutting hours and slashing pay is common , and with being over worked because of low staff due to corporate only worried about the numbers, people have left...
 As a former employee in the Ultrasound Dept, all the techs are miserable , waiting for a job to pop up so they can get out. The ultrasound supervisor is a boss and not a leader. Has no patience and does not want to take the time to work with an employee.
 The ultrasound supervisor is a workplace bully and also will lie when the opportunity arises and will be 100 percent backed by the dept director, Mainly you are ridiculed, yelled at and treated badly. The Radiology director is worthless. If you have an issue, don't bother. He does not want to get involved and if he does , it will be of no benefit to you and only to the supervisor of that department.  New management is needed there badly. If the sorry management were replaced, maybe people would stay and  they would not need the big sign out on the billboards offering sign on incentives.....Just keep driving by.........

In my 30+ professional years in the lab I have never come across such a group of hi quality professionals, from the Lab Director (Brandi), ER director, Gerry, Allison, 6 physcians, 5 RN practitioners and 4 physician assistants, they made my point of care station a never ending hi speed merry-go-round. Exhausting? yes! Satisfying? YES!  But they are conscious of the lab personnel crisis in the state and they are amazing team workers, providers and facilitators. I never imagined I could produce so much work and I finally did with such a cooperative team. They do all necessary to make sure my station runs as smooth as possible and keep high standards of ethics and professional relations at all times. They Vice-President offered me twice to stay as a regular employee, something I really cry for not being able to stay. Family was reluctant to move. Believe me, when you or a loved one needs healthcare, this is the place you want to be. They're tice.best sample I've seen of hi standards and commitment in ER.

They told us when we started what our nurse to patient ratio was when I started and I could probably count on one hand the number of times it was actually accurate. The management does not care and continues to push for more, better, faster results while never fixing the root of the problem which is the staffing. On days when we had appropriate staffing they would actually send nurses home. They don't care when more experienced nurses leave because they can just replace them with new grads. It all trickles down from the top and it always felt like the administration really didn't care about anything besides money. I also at one point was one of the preceptors for the floor and always had new grads training with me and found out that they were making more than I was, even though I was told regularly that I was one of the best nurses on the floor and they would supposedly do anything to keep me. Honestly I could go on and on about all of the reasons I would never work for this hospital again.

•	Managed 7  & Co-Managed 54 staff in a busy 60 bed ER Dept. 
•	Provided feedback on daily registration processes and staffing issues to the Patient Access Supervisor and Director.
•	Developed new methods to reduce data discrepancies and improved staff efficiency.
•	Ensured staff compliance with department policies and procedures, according to OSHA, AHCA, and HIPPA standards.
•	Assisted supervisor with staffing, report reconciliation, Quality Assurance process, and other duties as assigned.  
•	Assumed On-call responsibilities to ensure adequate staffing and problem solving.
•	Worked closely and professionally with nursing, doctoral, & ancillary departments to maintain a teamwork approach.
•	Involved in the hiring, transfer, promotion, grievance resolution, or discharge of subordinate personnel.
•	Collected and compiled data to create reports for daily analysis, of patient information and staff performance.
•	Attended staff meetings and summarizes and conveys keys points to junior staff.

I wouldn't mind being a clinical staff person here, there are some frustrating things like a lack of equipment, rude physicians and incompetent co-workers, but it's not the most difficult nursing/CNA job in the world. Also, thanks to wishy-washy administration, staff are more or less allowed to run wild so there's very little chance of being fired. However, for anyone in an "office job" this place can be a heck on earth. A typical day includes hostile and useless co-workers, insultingly low salaries, being expected to work tons of extra hours for free and perform miracles without any support, resources or praise. The most enjoyable part of the job are the times when you get to interact with patients. The worst part of my day was pretty much every other minute that I wasn't with a patient or in the bathroom.

Lack of patient safety when it comes to nurse/patient ratio. Ratio stated 4:1 which is typical for ER but almost every shift they want to push you to have 5,6,7 even 8 pts. With a mix of acuity but they don’t take into consideration the needs of the patients or the critical patients you already have. Lack of support staff. Lack of staff period. Most days you won’t get any help, so don’t bother asking. No lunch most days. But watch your pay check, they’ll deduct for it anyway. Most staff is unfriendly and can be flat out rude. Never once felt appreciated. Management can’t even take the time to say hello to you. They’re all about numbers. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this emergency room. With all the other nursing jobs out there, it’s not worth the stress (mentality and physically)

You truly have a calling to help people in a very stressful time in their lives to be successful in this field. The patient and their families should always be your focus. This can be difficult at times when dealing with an occasionally unprofessional staff. 

There seems to be a lot of clicks and unprofessionalism among the nurses. I don't trust that they always have my back and some can be outright rude. Management isn't present a lot because of meetings, etc. and the bosses seem so bogged down with paperwork and reporting that they are rarely on the floor. At times this results in too many nurses thinking they are in charge or taking liberties with taking breaks when there are several patients waiting to be helped.

I felt I was working often in unsafe conditions and that the expectations for the unit were unobtainable due to high patient ratios.  I had administrative duties along with having anywhere from 7 - 12 patients at one time.  Rules often changed daily and were not enforced adequately by management.  Although this was a part of a larger corporation, educators and administrators from the corporate offices had to always take into account that our facility was the only one who had such high patient ratios when rolling out new workplace initiatives.  

The overall management team had favorites as to who would be promoted.  A "good ol' girls club" and lots of family member advancement.

This company has a known reputation for being a revolving door for new graduates and less experienced medical professionals. The radiology department (and I'm sure other departments in the hospital) will burn you out within the first few months of hire. Ultrasound and radiology specifically have an extremely high turn around rate due to the poor lead tech/manager. If you like doing 16-20+ patients in a 12 hour shift and urged to give mediocre patient care all while watching your managers sit around doing nothing, this may be the job for you. If you actually care about your patients and want to be able to sleep at night, run away fast. It also doesn't hurt to mention the pay is one of the lowest in florida.
