Hopebridge

Hopebridge is a great place to get on your feet career wise or financially. You only need a high school diploma to work here, so making 16-17.50 is a decent starting pay considering educational requirements. They do offer good PTO and decent health insurance. If you love working with kids, you will love this job. If you don’t like working with kids, this probably isn’t the best option for you! The environment is fun filled, fast paced, silly, hilarious, and overall positive. The kids brought me so much joy in my time at this location. 

On the other hand, here are some things that should be considered as well. They weren’t deal breakers for me, but they are for some people. 
1. It is somewhat difficult to use your paid time off. Due to understaffing and coworkers calling off work frequently, sometimes you won’t find out if your PTO was approved until the day beforehand. This makes vacations and events difficult to plan. 
2. Sick days are a bit of a mess. You get 9 sick days before termination per ROLLING calendar year. Make sure you understand their sick leave policy thoroughly before using your sick days. There are a few things that make sick time tricky, so do your research here. 
3. Lack of communication. Upcoming changes are kept secret until the last minute when the leadership team informs the rest of the staff of changes that are set to happen. RBTs who have befriended management will be let in on these changes but everyone else is out of the loop. Don’t expect clear communication regarding some of the training contents, schedule changes, clinic changes, or assignment changes.
4. Lack of support. Management will always try to make you FEEL supported. However, a lot of times they won’t/ can’t support you in the way you need. Be aware that this is a business first, which means money/management/corporate will always come before you and sometimes even before the kids. To support you, they might provide lunch, do an outing, do raffle drawings/employee of the month (inconsistent), however, what we really need is a pay raise, time off, someone to advocate for us to corporate regarding to leveling up to get a pay raise, a consistent schedule, a quality cleaning team, better behavior assistance, and better training for new hires. 
4. Extra expectations to be aware of: You will be expected to clean one area of the clinic per day, maintain supervision records (can be a hassle), chart daily, float periodically (unassigned to a client and will have an unfamiliar client every day), and attend weekly or biweekly Friday morning meetings at 8. You may need to come at 8:30 or stay until 5:30 for certain kids. 
5. Certain areas of the clinic are sometimes very chaotic to the point of causing a meltdown for your client, possibility of aggression from your client, and at times causing injuries to staff or clients. Someone needs to lay down the law of what is acceptable behavior in shared spaces, and it is the RBTs job to reiterate those rules for their client. 
6. Turnover rate is high. Some people won’t tolerate the cons, the poor training methods, the gossiping, etc. and quit. This puts pressure on the other RBTs, as it makes it harder to use PTO, requires us to mentor new hires more frequently, makes manager less available as they are continuously hiring, and creates a negative feel for RBTs. 

This section refers only to RBTs who are becoming BCBAs:
1. There are constant changes in the fellowship program. As soon as you become comfortable and on track with a new change, they change it again. 
2. No one really knows what’s going on. On BCBA will tell you one thing regarding fellowship, and you’ll hear differently from the other BCBAs. This is SO stressful because you might think you’re on track and then hear from another BCBA that you are definitely not on track. When you reach out to advisors/directors, they make you feel like you are incompetent for not understanding what’s going on. 
3. Unrestricted hours are off the clock until you are a case manager. 
4. Some fellows fly under the radar and don’t receive the same support, attention, acknowledgement as the others. 
5. The fellowship program directors forget that you are working a challenging job 35-40 hrs. Per week, doing grad school full time, and have a personal life. They expect you to devote all of yourself to this program. 

This was lengthy, but I wanted to provide a more thorough/accurate review. These things would not have kept me from working here, I just wish I understood these things sooner. I hope management/corporate can help the RBTs be the best they can be by working on these areas. Overall, this is a great starter place to work. Even with the cons, I have gained so much from working here. So much joy, skills, patience, and confidence. Remember why you work here, advocate for yourself when needed, advocate for your client when needed, do your chore, ask allllll the questions, and be understanding of management and leadership as they have gone through several changes lately. 



