I have really enjoyed the company culture/friendliness, the generous benefits offered, and the management style. They are open to new ideas, keen on improving processes, and they provide check-ins throughout the onboarding process to make sure everything is going smoothly for the new worker as well as the team. I enjoy the weekly department meetings (done remotely) to maintain human contact with the outside world ;) and to develop a rapport with the team despite social distancing barriers.

I personally have not had to work much overtime, but I know there is consistent overtime work for some team members. I feel like such a pace/workload, for a long duration, will lead to dissatisfaction and possibly burnout for those employees. It would probably benefit the team to have another worker to absorb such overflow, especially to handle the extra work load when someone is out sick or on vacation.

I appreciate that my position—and seemingly most positions at Hanna—come with room for advancement within the company. Across the departments, the team seems agile and eager to grow; a good company to be part of!

The company is growing fast, and it is clear that the leadership is committed to ensuring that everyone at the company has what they need to succeed. The company has introduced new roles that are filled by both new hires and internal promotions so the leadership team is balanced. It is clear they are working hard to make things more streamlined and improve processes that help us grow together. 

One unique thing compared to my previous employers is how committed our leadership is to celebrating and making this a fun place to work. There are always fun things happening, like awards, snacks, team lunches, group outings, and special activities. There are also opportunities for training and developing new professional skills. 

If you are considering working here as an employee at the corporate office, you'll have a great experience. 

Many of the negative complaints you'll see are from interpreters (contractors and not employees).  This is still a great company to work with as an interpreter, but please keep in mind that you are an independent contractor, and assignment availability is based on need. Each person must do what's best for their own life when it comes to the type of work they do. 

When I say bilingual, I literally mean bilingual not just Spanish speakers, if you fluently speak a second language this is a great job. You get emails about non-english speaker client appointments & you just accept the assignment or decline. You're an independent contractor or self-employed. Hanna Interpreting Services just lets you know of work that is available.

You travel to the site location, check-in with office personnel, and interpret for the client. You work with clients who are disabled or challenges in their lives and it changes the perspective of things. You learn not everything you see and hear about people are true.

The hardest part about the job is when they send you out to location a that is 45 miles away. You have to make sure you make it to your appointment on time to be there for your client.

Most of the people at Hanna are great people. Just trying to make it through the day. Very supportive of each other. Then you get to the management. Slow to reply to your concerns and expect you to make miracles happen at the drop of a hat. If you try to point out things that have issues or try to offer changes for the way things are being done, don't expect to last long. Some employees that have been there for awhile will help walk you out the door if you get on their bad side. Some of the managers and owners have little to know clue of what happens in the office. They are in their own little world and come down hard on people if unwanted news enters their little bubble.  Keep your numbers with in expectations and cause no waves. 

I absolutely love working with this company. You are able to use your language skills to help clients communicate with doctors, psychiatrists, therapists and more. I always leave appointments feeling positive and like I made a difference by using my Spanish speaking skills. I feel like I am helping people by doing something that comes natural to me and getting paid for it. I love it and I recommend it as a job to students especially. It is the perfect job to make some extra income while not having to derail from your studies.

Overall Hanna has a good company culture. All of the employees are friendly and helpful.  The energy is positive and up beat.  You come in and do your job then go home.  Hopefully it’s not raining because you park on a unpaved dirt parking lot. It’s pointless to get your car washed because it’s going to get dirty when you get to work. It’s almost like parking in a construction area. Building is extremely old and has a insect (Roaches & Spiders) problem. The office space can use a upgrade and the bob-wire fencing is a bit intimidating. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working at Hanna is very "hit or miss". Some assignments are great others are not. They also require you to be registered as an LLC at your own expense, and deduct a $10 fee from your first assignment. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You are never certain of what may take place.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It is oriented toward AI, such that you are on your own with problems.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There is no typical day; one never knows what to expect. This is all under the rubric of "client confidentiality" but it amounts to a convenient dodge.

I am so grateful for a such priceless experience.
I like what I do and it's very rewarding to me. All the positive feedback that I received from people motivated me to be more responsible and offer my best possible service. 
This opportunity met my qualifications and skills as well as my flexibility. 
The management has always been available and professional to respond to any questions or misunderstandings.

I work with a great group of people. The departments are led by good Supervisors who are always looking for ways to improve themselves and the company. The office is busy and quickly growing which makes us feel like there is definitely room for advancement. While the office is laid back/casual, we all work very hard.  We appreciate and love working with our roster of Interpreters. The most enjoyable part of this job is that we have been growing together as professionals, and the work environment is more positive and welcoming than ever!

I love that this company is very understanding, whenever there is an assignment, they always ask us if we are interested (because of the travel). basically we go out to the job site that they need you and you would translate in your native language for patience in Dr. office setting. I learned that it takes alot of practice with medical terminology to translate through native language.The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing that patience and Dr.s understand each other and its because of my help through use of my language.
