What is the best part of working at the company?
Working remotely at Hollis Cobb Associates had been very convenient for me and my family.  Hollis Cobb Associates thrust far has proven to be a workplace where you may have an opportunity to sharpen your skills for the next opportunity.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unawareness due to lacking of training or availability of resources. I have faced challenges related to leadership, and it can be difficult to be understood when leadership is not equipped with the necessary skills to lead effectively. I have been tossed from one assignment to the next without proper training and guidance, all while having the expectation of delivering exceptional work. The compensation is marginal and has room for improvement.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is liberal at most, however there are situations that are disregarded and that are misunderstood. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Normal with stressful situations.

There are stipulations to this company like being in your seat from 8am-10am and one Manager that is referred to as "Drill Sargeant" even says you cannot go to the bathroom during those hours. Management and team leads are so busy trying to impress upper management that the staff get thrown to the wolves. Don't mention that they will not advocate for you once your project changes to something you have no idea how to perform. You will be a jack of all trades with this company with no pay increase. They will tell you that you are training, but in truth they just put you on a client and ask you to figure it out yourself. The only thing this company has going is your hiring salary and the staff are cool people. If you take this position, watch out because you may not be there long. It's a red flag when a company doesn't have senior employees and everyone is just hitting there 6 months to a year mark....if that!!

I worked here for a while and it was horrible. I stayed for my hourly rate which is pretty decent in my area. They are completely unreasonable. Nothing you do will ever be enough. I’ve never seen a job where coming to work and doing your job isn’t enough. Literally, it is a very simple job that is made complicated by management. You’re not allowed to talk, get up, laugh,  or anything besides look at your screen. There’s no vacation time. PTO that you earn is barely one day for a whole month. They do not value their employees nothing is more important that that job. At all. There’s no sick time, so don’t get sick. You won’t get paid and PTO will not be enough to cover you. Usually a day before a holiday we would leave early but once again we would HAVE to use our very small amount of PTO. People never stay, they either quit or get fired. No ethics. Just horrible.

This company is good to gain some experience and to move on there's no room for growth the management is very unhelpful and unmotivating it's all about making money for that company there is no moral for the team anyone is subjected to be fired at any given moment for any given reason the only good part about it is you get to sit down and air condition the pay is fair but for how much money you bringing for the company you almost wonder are you being paid well enough this is a collection job so any other fancy titles for what you will be doing is irrelevant because it bottom line boils down to collections. Most of the employees complain about their jobs daily a lot of them will not do anything about it some have

Working for HOLLIS COBBS ASSOICATE was one of my best experience.  I was a great worker due to the having the best bosses, supervisor and teamplayers in this company.  
No one was beyond themselves.  We all worked together and work hard which made this company successful.  If I moved back to Georgia I would not hesitate to go back to where the atmosphere was pleasant to show up everyday on time and stay late just cause.  That place was a place where I did not just do it for a pay check I did it because I learn and love the game of billing and found that a person of my age could always learn new things and use it for my future.  If anyone know about medical billing or collection I would recommend to put in an application there.

My experience with Hollis Cobb was not a very pleasant one.  I felt like I knew more than most of the upper management did.  I also felt that the wait time to gain access to all the tools needed to do the job was just ridiculous and cost the company in lost revenue and good employees who actually wanted to work.  I've never been in training where the trainees were actively searching and applying for other jobs outside the company while they were training new employees.  That was a red flag for me.

Terrible company to work for. No one is allowed to leave their seats until 10am, you'll get written up or fired if you go to the restroom. Comparable to prison, upper management will yell at you if you're not making them their money. This company allows managers to sleep with their employees which causes favoritism and the most professional employees end up being fired because their not part of their clique. The computers are always going down and the phones rarely work, but they expect you to meet goal and have atleast 200 calls daily. Impossible to do when your system and equipment don't work. This company will fire you when you return from vacation, eventually they will find a lie or excuse even if the vacation you took was approved or PTO. Dont waste your time.

I was recently employed there. Possibly the worst job I’ve ever had. Micromanage is an understatement. Goal is impossible. Supervisors constantly tell you to push for more money, then write you up for pushing for more money. There is no real training after your initial training. Your initial training is actually a whole bunch of information that doesn’t pertain to your actual job. People get fired to cover for poor management. Management is very unprofessional. Personal information for “patient” or mishandled via personal text. Your payments for accounts are often stolen by senior agents. They hide larger balances for agents they want to have them, making reaching your goal impossible. 

Director and CEO treated people like chess peices. He offered a position of supervisor on a team without having compensation in hand and tell the employee he was working on the compensation. Also stated each team would have a supervisor  and a project manager.. Then hire additional managers/supervisors which make additional humiliation and say there will be no lead position available. When confronted about the issue, your just another seat filler. Life lesson learned do not take a higher position unless your willing to fight for what you're worth. This company has a high turnover with highly qualified people. Upper management does not respect the people they hire. 


What is the best part of working at the company?
Direct Management Support. Working from home, no micro- managing. Encouraging motivation, opportunities to advance. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lower pay then other companies, time restrictions. Minimal to no Overtime allowed. Ins coverage could be better. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Virtually.  Very comfortable. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Lots of work. Follow up on insurance claims. Learn by my mistakes. Try to review my work, without feeling rushed, because time gaps are a no no. Trying my best and learning along the way.