I like working as an RBT, and I think Hopebridge is a great way to get your foot in the door (easy onboarding and they pay for your certification). 
When I first started at HB we had a lot of extra people on the floor, every patient had their own two therapists, therapists were able to get 30 minute breaks if they wanted, and the center seemed to be doing well. However this is no longer the case, we are severely understaffed and the problem is only getting worse as working conditions continue to go downhill. Despite already being understaffed management is still scheduling evaluations to take on more cases. It has become difficult to get even a 15 minute break for a nearly eight hour day and the nature of the job is incredibly difficult. You have to remain calm and collected in distressing situations, pick up kids, run with or after kids, get down on the floor with them, and while I don't mind doing any of this it would be nice to have 30 minutes to decompress at some point but that is not possible. Understaffing has gotten to the point that it is interfering with patient care as many patients have to be cancelled because there is no staff for them, many patients do not have consistent therapists or care and are not progressing or even losing progress because of it and it is difficult to see happen as someone who is passionate about the job. 
Scheduling is constantly being changed, sometimes you are given no notice beforehand as to what patient you will be with. Some patients are with a different RBT every day and get no consistency. Sometimes we have floating staff and a kid who's appointment has been canceled is then invited back after the floating staff has already been scheduled to give breaks with very little warning and the breaks have to be rescheduled or you just don't get one. 
Not every staff member is safety care trained as HB will only give you this training if you are a level 3 RBT (you do not get a pay raise for leveling up so there is no incentive to do so, you don't really get a pay raise for anything really as HB is profit driven) or if you are on a case that "needs" safety care training, I put that in quotations as I feel that any child could exhibit any behavior at any time and we should be prepared for that. It is also not fair to those on special cases when no floats are safety care trained and it is harder for them to get breaks, often the BCBAs have to take time out of their own busy days in order to provide breaks for these RBTs. 
The BCBAs are all wonderful! They are so kind and really making the best out of a poor situation. My coworkers are also amazing and all trying their best to do well and being very flexible, everyone is encouraging and kind. The center coordinator and center manager are trying, but are very disorganized. The center coordinator also once said that we would just have to get used to working without breaks, which I think is a poor attitude to have and was disrespectful. To whatever HR person is reading this please imagine running and jumping and regulating emotions for another person for nearly 8 hours straight for five days a week with only two weeks of PTO and not getting a break. This is also the only paid sick time, and also if you get sick more than 9 times in six months (you are working with young children who are building immune systems, and also they never close for bad weather, I drove on ice and damaged my car because I was worried about being fired due to attendance) they will fire you. For some reason they always say to put in time off ahead of time to not get a point, I'm not sure how I am supposed to plan ahead for being sick. The pay is abysmal, they are the lowest paying ABA clinic in the area (starting pay is $18, living wage in Asheville is nearly $23, even our most experienced RBTs are making under $20 as fair as I'm aware). Management is constantly responding to complaints by offering free food which is nice and all but feels more like pacification as they continue to refuse us breaks or better pay.
Through all my complaints I love how rewarding the job is, I love how passionate the BCBAs are, and I care deeply about my patients and if you are willing to look past the fact that Hopebridge corporate places profit over both patient and RBT wellbeing, it is an incredibly rewarding job with some really amazing people. 

When you start with the company, you are trained well and employees are willing to help you. In order to provide 1 on 1 therapy with patients, you must obtain your Registered Behavior Technician credential. Everything needed to get this credential is paid for by the company. Once you obtain that credential, you are basically a substitute therapist until you get your own caseload. However, if management doesn't need you to substitute for an absent therapist, you will be asked to come into work late or asked to leave early. To explain this further; if you are not needed for a morning therapy session, you would come in for an afternoon therapy session, if needed, and vice versa. If you're not needed, you don't come to work at all. You do have the option, sometimes, to ask another therapist to cover your therapy session so you can get hours and they can leave. Once you have your own caseload, you get more consistent hours as long as your kiddos come to their therapy sessions. But, if they are absent you do one of the options I listed above. If your kid misses sessions consistently, management will do everything they can to prevent that kid from being discharged so they can continue to bill for them. They don't care if you get your hours or not.
I loved this company when I first started, the kiddos are amazing. However, there is a huge lack of support in management. Management spends their time worrying about billing to get their money, rather than ensuring that their patients are getting quality therapy. You really have to rely on your other coworkers to help you out if you have a problem with your kiddo. While having coworkers that support you and care about your kiddos just as much as you do is amazing, they can't give you long term solutions on what to do for your kiddo. You will wait weeks and even months to get updated programming for your kiddo, when management is right there and is fully capable of assisting you. Management is always behind on their paperwork due to not having anyone to assist them in keeping up with everything. Management does not follow through with the company's sick policy for their patients so be prepared to work around sick kids. There is no room for advancement within Hopebridge unless you are in a graduate program for ABA, speech or ot. You will hit a cap on your raises because they won't let you make more than a Trainer. Many of the clinics still do not have speech or OT services available to their patients. You get 1- 30 minute lunch break.
Overall, I enjoyed working with my kids on my caseload, however, management needs some serious work. I think if management would hire more employees to specifically assist them in keeping up with all of their paperwork and billing, things may run a little smoother. This job is very challenging but it's definitely worth seeing your kids make progress. I get that every company needs to make their money, however, the kids on your caseload will most likely have maladaptive behaviors and sometimes they are extreme. In order to improve these behaviors and ensure that the patient and yourself are kept safe, management has to tell you what protocols to use when a maladaptive behavior occurs, you don't make protocols yourself. I was told to fill out incident reports do to one of my patient's self injuring, 1. to document it for the company's sake AND 2. so that insurance would see that he still needed to attend Hopebridge so they could bill for him more. I didn't mind the maladaptive behaviors, however, when you bring it to the attention of management they just wave you off. Depending on the nature of the maladaptive behavior, the patient and YOU are at risk for getting hurt. If they continue to wave things off, they're going to end up with a lawsuit from a patient or an employee because someone is going to end up seriously hurt. You implement their behavior and treatment plans BUT, you DO NOT create them, management does. If management will not stop worrying about money long enough to take the time to speak with you about ways to help your caseload, how can you make progress with your caseload? How will you know what to do if your patient engages in a maladaptive behavior?

