Administration positions continuously terminated and no one hired to replace, responsibilities delegated to others. Administration positions are also full of nepotism. Several husband and wife duos that keep climbing the ladder while removing others from the “ladder”. Unattainable goals are set to be able to receive a bonus, haven’t seen one in 5+ years. Management is always off loading their extra work onto their “team” without additional resources, compensation, or time. Management also makes their position as plush as possible by arranging their schedules and hours for extra days off and to always have 3 day weekends and never working holidays. Ridiculous point system for attendance. No sick days. FMLA and any disability time off requires jumping through hoops. Health coverage is terrible. You’d think a company providing health care services would have better coverage options for their employees. Raises are not a thing. You cannot get a raise based on performance or ability. They only do market rate adjustments 1-2 a year (unless HR is busy than they’ll keep making excuses) and they have to be significant to even make the adjustment. New employees are hired in at higher starting pay than staff that have been there for 10+ years with more experience whom then are expected to train these people with no compensation for training. Chronically understaffed. Keep expanding and building but refuses to hire more staff even though we beg for help for months and statistics support our request. 

-Attendance policy is ridiculous. Three points if you call in less than 12 hours before shift, 2 points 12 hours before and 1 point 24 hrs before. Who knows they will be sick or have an emergency 24 hours before? 
-More importantly, the “love promise” they heavily promote during orientation is a joke. Their reporting system is punitive. Most hospitals have a system to report errors, concerns, etc and use it to change policy or educate staff. This saves lives and promotes a safe working environment. Rather than using the system for its intended purpose to promote change, hospital writes staff up, making it an ineffective tattling tool. A culture like that only makes employees apprehensive to report issues, which will only lead to error and no change. I never had this particular issue personally, but it was disheartening to witness. 
-Also, in orientation, they talk about all the money they have and plans to build more facilities. When you get to the floor, you are told to limit usage of supplies such as wipes. They use meditech, an archaic charting system, and Baxter pumps. Investment in appropriate technology in their current aging hospital would also prevent errors and improve the experience for the patients and staff, but no, let’s build more!


You hit the ground running, you don't get two 15 minute breaks and sometimes you don't get lunch. 
It's all about the numbers. 
The culture can be stressful. Management...I have nothing to say. Hardest part of the job is that they don't hire enough people. We are always running behind. The whole day is stressful and nobody cares. Every office should have several triage nurses to answer all the phone calls like other hospitals do. Without that you can not give good service to your patients... not enough people to triage calls.. unable to complete all tasks that patients need. 
The most enjoyable part is the patients. You get to know them very well and the become like family of your nurse with empathy.

During our seasonal fall and winter months, the work environment is typically fast paced and very busy. Time management and multi-tasking was played a large role in this field. Management had some difficult areas, but have been slowly worked out through the last few months. The physical demands of my position was the hardest part of the job. Even though, this was difficult, it was still very much enjoyable everyday. There were always new challenges and tasks to be done, learned, retaught. Slow season months (late winter, spring and early summer) make it difficult to receive full work hours.

Day starts out usually staining slides to get to pathologist. Checking Surgery rooms for pick up specimens. Acessesion for setting up how many blocks needed for specimen. Co-workers, we get along and let each other what is going on from step to step. 
Would like to cut and embed more, instead of always picking up specimens and cleaning. Which I don"t mind. Get bored easy need to keep busy. Actually seeing the specimens that come in to be process    and what comes from inside our body.

They are more focused on scores and numbers than taking care of patients 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Micro managed over every little flaw but never recognized for what you do right. Only staff that constantly work overtime get any recognition.

Nonstop with no breaks. I never get offered lunch breaks

This hospital and the women's center are the best places I have ever worked and I have been working in the hospital setting my entire 32 year career.  I have worked for several major Indianapolis and surrounding area hospitals.   The atmosphere, the coworkers, the support from leadership, the patients, all of it.... the best!   I have never submitted a review on here but I wanted to let others know that this is a great place to work for any mammography technologists looking for a better fit. 

The office culture allowed seasoned employees to override management, creating an environment where new hires were not supported. When I stood up for myself on day two, instead of addressing the behavior, I was asked to go home — a pattern that seemed to reward inappropriate conduct from long‑term staff while discouraging accountability. This experience reinforced the importance of working in a setting where leadership leads, expectations are consistent, and all employees are treated with fairness and respect.

Very toxic culture. Management changes regularly and still the same culture. The patient is never put first by management. Everyone has personal agendas. And when Doctors or staff stand up against management, it then turns into a witch hunt. The good ones are pushed out. It is a never-ending cycle. They bring in new people/ new grads, and the cycle starts all over again. It is a very nice and esthetically pleasing place if you can put your head in the sand.

The patient  and family they need some to talk to and it was good to be there for them 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They are always short in staffing and you had more to do!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic  ! Everyone is stressed from being over worked !

Very busy , trying to get very thing done !
