What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part about the company is that if you make a complaint to HR the director will go directly to the individual the complaint is about. Then they retaliate to try and save their own jobs. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is extremely toxic and unethical to say the least.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A regular day in the company consists of chat/text agents as well as supervisors doing all of the work while the rest of the company does nothing, but bark orders and become very retaliatory when you express unfair treatment.

HeartLine is a nonprofit that works in crisis services. The agency has seen major growth recently bringing a lot of job opportunities and ways to advance. The work can be challenging as it is based in crisis response for health and human services as well as suicide prevention. It is also very rewarding to be able to provide these services to those in need and see the positive impact we can have on others. HeartLine has built in layers of support from supervisors to upper management as well as employee assistance programs, and designated staff to help process difficult interactions with chatters or callers.

You get really close to your coworkers since the managers aren’t around most of the time

Management doesn’t have any idea what they’re doing.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unhealthy. Everyone is thrown under the bus with little to no training.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Watching Netflix or talking to each other, then working for maybe 2 hours out of the day. Then being expected to excel without practice or training.

What is the best part of working at the company?
My direct manager was a gem to work with! Absolutely disliked leaving the job, but moved back home & sadly, can’t remote in from another state.

When upper management didn’t communicate with our team, or they communicated with the wrong person who didn’t know the correct answers or policies.

Pretty chill. For the most part everyone got along.

Super busy. Every day was different & nothing was typical.

Interacting with callers who needed help, support and empathy, then being able to make a difference in any way.

No REAL support from higher ups, no matter how much they always wanted to say they’re there for you, they aren’t!! High turnover rate so any new hires for help were always leaving, making it so difficult and stressful with double or triple the workload.

Word days are often stressful, but they give you the tools to manage the stress. You are surrounded by a supportive team who wants you to succeed. You will look forward to going to work each day.

Helping the community is always great. This company picks up a lot of agreements with non-profits and does not re-compensate it's employees professionally. I was there very shortly, however, most employees said they hadn't had a raise in over 5 years.

HeartLine is an amazing company to work with a clear and concise purpose to help those in need. The work environment is very inclusive and they're backed by a supportive leadership team.

           I loved working at Heartline!  At the end of the day you know you’ve done a good thing.  You have to be a bit tough emotionally though.  I enjoyed talking with all of our callers and helping them out as much as possible.