This is the most chaotic and unorganized company I have ever worked for. Being an RBT is stressful enough without complete mismanagement being stacked on top of things. You're thrown onto the floor by yourself before you even get your RBT even though you are not supposed to treat without at least another BT present. They tell you someone will be with you so your time is billable, but they pull the extra BT away to go cover, leaving you alone on the floor to treat with no BT credentials. Once you do pass you're immediately started on 2 different kids than who you've trained with, you usually find out who you're working with that morning. Sometimes you'll have 5 kids in a day. It's incredibly difficult to learn a BSP at the same time as trying to treat a brand new kiddo. The BSP should be gone over multiple times before you're even with the kid to ensure you know their program. The kiddos are only supposed to have the 2 consistent therapists with the change every 6 or so months. This is not the case at hopebridge. You might cover a kid for all of 5 minutes that day and you're still responsible for writing the insurance note. They're constantly calling BTs in from other facilities so these kids are only going to see the person maybe once. The kid isn't going to flourish in their program if they have a new RBT every 30 minutes. They're going to have maladaptive behaviors due to lack of consistency and structure.

You're told when you interview lunches aren't guaranteed, but you can sign up for them. Great!, if you're one of managements favorites. Otherwise good luck getting someone to even cover a bathroom break for you. They hand out lunch breaks to the people that aren't signed up for them just because they're more personable with management. Some people who signed up for a full month of lunches would be given maybe 2 the entire month, when at the same time management would be sending people home. You don't get a lunch because no one can cover you, but there would've been coverage had 10 people not been sent home. You walkie for someone to come cover your bathroom break and no one responds. Ask 6 more times without a response and you get told you're not supposed to be using the walkie that much, but if you need a bathroom break just ahead and walkie and someone will cover you!

Sick BTs will apply for PTO to be sent home early and instead of them going home, they're made to cover kiddos of BTs who weren't sick or asking to go home, but management felt like they didn't need them here so they sent them home. They are constantly sending people home and then complaining about staff shortages. Starting people on with no experience at 18 an hour when other people who had been there for years and almost have their BCBA were getting 14 and 15 an hour. But don't worry, if you're stressed they'll order papa John's and have a potluck later in the week for everyone! 

There are not enough BCBAS to ensure everyone gets their hours. There are more kiddos than there are BTs. Theres literally a quota of how many kids have to be taken on each month so corporate doesn't lose money.  I'm not sure why corporate is so dead set on franchising. If they truly cared about the mission of ABA they would put a lot more time, effort, and money into their flagship building and stop letting it go to the wayside like they so clearly are. Apply to hopebridge if you're passionate about making corporate money, and not aba. Because that's all hopebridge cares about. 

