What is the best part of working at the company?
During my time at HealthRIGHT 360, I had the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally. The best part of working there was the patients. Being able to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and play a part in their journey toward better health was truly rewarding. Each patient encounter was a reminder of why I chose this field—making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of working at HealthRIGHT 360 was navigating a toxic work environment, coupled with little to no guidance or support from upper management. There was often a lack of consistency in communication and decision-making, which made it challenging to perform at my best. Clear direction and supportive leadership are essential in any workplace, and unfortunately, those aspects were frequently missing, adding unnecessary stress to an already demanding role.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment at HealthRIGHT 360 is fast-paced, offering opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the community. Working with patients was the most rewarding part, as it provided a sense of purpose and fulfillment. However, the overall work environment was often challenging due to a lack of consistency, limited guidance from upper management, and instances of a toxic workplace culture. Despite these hurdles, the experience helped me grow both personally and professionally, especially in adapting to high-pressure situations and advocating for patient care.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical workday at HealthRIGHT 360 was fast-paced and patient-centered. The day often began with reviewing schedules, preparing exam rooms, and ensuring all necessary supplies were stocked. Throughout the day, I assisted with patient intake, took vital signs, performed point-of-care testing (POCT), and ensured patients were seen in a timely manner. Communication with providers and other team members was essential to keep the workflow smooth.

In addition to patient care, I handled administrative tasks, addressed patient inquiries, and coordinated follow-ups. While the work was rewarding, especially when helping patients through their healthcare journey, the day could be challenging due to staffing shortages and a lack of consistent guidance from leadership. Despite these hurdles, staying adaptable and focused on patient care remained a top priority.

A typical day at Prototypes Women's center is all about completing documentation notes and scheduling appointments with case load of clients. There is a tremendous emphasis on making your productivity quota for the week and for the month to ensure billing requirements are met accordingly to stay afloat. There is not always enough time in the day to complete all work tasks and billing, due to continuous staff turnover and short staffing that affects the teams. Supervisors are very supportive and management has grown into a structured women ran and empowering team dynamic, which i actually appreciate and respect. I have felt a great sense of purpose and appreciation for working there, and obtaining the experience i have in the substance abuse treatment field, but compensation for the case management team is truly backwards and unfair. Compared to the amount of added work tasks and large case load that is inherited during staff turnover, the CM team has advocated for a raise to match other program rates, or classification of the CM positions but to no avail. All in all, the hardest part of the job is trying to keep up with productivity / insurance billing demands and staying organized when many scheduling challenges arise to accommodate client needs and 3rd party provider meeting per court-ordered-time-sensitive matters. The most enjoyable part of the job is personable coworkers, celebrating milestones, birthdays and an empowering women comradery facing similar stressors and advancing education goals. The workplace culture has at times felt like sink or swim due to the high stress, lack of availability and client demands but it has been a great learning experience. like a stepping stone to learn from the fast-paced, high stress, crisis intervening, teamwork environment.

I've been working for HR360 collectively for nearly 5 years, including time spent as an intern and then moving on to being a paid employee. HealthRIGHT is a large non-profit and I think at this scale there are a lot of systemic issues that impact client care, particularly in the company's tendency to keep problematic staff working with clients in lower paid positions that are hard to keep filled, such as residential staff at our Residential Step Down facilities. Working at my particular OP site, overall I love the day to day work with my clinical team, supervisor, and the clients at our site. 

I think some of the biggest issues with HR360 occur at the management level. Over the years the push for higher productivity from upper management has put a lot of strain on clinicians throughout their system and we have lost a lot of talented caring clinicians as a result from management's focus on numbers over quality care. The biggest impact to productivity are no-shows, which we have no control over, however management will approach you with the mindset that this is something you can control and improve on when productivity percentage falls as a result of client attendance. The ability to work from home is based on productivity and if it falls below 45% (direct clinical hours only) you lose the ability to work from home and may be subject to disciplinary action. Expect to have a high case load, which is a positive if you're working on hours for licensure or a negative if you struggle with burn out.

That being said, I would still say that HR360 is a decent place to work. Pay is not excellent, but also not the worst compared to other CHM agencies. Your mileage may vary on experience depending on what site you are at and your team, but despite the issues mentioned I would still recommend working here for the experience working with addiction and getting your hours.

I would run groups and see clients throughout the week. I learned more about complex trauma cases and how to identify when someone was high in group. The workplace culture was not supportive to people in my role and when I advocated for my clients with specific, practical, and tangible requests I was told that my clients don't care about sessions with me and that I was "bringing down the mood." I experienced my manager invalidating, ignoring, and pushing back on my requests, even just to have a Zoom account, but then she would go behind the scenes and fix the issue over a week or two. The hardest part was not being able to do my job ethically and watching my supervisor make harmful decisions for the clients who were very vulnerable and in need of help. I was given intense clinical cases and not given enough support or guidance. I was told that I was the problem for asking for more guidance. I also experienced a hostile work culture from team members. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing some small progress with the clients who did come more regularly and, unfortunately, moving on to another job.

