This clinic has always been a small clinic but the way they move you would have thought that it was a hospital the way that they are always trying to take on new patients even though some of the PCP's had age limits like 0-21 which is not helpful. Plus the way the nurses are they never like talking to the patients or they take 4 hours to get back to them over meds. The company does not care about the individual they care about the little loans or contributions that they get from bigger companies and they have not done anything to make the company better. Nothing that you do as a call center agent is ever right and you will always be stressed out. The money that you are getting paid is not worth the mental stress at all. They want you to calm down people who are going through a crisis but you cant book a behavior health appointment. you email a PAR to have them help out a patient because your busy or they need to set up an appointment but they will not do it and they will give a snarky attitude. The amount of work you have to do and the amount you get paid for the amount of work is not worth it at all.

In my three plus years with HHSI I greatly improved my skills and speed! However the working conditions were extremely stressful
and as such I wouldn't recommend it for most people! The Hyannis site I worked at had an extremely high turn over rate of assistants. 
In my three years there I saw at least a dozen assistants come and go! Many new assistants quit within a month or less to go work in a slower paced private offices. It was common place for each dentist working to see 22-25 patients in an eight day! In addition since it was a community health center many of the patients we dealt with had serious emotional / behavioral problems! It's common knowledge that many people are terrified of dentists. This created an additional challenge for all of the dental assistants. Finally in the Hyannis area over 85% of our patients spoke none or very little english! I managed to learn enough Brazillian Portuguese and some Spanish in order to perform my duties!

HR is not your friend!  I’ve seen many staff fired over false accusations leveled against them. If someone doesn’t like someone else, they just have to file a complaint, it can be completely fabricated. The accuser is never wrong. Good people have been summarily dismissed on the word of a person who makes many complaints. When are they going to consider that one person has issues with many?

Personally, I worked there 5 years, mostly it was good. I left for greener pastures in a similar field. 

The Community Health Center where I currently work is WAY better run, staff are WAY happier and the patients are too. Because the Administration is superior. The good vibes start at the top. 

Healthcare environment always has its challenges because of the nature of the customers you serve.  I absolutely loved the patients. Loved keeping them out of Nursing Homes. Staff was empowered to do their own thing professionally as long as the patient goals were met.  HR always took the line staff position, not supporting managers, which contributed to the hostile environment which they of course denied.  Felt like a union shop without the presence of a union. I learned the consequences of not compromising my core values--I maintained by dignity and integrity but I had to walk away from a formerly wonderful work situation.

I have worked there for a while now and sees how management has changed. Some for the worst... 
Flexibility with the schedule, but it is DEPEND on the supervisor (s) and yes, it is a layer of supervisors. 
Most of the employees are nice and getting with one another fine. 
The positive thing about Harbor is that most of the employees are nice and so you do not have to feel that you are a small fish in the midst giant sharks or crocodiles.
Some companies employees treated new employees like aliens who doesn't belong there, but I can say that Harbor is a bit different.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Use to be a great place to work but new administration took over and things changed .  It’s to bad cause they use to have great people who worked there. Still a few left.

Administration they do not respect the staff

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Use be that staff felt like family not longer true

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful at best not a lot of support from. Administration staff pull together as much as possible that is why staff leave

Was a comfortable place to work....management let you do your job and provide great care fir the patients,   With our now new leadership it seems all about numbers and $....NOT PATIENT CARE. 
Extended hours and poor medical leadership has divided the staff and tainted the comfortable working environment. lack of leadership from each work site has shown to be the major issue. 
This is a Community Health Center, the patients cause enough work and stress it should not come from within. 
Applicants....you can do better applying someplace else...and make more $$ for the work.

All locations have poor employee retention due to burnout from inadequate operational processes and training. Several people of ALL positions leave and don’t stay too long. Overall senior management is poor and refuse to listen to the staff and employees. Constant changes that aren’t necessary and not what is needed to provide better patient care. Lack of opportunity for growth and career advancement, no investment in their people. 

I love working with the Elderly. 
Being a medical scheduler at Harbor Health has been a very exciting experience so far, U encountered some very interesting people and to hear their life stories and be able to help them maintain their health with as little as getting them an appt. they need in a faster than normal time cause.. I will not take "We don't have anything until 3 months out". 
I will get them their needed appointments as soon as their needs want it!

Horrible company. Couldn’t care less about the patients or its employees. Their only focus is production and statistics. They claim their values include Innovation, Community, Responsiveness, Diversity, and Quality. The only one I’ve seen to be true is diversity, the rest are a bold faced lie.