I wanted to enjoy my time at Hopebridge. Honestly, I was so excited when I got started in the hiring process because this seemed like a dream opportunity and job. Now it's been about about a quarter and I'm so excited to be quitting soon.
First of all, the training period was God-awful, but they're always changing it so it may be different when you go in. When I started, it meant getting your 40 hours for RBT certification through these horribly long, confusing, boring and half the time, irrelevant videos. Very little hands on experience, then you take the exam and are essentially thrown into the deep end. My first day becoming certified I had to cover a patient's session. 
Secondly, they are not nearly transparent enough about how much flexibility is required until you get assigned a consistent caseload. My schedule was all over the place and I wasn't getting notice until the night before or day of, and I can't count the number of times my manager has told me that I am on call despite that never being outlined in my job responsibilities, and that's ignoring the fact I am neither getting paid enough nor specialized enough for that to be necessary. Maybe we are just super understaffed and my management is disorganized, but getting asked to come in or stay late unexpectedly is something that was happening on a near constant basis despite the fact I begged for even a shred consistency (or an idea of when I would get some) because I was seeing new trainees get assigned consistent caseloads before me despite being told there was nothing that could be done. Then when I finally did get a patient/caseload assigned to me, I can barely make the 30 hours I'm promised (some weeks I don't at all) and that's with skipping lunches. It's insanity. Not to mention I could come in earlier which the clinic would really benefit from, because we are so crunched for people who are available!
And don't even get me started on the center manager. They have limited experience in the field and quite often have the nerve to tell us how to do our job. They are not a proactive communicator, despite expecting us be. They do not listen when problems are brought to them, just finds some work around to explain why they are right and why your concerns are invalid or do not need a response. Self-righteous. Claims to be a team player but is so, so out of touch with the needs of both the employees and the patients. I genuinely cannot think of many people who sincerely like her or feel supported by them. I try my best to like them and respect them as one of my supervisors, but it is a serious struggle. She makes lots of assumptions and in general infuriates me. But I know it's a hard job and she's working in a different dimension of our business model so I do what I can to give her the benefit of the doubt.
But yeah, by now I dread coming to work. Not because I dislike my patients, being an RBT or anything about Hopebridge's ABA, I just can't stand the work environment, inconsistency, disrespect, and the way I have to constantly be advocating for the bare minimum. So happy to be done. 

Like many others, this was where I got my RBT certification, and the trainers are very well informed and eager to help early on. The kiddos are exceptionally rewarding to work with. Management was very helpful and understanding of life circumstances (sickness, bereavement, etc). In terms of training and learning how RBT life works, this is a good baseline experience.

Now the quirks: 

You are going to be sick a lot. They call it the “Hopebridge Bug.” When one kid gets it, everyone gets it — including you. Be wary if you haven’t worked with kids a lot, that’s how it goes here, especially for a noob like me.

Sanitation is appalling to be honest. There aren’t any dedicated potty training toilets and as such you often have a queue form for both boys and girls restrooms. If there are accidents, which happens with potty training, some people don’t even clean the floors properly and just wipe them up with paper towels. Some candy reinforcers are kept in the bathrooms which is just unsanitary, and on at least one occasion someone actually left a peanut butter sandwich in the bathroom as well (to say nothing about those with peanut butter allergies). I’m fairly certain there was mold on the faucets in the bathroom due to overuse and lack of cleaning, but I’m no expert on that. What I can confirm is that food products are not looked after carefully enough: open candy packets are left unsealed for months on end in the back of shelves, often with candy still in them; refrigerators aren’t gone through periodically like they’re supposed to be and sometimes catastrophic accidents happen mid shift. 

Breaks: forget them. You’re supposed to get 10 minute breaks for every few hours worked, but if no one is available to give one to you and you have no roommate, tough. You’ll even have queues form on the radio for 10’s and even if you request one for 30 minutes straight someone will steal yours the one time you have your hands full with something else. You have to rely on your coworkers nearby in such cases, but if your kid requires their own space, doesn’t like people coming into his/her space or is taking a nap, there is nothing you can do. Your lunch break is chosen mid morning and can be anywhere from 11 to 2:30 depending on need, so you can’t schedule meetings or phone calls in advance unless you luck out.

There are some pretty big policy issues as well. I don’t think parent communication is as good as it needs to be, and even if there are significant issues developing during the day leadership is often hesitant to inform the parents themselves and leaves you to do it at the end of the shift.

