A typical day at work varied from day to day. Particular department wasn’t as organized.  Trainer (who interned for company prior to being hired), was good however trainer was taking on new tasks and training so I didn’t get enough sufficient training.  Some situations were case by case so couldn’t train until “it” occurred. Supervisor showed favoritism and was not as patient,  or available. You are expected to know how to do things once and have to be ready for immediate change of what you just learned. Excel reports, programs, intranet, etc. Everything had to be done at the same time (time sensitive within 40 hours no overtime); although you travel to all three locations to watch over certain visitors (such as vending company, pest control, cleaning, misc maintenance), and being at your desk handling questions and concerns from engineers, planners, accounting requests, running reports daily, misc requests, switching out rolls of paper towel (because the bathroom is out of paper towel), and many other things you weren’t aware of as part of your role. (Now you know). You have to have a handle on this in over 90 days which is not sufficient time for someone crossing over from a different industry or new to the company. I would say a good time is 6 months to 1 year for someone to be completely comfortable. People are nice. I enjoyed the food days/parties, early morning snacks. There are perks such as insurance is ok, company oriented events, announcements-promotions.

All aspects of injection molding are covered after what seams like to long for certain employees they will train you on things that can advance your position with the Co. Whether it be material, maintenance or shipping receiving etc.
I learned a great deal about injection molding the processing aspect and how to trouble shoot small issues, I learned the most about the material systems aspect.
So co-workers are great others not so hot like any other job
When in comes to management most supervisors are very enjoyable polite willing to engage in conversation, the plant manager is very cool for the most part. I will for warn you now if you get into the company and are hired for the material systems technician job be very careful the supervisor or head of that department is a snake and will not like if you can out work him he wants to make sure you know whose the boss. I am doing my best to not be bias and give an honest review and I feel this must be included. I spent over 3 months completing the training in that time ive seen over 4 people come and go in his dept. 
As for hard parts none of it is to bad as long as your willing to apply yourself, work hard and be there you'll be okay. Ive heard people say its a bit fast paced but I didn't mind it.
The best part about the place is their willing to train it just takes a very long time to get to that point for some

First off, they only bring people on board thru a temporary service and I worked way pass my 90 days as a package operator and was not hired on. So I moved to an open material handler position where the lead if he don't like you he won't train you, I was told to do tasks that was out of my job description.

I did my work to high standards, did what was asked and was there for 5 months but, was not brought on as a regular.

The tasks of Hellermann's Material Handler position is fairly easy but the lead will make it seem very hard to cover his slack. 

You want be able to go to the manger about any issues because the Material Handler lead emails him constantly stating he is training you but he is not.

All other departments outside of a Package Operator is small consisting of only a few employees each and Package Operator is the lowest paid of all departments even after being hired on.

Its a lot of good companies out there I'll say try a little harder and you'll find one better then this one.

Hellermanntyton is a company with very great potential for continuously expanding. However, a job there isn't secure seeing that someone is always getting fired, sometimes 4 or 5 people in just one week. Temporary workers have been known to work for almost two years before getting hired. Management plays favorites and gives promotions to only employees who they like. Beware of working too hard. It will get you no where if the bosses don't like you. Sometimes You may find yourself training a new employee who will advance to higher positions before you. Or despite your many years, knowledge and experience at the company, open positions could still be given to people from outside the job who have not proven themselves to be good candidates for those positions let alone have any knowledge of the position itself. So its best just to avoid a slap in the face and not even look in helletmanntyton's direction.

Certain areas/people are not so professional, HR department is a joke since things were changed drastically (they'll let you go, but not give you all the information you should get and it's like pulling teeth to get a response since you don't work there anymore - outta sight outta mind I guess), communication is very lacking (think silos of information) - they can't even respond when it's regarding something that affects you personally (it's easier to ignore because hey, it's not my problem), rampant favoritism (those who are yes men/women and never speak up will get ahead, even if they are not as good at their job compared to others). Pay was good, benefits were good, hours were ok, and you could definitely learn things (but that depended on your boss as well as coworkers and how you were perceived - otherwise it was all up to you to REALLY learn things). Overall I'm glad to have worked there so that now I know what NOT to look for in my next job.

I worked real hard for the company.  Never missed any days and always made my numbers everyday and the bay they had us working in did not have working air conditioning for about a year and it was super hot and uncomfortable in there to work.  The training was just showing you what to do one time and throwing you out there.  Even among all the chaos I did the best I could do and I was moved from hand pack to machine operator in a matter of weeks.  The automation machine's were new to me and I was not shown how to fix the problem and when I called a tech for help they hardly came or they came late, which would leave me with a whole bunch of scrap to hand pack.  You then are having to do the machine's job and your job.  Also, you are required to work every other weekend and that is stressful too with even less people to help you.  The people there are not really nice.  It was a lot of drama between the employees which in turn caused drama between some of the management and employees.

What is the best part of working at the company?
If you are friend with the leader you can be in your phone all day or talking to your friends without problem and the leader send you help so you can talk freely. The leader will train you to do the easiest job there because you are her friend. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
If you are not friend with the leader she will send you to do the hardest work there.  She even talk to the others workers and say don’t help him. She will hate you and be disrespectful to you. Only friends have benefits. You not aloud to complain because you are not friend and the manager doesn’t have time for you. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very bad. I will not recommend it.

Working to do my best but the manager doesn’t care because I am not his friend.

I'm disappointed. They only trained me about 4 days for my position then just tossed me in the field expecting me to know everything. I even express that I still need more training. Had to figure how to fix  things on my own by learning from other co-workers that is in different job positions. The company did not provide a list of tools or hand tools to help me be successful in my role. Then they get mad at me of why I'm under performing on my duties. I guess thats what happens when upper management lets the money get in their heads to put in the pockets. How about learn to invest in workers that keeps the company running.

Hellermanntyton is an ever growing corporation with an average employee turn over rate, good benefits and chances of promotion. Management there isn't very proactive in terms of employee and workload balance. Some coworkers are just everyday people coming to earn a wage and make ends meet, while others try and form a real working career there through promotions. The job isn't difficult as it is repetitive. Most people working on the floor at Hellermanntyton find joy in bonding with each other to form partnerships and work based relationships.

Some managers were out of touch, gave unclear expectations, and didn't take time to include me in important conversations regarding project difficulties.
