I did enjoy working at Havasu for the most part. There were times where I questioned leadership, or the general operations of the hospital. However, it seems that when everyone does their part, things run smoothly. The best part of working at this hospital are the benefits. I do not think that I will ever get the kind of insurance I had any where else.  The worst part of working there is that it is a for-profit hospital, meaning that everything revolves around money. If money isn’t being made, they would rather cut the cord instead of thinking about a better strategy.
The general culture of the staff has gotten better over the years, I guess. I was only there for a year so I cannot speak how it was before 2022, but it did seem that the culture I saw was different from the reviews I saw. The CEO was new so that probably had something to do with it. The worst part was the fact that it was terribly understaffed. Its a small town, but it does get busy, and when it does, the staff gets stretched thin.
Overall, it is a good place to work. Just remember that because it is for-profit, you have to be on your game. They would rather get rid of the problem instead of trying to solve it.

The pharmacy department suffers from chronic understaffing and HIGH TURNOVER...but still manages to have lots and lots of boses, chiefs, supervisors, coordinators, etc...etc...
The technicians that have been desperate enough to last there a while are given personal offices with computers and all..they run around all day enforcing rules, writing dozens of emails, and micromanaging the few techs still willing to sacrifice their soul to work there.  They act as if they are working at a major metropolitan hospital.  One pharmacist once commented that those pharmacy technician office jobs don't require any type of advanced training..but they sure do act like the big shots of society.
The department has gone through 25+ directors in the last 10 years or so.  THAT SHOULD TELL YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW.  They hire agency pharmacy directors that fly in from the other side of the country.  They are not even part of the local community and don't care to waste the hospital's money and treat employees as if they are easily replaceable.
Nowadays...employers are the ones becoming more easily replaceable.  Especially in Healthcare.  KNOW YOUR WORTH.

The care at this hospital is top notch. Unfortunately equipment shortages cause unsafe procedures in many rooms including lack of vitals machines, oxygen nozzles, etc. Rapid response team is top notch. 

Employee culture was deplorable. I was a pool new grad RN and I felt that contingencies had been created to phase out grad RNs during non-peak season (summer, early fall) as several other pool grad RNs spoke of gossiping, backbiting, and other toxic behavior among staff RNs to pool RNs. Management neglected to correct this behavior. Disciplinary reports were given frequently without direct communication between accuser and accused and employee conflicts were resolved with disciplinary action against accused, no questions asked. I felt that rational discourse in conflicts was absent and that passive aggression was not discouraged. I eventually left due to to decreased hours during summer lag.

Attention to traveler , newly grad  and will experience tech be aware dont ever work or apply  , dont ever lure you over a sign on bonus coz they fired you and you will paying back the sign on bonus. Just come visit the lab you will notice that older staff of medical technologist but they are new  2  years or less . Only 2 staff are in there 5 - years working . Phlebotomist are young and newly grad . Ask them " how many lab staff be fired since new intern director been working since april .Every 1-2 months firing medical technologist 1-3 staff and phleb/lab assist like 2-5 satff been fired  . The medical technologist lead are laziest they only work in bench 3 hrs and the rest listening to music coz they doing policy and procedure. No updated policy . Lab director is always out in lab doing crossfit and she bipolar .Or always out of town . Try to review local new on regards murder coz mostly staff havasu coz the stress level is bad and bring home with family.

Started here as a new grad. Not a great choice. ZERO new grad training.  Thank goodness I worked with my best friend who "showed me the ropes".  Worked nights. There were a lot of travel nurses who advised to find another job somewhere else as quickly as possible. Unit was always out of supplies and pharmacy was always out of meds, no IV poles when you needed one and honestly it seemed no one knew what they were doing!  Hospital just transitioned from paper to electronic charting so that was a plus. High nurse to patient ratio of 1:8 (no kidding) on a very busy med surg tele unit.  I don't think it's improved much since I worked there.  Unit manager was demoted to wound nurse.  Lots of people quit. High turn over rate. Only hospital to work at in Lake Havasu.  Make the best of it...if you have to and hold your own!

As a phlebotomist, it was an incredible time. Very nice experience, great do workers, patient interaction was priceless. A job that fed my souls pourpose. I gained a tremendous amount of experience being able to work in so many different areas to care for my patients. From newborns to ICU to rehabilitation patients it was wonderful. To see first hand how much care went into every patients experience have me so much pride being on staff at havasu regional medical center.

A typical day included providing direct patient care to those hospitalized.  I learned alot regarding nursing skills, diseases, and treatments.  There was always an instructor to guide us when we had issues and needed help.  My co-workers consisted of my fellow nursing students as well as hospital staff and everyone was so helpful.  The hardest part of the job was being a new student and not always knowing what to do in a particular situation.  The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with patients and helping them recover.

By far the worst place I have ever worked from start to finish all was a horrible experience from bottom level staff to the top. One person is expected to do the work of 5 for aweful pay...horrid benefits that are not affordable...almost no training...lots of drama and bullies. No leadership or support from "management" Little to no actual care for patients...filthy disgusting work and break areas...as well as treatment rooms lobby's bathrooms etc.. And no consequences for terrible behaviors so it's a viscous cycle there. Not only would I tell someone applying to RUN!...but I wouldn't take my dog here for treatment either.

I am always open to learning, always room for improvement in any job environment. Friendly, fair management in personal opinion. Co-workers are as close as family and friends. Everyone has an off day sometimes its best to cheer someone up then stir the pot. Doing multiple jobs always some days to be easier than others. I don't believe any job is more important than any other, each job has its difficulties. I enjoy working in general, over all I've been call a serious workaholic. I try to work as much as possible/ needed.

Havasu Regional Medical Center is situated in a city on the way to nowhere. Therefore it serves a fairly large area that caters to the retired folks who snow bird in the winters. It is 2 1/2 hrs. from Las Vegas, and 3 1/2 hrs. from Phoenix. 
The majority of medical services were within the hospital, or community. 
Job duties included staffing, communication between patients, family members, staff, and other medical staff. 
Regular planning meetings were required on the unit and with other managers and administration staff.
