What is the best part of working at the company?
You can get all the overtime you want, co workers are helpful, and most residents are  copacetic. I have so much fun meeting people and the families bring plenty of snacks lol! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When you loose someone that you have grown to love, it’s like loosing one of your family members.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
We are family and we take care of each other, even though we either born here or from other countries we building respect for each other, we care for each other and we build relationships for life.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You do your assignment and if you need help open your mouth and ask, if you see someone who needs help, help them.

Enjoyed going to work every morning to Fullfil my assignments. Knowledgeable and pleasant team players at HSL. Admission Director and his employees are comprehensive, supportive and easy to work with. Great communication among different disciplines and providers for the safety and the medical improvements of each patient. The heartfelt works of the MACU medical team helped many ventilator patients with other complication to add to the " Success Story" list of the unit, before transferring to a Rehab place for more success or go home with services.Wonderful Palliative Care Team willing to support: patients, family members and employees.
Unfortunately,  I did not have help in my department.

I love Hebrew Senior Life. I will probably. never leave! Working both campuses can be challenging, based on the population and setting demands alone, but staff and managers help provide support for effective productivity and work goals. Great place to work fresh out of school or well into your career. Workload is challenging and fast-paced, including on weekends. Per diem pay increases are not very frequent but if you can work weekends, there is lots of opportunity to work. Time is alloted in your schedule to get acquainted with the flow before taking on a "full" caseload.  Would be nice to have more opportunity for in-services either on-site or remotely, especially for staff who work part time or per diem.

I worked as a Nutrition Assistant for 2 years here. The job flow itself is okay, it's the same thing every day- taking patient orders, phone calls, and printing paperwork. The people in the kitchen were great it was like a family in there. The pay was good especially in college. You can do your homework or bring whatever to work when your duties are done. I was in an office with the dietitians, all of whom were eager to help if I had any questions. I had no problems with management they weren't dismissive or overly critical.

The company management show respect to all employees 


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part is when there is a fall that can be prevented.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They don't judge base on people culture. They accepte people from anywhere.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Always busy over there; in the morning when getting some of the residents up for breakfast. Also, in the evening when residents want to go to bed.

Hewbrew Senior Life is a Continuing Care Retirement Community set on 162 acres of land in Dedham, MA. Everyone working at this facility comes together to reach a common goal of resident and customer safety and satisfaction.

I work amongst a large group of maintenance engineers who treat each other more like family rather then co-workers. We all help one another complete tasks through out the day ensure that everyone's needs are met in a timely manner.

Management with in the organization is very understanding and compassionate towards their employees needs and more often then not are found rolling up their sleeves to help those in need.

SAVE YOURSELF! GO ELSEWHERE!! I have been a Nurse in a LTC setting for many years and I have NEVER had an experience like this before. You are basically thrown out to the wolves and expected to learn everything on your own, which is ALOT, without any help from managers or co-workers. They set you up for failure and even though you are giving it your all they fire you without any notice!! This happened to not only me but another nurse that started the same time as I did. The workload is way too much for 1 Nurse so basically its sink or swim!! Management is TERRIBLE!!  No communication! You will regret it if you decide to work here, mark my words!!!

Working at Hebrew SeniorLife has the benefits of a nonprofit mission but none of the pitfalls of working at a typical nonprofit. The reasons are many: well-defined departments that support each other, a culture of professional development and promoting from within, great work-life balance, and people who really are at the top of their fields helping push the organization further. Fellow employees are all here for the right reasons, motivated to make the lives of older adults better and change how we think about aging for the better. 

Very nice place to work, Provide resources ,equipments and materials for patients and residents care, provide good meals and well nutritious snacks for patient and residents. But one thing I did not like is the managerial style in that place. Kind of laissez-faire style. No respect within employees, especially from CNA, it is very hard to tell an CNA to just do his/her own duties. They do what they want, what please them, and who are you to talk to them as a nurse. You are nothing, if you like, you can do the job yourself, and no manager will discipline them.

Resident and certain staff who truly care about the mission and not just themselves

The selfish and non caring management and leadership

Pins and needle and very click and selfish

Hostile and long and unwelcoming
