HR - I cannot call them the "People Team" as they want because they are a huge reason why I have wanted to leave. I am not treated as a person. They do not care about employee retention (except when it effects their numbers), they make my job a living he-double hockey sticks by not listening, devaluing what I do and making decisions without consulting or even wanting to talk to me when it should be a group effort. I have never worked for a company where they are the cause of so many issues instead of helping mitigate issues. Everytime we are told in meetings where we should feel free to reach out to HR, I have to scoff. It will fall on deaf ears. Don't even bother. Just leave. 

Leadership/management - They are also the biggest problem. I am not saying all leadership is bad but the ones that matter are pretty toxic. We constantly get paid lip service of how they're there to remove obstacles but they are in fact the obstacles. There is no fighting for us but just giving into the demands of who yells the loudest. There is no structure or organization or prioritization. If everything is marked urgent, then nothing is urgent. Please don't preach that unless you actually follow it yourself. It is pretty hypocritical to tell us that when everything just gets escalated anyway. Also being told all of our work "only takes a few minutes to do right?" does not help and devalues what we do. We have worked hard to build and scale our work so that we can work THAT fast. The more you continue to treat people like dirt and blame us for not working faster or harder when we have tried to help others in the company because they can't get help anywhere else but  continue to pile on work at us that is not even our job while just cracking the whip harder, the more you'll have a mass exodus after everyone can sell their stocks. That was a run-on sentence but I don't even care because it is that upsetting. 

Security - I get that it is a public company and there is more scrutiny and more attacks. But the amount of security that gets implemented each day prevents us from doing our job and no alternative is being provided. Need to be on call? Sign your rights away and give access to your personal cell phone with full admin access. Need admin rights because you actually need to do your job? No, but we'll automatically give it to those who are caught downloading  things at work they shouldn't be and have a dedicated game room to just mess around in because they can do no wrong and have no accountability. 

I honestly stay (for the very short time being) because I don't want to overload or stress out our already overloaded team and for the few people who are beacons of light in wanting to help and wanting to do the right thing. But I honestly cannot work for a company that actively makes employees feel like dirt on a daily basis and undermines them constantly by putting up the pretense of how "great this purple culture" is when doing the exact opposite. It sickens me everytime I hear that out of an executive's mouth.

HealthEquity swept me off of my feet when I first began. They truly would go out of their way to help one another. It was incredible.
That meant more to me than anything.
It was not uncommon for a Team Lead to leave work to pick up one of their team members who was without a car, or a collective team to gather their money to help others team members who were facing hard times. I had never felt more valued and appreciated.
Then, slight changes began to happen. Which seemed 
Exciting. Remodeling of floors.  New desks, etc.  but it came with a price. The office now seemed like everywhere else. Just like other call centers. You are in a beautified box. With ursula sucking out your mermaid voice for peanuts and stress. Beautiful pool tables that no one in member services has time to use.
New policies and procedures came into play.. to bring “Efficiency”. Hurrah for saving the company money and for new upper management to prove their worth right? Team members feel unvalued and immediately become  puppets on a string. We are no longer able to leave notes on members accounts., it takes too much time, but our members are people who are seeking help? This organization was made by a doctor., what happened to the individual care of our members or the employees who serve in the front line?Member Service specialists are discounted for abilities and education, they are seldom promoted, and  lied to about law vs company policy. Hoping no one questions their information.
They have company events,. The higher paid employees are always able to attend. Yet member services never has that freedom without asking permission and being lucky enough to attend. Like winning the lottery to feel valued.

If there is such a thing as an anti retaliation policy, the people team does a great job hiding what really happens.
There are favorites, and rules change for each person on a case by case basis.
The best is when a 5 year tenured employee, works diligently even with disabilities, is surprised by a final write up, without a warning?.. no verbal or any steps in between.
The people team needs some help. Im unsure where they graduated from. They don’t have all of their marbles. A lot of blank stares when speaking with them.
They have admitted of not knowing policy and laws well enough to have to call a company attorney to check.  

Its a good place if you can squeeze into the good side of favorites. If not, the team leads, the people team and Workforce Management mainly, will make your life a living nightmare.

The growth of the company moving to corporate is very sad. They dont walk their talk as much as they claim. Bless Jon’s heart. He is humble and one of the best guys ever. Wish people could follow their lead.
Too many feel threatened by other new employees who can contribute. They are in fear of losing their power.