Overall, working at HealthRIGHT360 has been a positive experience. I have picked up a huge amount of knowledge about working in the field of addiction. The workplace culture has been supportive. The team has been helpful with coverage needs and sharing knowledge, and everyone seems to get along.

I have seen a number of reviews talking about bad management. That has not been my experience. In the San Mateo office the clinical supervisor has a ton of knowledge and always makes time to support front line workers, not just the therapists. The director has consistently backed us up when my team has wanted to try something new or needed to make tough clinical decisions, and is a good advocate for the branch with the central office. Management also leaves a lot of room for independence and self-directed work. My only frustration has been long timelines getting funding approved for non-essentials, which seems to be a non-profit issue everywhere I've worked.

The hardest and the most enjoyable parts of the job are the same: the clients. You will be working with high needs clients dealing with addiction. It is extremely rewarding and also can be very challenging. Practice self-care!

In the beginning it was nice. I felt great because it was new, challenging and a culture I was familiar and comfortable with helping.  But then it went to the toilet when they moved us to the actual call center downstairs.  It was loud, disruptive and unprofessional.  And you are expected to do a wonderful job in a horrible, unprofessional, bias environment.  We had no management or support for almost an entire year. Then they continued to hire other call center agents with no scheduling or medical administrative background or training.  I even seen agents on FaceTime with their friends while talking to patients exposing their confidential patient info. Totally disregarding HIPPA. I have seen patients on controlled medications not get refills because these so called call center agents can't properly send a secure message to the correct providers. I even seen the other agents going and getting their nails done and taking long breaks and meeting their boyfriends in the alley without clocking out. I don't recommend anyone being a employee nor a patient at Health Right 360. They are not as caring or concerned as they put out there. They are rude, short, bias, and unorganized as a medical facility and also dental clinic. Run far away!

Healthright 360 is a company, where employee appreciation and engagement are actively encouraged and propagated and fosters a positive work environment.

I believe the most common sources of workplace stress include a heavy workload, tight deadlines, unclear expectations, poor work-life balance, lack of support from colleagues or superiors, and a poor work environment. generally unhealthy.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Healthright 360 has a very varied work environment and culture depending on the work area. Employees highlight diversity, great benefits and an open PTO policy as positive aspects, and a union has been established.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Every day is almost the same in the company involves following a well-structured routine to improve the productivity and well-being of internal and external residents. Daily routines for good health begin with a good breakfast, exercise and a balanced diet so that we are prepared every day to develop neutral work.

 I worked at very big facility .There were more clients than staff. The company couldn't keep a director for the program longer than 3-6 months. Anytime anyone stood up to management to advocate for the clients or got in to an argument with a client that person would be put on administrative leave for weeks or even months until either the employee would quit or get fired for some irrelevant reason.  During shelter in place management would let clients have visitors but when the employee's did it they would fire them or report them to HR. Your ALWAYS over worked and under paid and god forbit you don't meet your " productivity" goals because you will get pulled in to the office and get chewed out for it. At one point the facility only had two counselors and they were expected to meet with over 20+ clients ! That's not including your notes and treatment plans they had a little help from the supervisors thought. oh and if you get a call from HR be ready to fight for yourself because the union will not help you. bottom line is DONT WORK here. ITS A TOXIC work environment and will completely drain you.

A typical day involves administering an addiction severity index. We alternate Officer of The Day and detox authorizer duties on a daily and weekly basis. I've learned how to administer a Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for alcohol. Management is wonderful when it comes to debriefing after an incident. Encourages breaks on a regular basis along with self care. We share a floor with Offender Treatment Program and Mental Health Access. We are a fun bunch of people who celebrate various holidays with pot lucks. We are an excellent team that comes together very well under pressure and during crisis interventions. The hardest part of the job is when we are short staffed with a lobby filled with clients. The most enjoyable part of the job is helping others. To see progress in clients lives whether they are seeking abstinence or harm reduction. I love facilitating groups and seeing the "Light Bulb" go on.

There is a very toxic environment, almost to the point of a hostile work environment, this agency has grown too fast in such a short amount of time. Without the infrastructure being prepared to handle this influx of programs. Not a very fun place to work, you always have to look over your back. A motto used by upper management “we are building the plane as we fly” please be patient. Being a veteran of the Navy air wing, this motto reminds me of a Navy motto “well-built planes do not crash and burn.” Management sets up the stressful environment by saying you have to make it work or if you cannot do it maybe will find someone who can. It always feels like the staff is trying to climb the ladder so to speak. Just like crabs in a bucket, and no one ever gets to the top. Upper management listens to accusations made by staff members and program participants. In this management often reacts with a knee-jerk reaction without really thinking about the long-term problems that ﻿﻿﻿a﻿﻿r﻿e created﻿.﻿