It isn’t all bad though: BCBA’s are generally supportive, and this is one of the only clinics I’ve ever been to that didn’t have a “clique” culture. Therapists genuinely try to help each other every chance they get. They’re probably the best part of the job, second only to the kiddos themselves. The facility itself is just unsanitary, and both the facility and the policies that the company uses is not optimized for the kiddos it serves, which is a big disappointment. 

I really want to leave a good review, but can’t.  There is only 1 job in my entire working career that has been worse than this one.  What did I learn?    I learned very little other than this is not a place you want to work if you value your mental health.  Other than computer training, there is no true hands on learning.  You are given the child’s programming, but it rarely tells you how to run it.  The environment for the kiddos is little more than glorified daycare.  It’s about MONEY!   They overstaff so there’s usually downstaffing daily. They won’t hire people to cover breaks, so it’s left to the RBTs when their kiddos are getting other services or RBTs that don’t have a client for the time period if they haven’t downstaffed.  It is absolute chaos on a daily basis.  You’re forced to leave class doors open which is loud and disruptive.  You can’t have true ABA therapy when you can’t have quiet, calm, uninterrupted time with the child.  There is no consistency for the kiddos with the way they do downstaffing.  Even if your client is there the RBT is allowed to downstaff which means someone else covers.  That child may see multiple people during the week who don’t even know their treatment programs.  Even without downstaffing they rotate the therapist relatively often which means any consistency gained is negated when a new therapist has to start all over building a rapport with the client. With the downstaffing issue, it often takes a while before people even get to you to help.  Generally if you’re a RBT giving breaks you go for an hour or more straight and generally you don’t get a break or lunch.  You rarely, if ever, work 40 hours.  The only way I got more than 30 hours is if I waived my lunch period.  

The culture is like being back in elementary school.  It breeds disrespect and fosters tattle tales.  The very people who are toxic are not handled and then they continue to cause morale issues. The environment also creates a lot of two-faced people who will talk about you and stab you in the back the moment your head is turned.  A friend of mine worked here 5 years ago and she said it was the same then.  

The managers are nice people, but in my opinion they are not very effective management.  They’re always doing things like pizza days or other fun stuff, but it doesn’t make up for the toxic environment or the toxic people.  They have favorites.  I never felt like there were consequences for some of the issues created.  People were humiliated and verbally abused. RBTs were disrespectful and allowed to stick their noses in another RBT’s sessions.  In other words, they allowed people to be humiliated and disrespected without any permanent solutions to the problems.  

The day I woke up and didn’t have to go back to work there was the best day of my life.  I had less anxiety and stress, and my mental health was given a boost.   If you truly want to make a difference in the lives of the kiddos you work with, and you want to feel valued and respected with calm, productive, environment this is NOT the place you want to work.  

Working at Hopebridge definitely has its pros and its cons. Working with the clients is definitely the biggest pro. The clients come in each day with a new attitude. When they're having a great day, you have the best day ever! When they're not having the best day, it's okay because there will be others around to assist or give breaks if needed (even if it's just another RBT). The leadership team will be there for you some days, but not all.  It depends on the day of the week and what all has happened. They tend to sugar coat difficult conversations in order to prevent people from getting upset; which is counter-productive. There are days where everyone around will be in a great mood and be willing to help however needed, but there are days where people put you down. There are a lot of great RBT's who leave because of the way Hopebridge works. These days, Hopebridge is just about numbers and making money rather than providing the best therapy for the clients. RBT's who do perform their job well are leaving because they have more on their plate due to RBT's who are not doing all of their duties and it is overbearing. Another pro, is they provide Speech and OT services to make it easier on the parent's of the clients! They can just drop them off and not have to worry about coming back to pick them up to take their kids somewhere else. It is a great convenience. Hopebridge also helps you move up in your career in the ABA field. If you are looking to move from an RBT to a BCBA, this is the place for you! They will provide you with the hours needed to help you throughout your masters schooling. On the other hand, a huge con is the amount of cliques. If you get sucked into a clique, there will be more drama than you would believe. So if you decide to come work here, DON'T GET SUCKED IN!! Remember why you're here; to work with clients. 
Hopebridge has truly shaped the RBT that I am today. I have learned a great deal and have came a long way since I started here. Hopebridge always has people around who are willing to answer questions and provide more knowledge for you in different areas. I will say that you will learn something new everyday! 
Working in this field has helped me realize that I will, one day, want to further my education in this field. I love my job and I love seeing the client's make progress. Working here really makes a difference in how you see things and how you go about things. If you just focus on your client's you will have a very successful career at Hopebridge.
Now into the technical side of Hopebride. You are prorated 88 hours of Paid Time Off(PTO) if you are full time and start in January. However, you have 0 sick time and will have to use your PTO if you miss. After you are out of PTO, you will just go unpaid. They do offer health insurance, vision, dental, short/long term disability, and 401-K. But their health insurance rates are through the roof! Very expensive. For just myself I pay approximately $200 a pay check.  