I love the executive team's engagement and the culture they are driving.  They are really on the right path from what I witnessed and they've treated the company employees better than any company I've worked for in the past.  KUDOS!!  
Now, I can only speak to my experience and not the company as a whole for the rest.  In management (VP and below), you never can disconnect during the work week without being marked for it.  Work days are longer than 8 hours, but you do get to work from home.  Clocking 60 or more hours a week is very common and expected.  While your workload often is not reasonable, raising that issue is seen as failure.  Expect your boss to  overreact to corporate requests and their own insecurities.  Most demoralizing is when your boss tells you to write up or term staff without supporting evidence because they think that person is a poor performer.  Refusing and holding the line for proper documentation will be reflected negatively upon you.  Coaching employees is seen as a stalling and weakness until you do the write up.  Providing your boss evidence they are performing will frustrate your boss and be reflected negatively upon you.  Frankly, any time you don't share your boss's vision of current processes or staff within your team(s), you must tread lightly because they will feel threatened by their lack of knowledge or view you negatively for not being in sync with them.  We spent too much time fighting our boss's negative assumptions about everyone and everything.  We really needed a leader that is open minded and able to lead rather than tear everyone below them down.  Its the only way to build and inspire great teams and companies.

I rarely leave public reviews, but I feel it’s important to speak honestly about my experience so others know what they may be walking into.

This company operates in an extremely high-stress, micromanaged environment while offering very low pay compared to the level of responsibility, workload, and emotional labor expected from employees. The expectations are unrealistic, and the pressure is constant from the moment you log in until the moment you clock out.

One of the biggest issues is the lack of consistency across departments and supervisors. Metrics, rules, and expectations are not applied equally. What is acceptable for one employee or one team can result in discipline or termination for another—simply because they have a different supervisor. There is no standard enforcement, which creates confusion, anxiety, and a constant fear of doing something “wrong” even when following previous guidance.

I was fired because customers were not happy with their service and complained to employer. I did my best to be helpful but was told I was too helpful and took too long on calls. Very stressful work environment and management not very supportive when questions arose. Systems were terrible and customers always having log in problems. Team Leader just sat at her desk and wouldn't help when you had questions. Hostile environment. Hardest part of the job was getting answers or resolving customer's issues because everyone was too busy to help or unwilling to help. Wanted what they called "first call resolution", but in reality they just wanted you to do a patch job and get done quickly. When a customer ask for a supervisor we were told to just submit a case. How helpful is that?

They're always giving back to the employees 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You must learn the different health insurances such as Dependent Care, Flexible Spending, Health Savings, etc. It can be pretty overwhelming at times because by the time you think you understand 1 thing you're being trained on something else.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's inclusive, laid back, yet back to back calls all day

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Card issues, password resets, members locked out of their accounts, members mad that the deadline has ended and they can't submit new receipts for reimbursement, the elderly don't have anyone to help explain some of the issues but we can't be on the phone with them that long, etc

I think the senior and exec leadership of this company are stellar. The CEO and founder get culture and do everything they can to improve lives. I think the stock compensation package is such that it really can change lives. The bonus program is clear and transparent. Base salaries should be improved, as I think HQY pays lower than market average.

There have been some recent growing pains. A couple executives that I don't think add value, but more politics to the picture. I think mid-level leaders are taking on a lot of the workload for these recent acquisitions, which has made people think twice about their commitment to the mission HealthEquity carries.

During my time here at this job it was not a good experience. It started off. Okay, and then over time, things became very uncomfortable, there was no real.
 Happiness within the employment. As they were always changing things and expected you to accept change, there is a lot of technical issues that we had to deal with, especially when it had to do with the member portable, we were just told to.  Explain it's not working.It was always very hard dealing with customers.As they were always upset with the company.And we had to play the peacemaker.The job itself wasn't hard but just know.There is no advancement in and the management.Really didn't care about you individually. And the pay really does not cover all the work you're doing. The motion make is sixteen an hour

People are really there to help you be successful. They provide all the tools to succeed. The bonuses are a plus besides working with great people.

There are times that you encounter system issues and that is a problem for me.

We are remote but all about diversity and culture. The people team makes sure that there are exciting things introduced and plenty of opportunities to help others.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day is taking lots of calls, helping other TM's, leading peer to peer sessions and overall trying to make a difference and build meaningful relationships.

HealthEquity is an excellent company to work for, they are constantly providing their agents with updated information to accurately provide solutions and education to members. The team leaders need improvement, but the work and the benefits are wonderful. Moving to other departments are difficult, because there are many applicants. HealthEquity promotes healthy living and has an awesome wellness team and reimbursement options. You can travel for the company to provide presentations and benefit fairs, which is very fun and exciting. To succeed you need to be motivated and constantly find ways to improve and educate accurately.
