The tenure of the staff in our hospital makes it for a complete family environment. There is no such thing as an executive door that divides front line employees from the administrative team of the hospital. This big family environment extends also to the many physicians who have provided care for their patients in our hospital. Very committed staff who give of themselves every day in order better service our community and our patients. Many of our employees started off as very young working individuals who successfully escalated the professional ladder within their own hospital. Others began as hospital volunteers or clinical students. Our main force is the patients we serve and as for the management team there is a great focus on employee well-being and the importance of a balance between personal and professional life. We have a welcoming culture which extends to our patients, visitors and prospect employees. I am very proud to be a part of the Hialeah Hospital Family.

A typical day in Emergency Room at Hialeah Hospital looks more or less like this. After arriving and greeting all our colleagues, we take all the measures to prevent cross infection, take care of non- disclosing any private information related to our patients, and the charge nurse assigns the patients. The report about this patients is received from the previous shift and then, a one by one complete assessment is done to make sure that every patient is stable and the medical orders are been follow. Everyday is a new learning experience as every patient comes with a different complaint and every disease manifest in a different way depending of the patient previous condition. The most enjoyable part of the job is when we can make people feel better and satisfied with the medical care received.

Every one is friendly, is like a big family. It is definitely a different place compared to other hospitals,an organized institution. 
Except there are selected groups in certain areas that can make you feel out of place and this groups will make you uncomfortable.
Very clean. Employees are there for very long time.
The unit managers are great
The cafeteria personal is great, overall all the nurses are great and well educated when it come to human kindness.

this place is depressing, gloomy and gross and the service is atrocious. everyone is and looks lazy. they don't do their jobs correctly. treats their employees terrible. during this corona virus they have their workers working hours without increasing pay when I know a couple of their staff have gotten corona. they cut hours without letting their workers know. puts only one worker for the shift yet expects them to get a 2 to 3 man job done fast with no room for a break or some extra help. this hospital should not be the face of hialeah. or maybe it should be but for the worst hospital yet.

My duties/responsibilities as a radiological technologist intern was learning how to take x-rays.  As a clinical intern, I completed 600 hours, required by the university I attended, and for the ARRT Certification.  It was a rewarding experience, learning from the certified x-ray techs.  Within to months, I gained the x-ray techs trust, and was allowed to take x-rays on my own.  This was also a rewarding experience to have that one on one with patients, by introducing myself, doing patient interview, explaining the x-ray that was going to be administered, and taking the x-ray.

It is a positive environment and multi culture 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
6 am start to which I mostly start as a scrub tech or circulator. Then I co ti ur to do next day schedule changes and reconciliation of charges . Lunch reliefs and help wherever needed until time to clock out by 4 pm

Great fluid of patient. The hospital have a big volume of patients

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
In emergency you have diferente case. Diferent patología. And complete diferent procese

Managment doesn't care about patient/nurse Ratio. Too many patient for the workload makes it dangerous to lose your license or even worse hurt a patient by making a mistake. They only care about getting the patient out and moving another one into the bed. very high levels of stress not a pleasant place to work. Also everyone speaks spanish so if you don't you will be left out. Things are never where they are supposed to be and you will lose a lot of time just trying to find what you need or a working machine. 

I worked in the rehab department in Hialeah Hospital. It was my first job after completing my CF and they provided me with adequate training and support in areas where I lacked sufficient experience. They are also very flexible and willing to work with you when it comes to scheduling and personal matters. They are very ethical and provide excellent level of care. I would highly recommend the rehab department to employees and patients!

Typical day includes splitting caseload for inpatient, evaluating/implementing treatment plan. Follow up visits. Performing modified barium swallow studies as needed. Seeing some outpatients in outpatient clinic area for evaluations/treatment. Management is great and really has your back. Hardest part of the job is that there isn't a huge caseload consistently to which productivity requires you to be sent home, affecting your hours. Thus, affecting your paycheck.
