As a nurse coordinator at Healix I run the office infusion center on a day to day basis, scheduling, planning, and implementing IV therapies.  Performing IV access, mixing medications, assessing the patients for medication reactions and effectiveness of treatment.  I have learned what it takes to run an office alone with the help of staff at a distant location.  I work with many different types of computer programs to chart (EMR), schedule, order supplies, and report care to physicians.  There is an IT staff that are supportive of the programs.
Management seems distant, not extremely communicative but will counsel when required.
Co-workers are the personnel at the physician's office and, at a distance, the other nurse coordinators at other locations.  Establishing a relationship with both are sometimes difficult.  However, the most difficult part of the job are all the administrative details, getting everything done on time, especially when things don't go as planned.  Also, getting back up to cover me when I am sick or on vacation, there never seems to be enough nurses to go around.  The infusion office seems a heavy burden when needing to take off for any reason because so many people are impacted when they have to be rescheduled.
The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to know the patients, who have a chronic illness, and watching them get better with treatment.  
This is a very unique position that requires a lot of varied experience.

If you're looking for a job where you can work 40hrs a week max, this is not the right place for you. Be ready to put in 50-60hrs a week. 
They pay by salary pay but do not be deceived into thinking that this is a 40hr work week. Be ready to not ever have lunch breaks, to work 10-12 hrs a day and to be driving back and forth between two offices. They say day time hours but expect you to be there from 6am to 9pm. 
They treat their employees in the field (everywhere besides the corporate office) like they are idiots. They do not value their employees or pay them what they are worth. They are also very condescending and do not listen to the people taking care of the patients. 

They expect you to be in two offices at the same time. Be ready to get yelled at 2weeks into the job and when you're still trying to know your way around and don't have any help. The turnover is very high.

I enjoyed working for the company.  Management wanted to use lots of temporary workers to fill positions rather than hire you on as permanent workers.  Qualified for permanent positions but for 2 years was only given entry level work, even with a BS degree. Job requirements they wanted you to have 3+years experience for work a high school student could do. Other areas needing help, they would train you,( nothing difficult) rather than hire you for the position and use you as a temp..  Learning the skills were not hard to learn if you were knowledgeable of office work/ medical field work.

This company is so poorly run.   Very "top heavy."  They give you basically no training but expect you to be perfect from the start.   You never hear from corporate unless you are being "scolded" for something.   After asking for specific examples for feedback you are given nothing.   They only care about profit.   They do not care about patient care unless it helps their bottom line.   I have worked for many companies and no company has been perfect, but for the most part cared about their employees.  Not Healix.  Until working for Healix,  I never imagined a company could be so horrible.   If you are an employee there,  you are on your own... and they will throw you under the bus at a moment's notice if it benefits them.  I will give them credit that they pay well... but trust me it's not worth it.

Although there is Healix University they are in such a rush to get you into the field I was not provided all the tools.to do my job before I was placed.in a busy disorganized office  Nurse does it all. EXTREMELY detailed documentaion down to each syringe of saline and heparin charting lot number and exp date. Convaluted redundant software program that is not user friendly or instinctive. Multiple programs to learn. Long long work and travel days not paid for the.time worked if u look at.the.pay vs hours you are.salaried. The managers were.sweet and supportive but that only goes so far.when the work is.so exhausting and endless.   Rn

What is the best part of working at the company?
The continuity of care provided.  You could catch up on a pts history since all the charting, information , products and procedures are the same wherever you go. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being sent anywhere without much notice.  I have been sent to three different states in one week. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
the politics of the company is stressful.  You don’t get a lot of praise or encouragement.   Luckily I knew I did a good job and did not have to hear it from corporate 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Since I was in the field taking care of patients it just depended where you were.  Things went very smoothly most of the time.

Working for Healix was probably the most rewarding work experience I’ve ever had. Work life balance and a HUGE amount of resources and support. Flexible scheduling and no micromanaging from higher ups. Only left due to an unforeseen merger, and I think about going back everyday. Was suffering from healthcare burnout before I came in with them and I swear they made me enjoy being a nurse again and I felt like I truly had purpose and I was appreciated. (A rarity in this field) promotions seem to come from within and they are fair. Overall this job seemed too good to be real, but it was, and I miss it greatly. 

It was a nice place to work, I got a lot experience in how to work different devices for IV infusion drugs.

In relation a co-workers...mmm...I could say that it was ok, not the better co-workers but no really so bad for to be them.

The most hard side to work, it was from Monday to Thursday at the afternoons, every IV orders had to be ready at 6:30PM and the more times it was to much work and everybody it was rushing for to have every IV order ready, at the end of the work shift we can do it

The Fridays it was a relax day, in the sense that we don't have to much IV orders for compound and basically we pass all day making an IV restock items for to be ready for the next week.

Zoom interview. Zoom education. Preceptors are from out of state, and everyone seems spread very thin in the organization. Site help was severely lacking and YOU are entirely responsible for it ALL-stay late to get it all done? Too bad. You are salaried. And the salary was not commiserate with the responsibility of the position.  Serious concerns were answered hours after via email chain.  I  got explanations for things like that "wasn't supposed to be that way" and "that hasn't happened before" instead of a solution, an answer, an apology. Not professional at all. 

One of the most enjoyable atmospheres to work. Major points of satisfaction was working closely with physicians,  nurses,  and the patients.  The company is concerned and QUALITY as well as the bottom line.  They exhibited a good balance of both. Time is set aside for education and case presentations. 
Positive aspect are that the Clinic sites are operated without alot of direct supervision. The pharmacist is encouraged develop positive relationships with physicians, nurses and patients. Very rewarding experience.
