The salary does not reflect the workload, which is overwhelming and often equivalent to doing the job of three people due to severe understaffing in all departments. The benefits are subpar, and the responsibilities outlined in the job description significantly understate the actual expectations.

Management consistently fails to address staffing issues and instead shifts the burden onto employees, creating a high-stress environment. Supportive initiatives such as team-building activities, monthly lunches, or even basic recognition are nonexistent. In fact, management is often disrespectful, dismissing employee concerns until issues escalate, at which point blame is unfairly placed on staff.

The company also suffers from a high turnover rate, largely due to false advertising that sets unrealistic expectations for prospective employees. Company financial instability is another concern, with significant revenue loss following government actions that removed a substantial portion of their clients. Job security is practically nonexistent.

As a final note, the abundance of positive reviews on platforms like Indeed is misleading. These reviews were reportedly solicited by the company in exchange for a chance to win prizes, rather than being genuine reflections of employee experiences. 

In summary, I cannot recommend this company unless you have no other options. Proceed with caution.

 Employees are monitored on restroom use and time spent in the restroom. Employees are heavily micromanaged. There is a zero chance for any kind of growth or promotion. 


A typical day at work is stressful due to the lack of staffing the work is outsourced to the rest of the other departments. The frequency of work does not equal the pay as you're expect to do task that are from other departments and/or branches. The additional task from other departments cause loss of productivity and employees are therefore blamed for the lack of progress. Regardless management gives such task to employees setting up unreachable goals and/or expectations.

I learned that working hard, going above and beyond for the agency does not pay off. Hard work is not recognized and/or rewarded; solutions are frown upon, raising any issues will be met with retaliation from management. If you're punctual, have a good attitude and have a wonderful work ethic you will not be valued.

In my short tenure with the company, I have seen entire departments leave due to managements lack of guidance. While the job postings offer team building and supportive management this is in fact non-existent. As most positive reviews you see from this company are from PCA/caregivers. It is in fact an effort to boost the company's image promising prizes for good reviews to their employees. The agency has a managerial problem often retaliating against employees. This is why the agency suffers from a high turnover rate. Raising any issue against a supervisor and team lead will lead to your quality of work being scrutinized. 

Things are great in the beginning and if your department is not up to par even if it's not your fault they make you pay for something you did not do.  Something was implemented to help with our department then we were told no don't do that.   Then the big boss comes over only to tell us "oh this is not done" and "that is not done" all to have the been blamed along with everyone in that department of the department not being up to par.  Instead of saying how can we help you to better the department.   The treatment was so bad they might as well gotten a switch and hit us with it.  I told one of the high ups that told me during my great review before my raise that if I need anything or have any problems they are here for me.  Well when the time came I called that person and they came back with saying "Oh well you have to understand that when the department is as bad as they say it is that one person is going to get tugged and pulled in different directions.  I had to handle everyone that came in for our department for more than a month while the rest were being used to do chart audits and getting the department in tact I was forced to handle ALL people that came for HR/Compliance and fall behind on my work, and no one cared.  And my supervisor was told she could not help me.  So I get to drown.  Never did I expect this treatment.

My typical day at work is to help my client(s) maintain a safe and clean environment..  Assist them with their medicine or what every help they might need to prepare for their daily activities. I always schedule appointment and do any errands they need done.  As a Home Health Aide I have worked with all kinds of people world wide. I enjoying being around elders because each one of them have a unique story to tell me. Sometimes  listening to their stories help me to deal with my won personal problem, they have a lot of wisdom.  I help them the best I can without judging. My clients think me for talking/listing to them and keep them company.  They always express how much they appreciate me helping them.  There are certain things by law that I do not have to do when I'm working with my clients, but if I see that they cannot do certain things that is not required for me to do, as long as i'm not violating the Company protocol and it's my choice I gladly do it for them, and  at the day of the day I always get a smile with a thank you. The hardest part of my job is that at times I can be very emotional and attach.  When it's time for me to close my case with them, I sometime cry.  Days weeks and sometimes years I wonder how they're doing.

If you value your mental health, consistency, or equitable treatment, consider your options carefully. Leadership often appears to favor certain employees while reframing calm, professional communication as
"tension" when it's inconvenient. Requests for support or written clarification are frequently dismissed, leaving employees to navigate expectations without transparency.
Staff are regularly expected to absorb additional responsibilities and cover gaps without adequate support, while being reminded about professionalism that leadership does not consistently model. A small number of teammates and leaders do demonstrate empathy and professionalism, but they remain exceptions within a culture that prioritizes compliance and ego over collaboration and people.
Bottom line: On paper, this organization looks well-structured. In practice, the day-to-day environment is draining, inconsistent, and unnecessarily difficult. Document everything.


I had the unfortunate experience of working for a company that micromanaged its employees to an extreme extent. The management was extremely rude and disrespectful towards its employees, and it was clear that they did not care about their well-being in the slightest.

From the very first day, it was evident that the management had no trust in its employees' abilities and constantly monitored their every move. This level of micromanagement was not only suffocating but also incredibly demotivating.

Moreover, the management's attitude towards the employees was abhorrent. The way they spoke to others was condescending and disrespectful, and it was clear that they did not value our contributions.

In conclusion, I would advise anyone considering working for this company to steer clear. The level of micromanagement, disrespect, and disregard for employees' well-being is unacceptable. No job is worth sacrificing your mental health and dignity.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Best part is the individuals there sweet some of them. The company trash! They don’t care about staff or the individuals. Clients have holly bleached clothes food n cleaning supplies always running out it’s the worst!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Stressful part is trying to feed the correctly and healthy every night you have to figure out how your going to make that happen with no food. Cleaning you have to clean with no supplies. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The worst I will never recommend anyone to work there only if you tryna get a couple of checks n leave that’s all! I would no recommend no long term no benefits or nothing that they offer.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Drama everyday all day they hire mostly miserable old women who don’t have anything actually going for them self’s!

I loved working at Hearth and Home and all the interactions with the families that I helped out while in this position. I enjoyed all aspects of the job. Was a great and friendly atmosphere. I learned a lot from the residents just by the social interactions with them. The hardest part of the job was knowing when the residents had medical problems which prevented them from coming back.  My co workers were great. There were differences at times but that was to be expected when you had new employees. We were all team players and it made the job a great place to be.   The only problem in this workplace was management, it was always up in the air as to how long a director would be there. That made having a steady schedule really hard on us. We couldn't make plans for appointments because the schedule changed so much.

Most unprofessional and unethical place I could’ve ever worked for. Upper management is a joke. Prepare for high school gossip.

The lack of support from upper management.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very hostile work environment and culture. Only lasted working for them 6 months. People leave the job very soon into starting with this company. They don’t really care for the patients, just the contract from insurance and the amount they will be getting paid per case. They call it prioritizing when assisting a patient. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The job is easy overrall. But you clock in the morning, work all day. Have a 30 minute break. You’ll see a group of upper management girls being very unprofessional, it’s like imagine a mean girls click.

This place is horrible. While working here, I was over qualified for the position, and the supervisors saw that like a problem. The supervisors had an extremely thick accent, while I didn’t I was often put down for it being one of the few workers that spoke fluent English. If you had open cases, it was a basic right of mine to take lunch they had a problem. They also failed to realize we have families and they did not care. The days they knew you were having a rough day they purposely applied more pressure. They would listen to your recorded calls out loud in front of your peers like nothing. It brought joy to their hearts to embarrass and be little people. They would treat us like dogs offering us food for the impossible, and if we didn’t do the impossible there wasn’t any food mind you the company mandated 2 meals a month for employees. They did not care you would work endless hours