I really love this job. It is very hard + tiring but I still look forward to coming into work every day. I have been exposed to biting, hair pulling, throwing items, as well as other forms of physical aggression and I feel like I have the proper safety training + support from my coworkers to handle it. On top of that, we have such a caring, kind, and helpful management team that constantly praises us + gives us small gifts to show their appreciation. 

Another positive is that the company also allows fun office events + casual jean fridays + ordering lunch occasionally for the staff. Our management team understands that working with this children can be very hard + challenging and genuinely put effort into planning fun things for us to balance the stress of the position. 

Also our manager is very understanding about time off and I have never had an issue requesting time off or using my PTO. The company rewards all your PTO for the year after 90 days of employment + every year which I personally like. They give 11 paid days off which is generous in comparison to other companies. However I believe that employees of the psychology field deserves at least 1 paid day off a month on top of paid vacation days therefore 11 days a year is not enough to me. 

From a clinical standpoint, I feel supported in this position. I am supervised with a client on a weekly basis and constantly receive detailed feedback to improve along with biweekly meetings with my assigned BCBA. There are chances for advancement both clinically and operationally within the company however these positions are still very competitive and you might have to move to an opening. The company does give preference to promoting internal employees rather than hiring an external employee which fosters loyalty. 

I had my RBT certification prior to starting this job so I found the training materials to be a review and cant speak for the effectiveness of the powerpoints for those that are new to the field. However, every ABA therapist that has started at our clinic has passed their RBT exam so there are plenty of supportive resources provided and if you need extra help with a topic you can easily ask to receive it. 

Even though I work at a great clinic, I have concerns regarding the company as a whole (hence the 4 stars). I do not believe the company pays their employees enough (especially RBTs) and on top of that can be incredibly cheap thus creating more work + stress for the underpaid employees. An example of this is that they have all RBTs do chores. While I don’t mind helping to keep the clinic clean, corporate only allows 15 minutes to write our session note, clean our client’s room, and do our chore before we must clock out. Even with these cons, I truly believe that my clinic’s management is currently doing everything they can to make these barriers less stressful + bothersome. 

The BCBAs are what holds this company together and the company does not see it this way, the BCBAs have to advocate for their clients, RBTs, and ethics code daily. They also have to deal with center managers who very often are inexperienced in the managerial role. Therefore, a lot of center managers don't know how to be good leaders, BCBAs have to deal with center managers meddling into clinical decisions (not all CMs do this), and now the BCBA doesn't just have to advocate for their RBTs, clients, and ethics code, but for their own degree and professional certificate. If your interested in becoming a BCBA for Hopebridge just know, your degree, knowledge and certificate means nothing to them and the salary they offer you will most likely NOT be for just 40 hrs of work, it will also be paying you for the overtime they EXPECT you to do, because your "salary".

Hopebridge like many companies, has an RBT shortage issue, therefore they want to make BCBAs work 1-1 when RBTs use their PTO or get sick. If there isn't enough people to work with the clients, expect to be working 1-1 and doing an entire therapy session. Many BCBAs enjoy working with their clients, this isn't the problem. The problem here is they also expect you to turn your reports in on time, provide support to your RBTs when they need you, communicate to parents, and look over ever single RBT's session note for that day and approve or deny it. There is not enough time in an 8 hr work day to complete all of these tasks when you are asked to work 1-1 with clients due to no RBTs being available.

The RBTs is another issue, they are overworked and this is why part of the job is to advocate for your RBTs. They are expected to work overtime, some of them are scheduled to work with clients 8:30am-5:00pm, these are just times they are to be working 1-1 with the client. Before and after their sessions they are expected to gather materials and clean therapy rooms. Therefore these RBTs are forced to work overtime, and management does not care to address this issue. It doesn't end there, the RBTs apart from being forced to work overtime are also asked if they want to take a lunch break, (due to staff shortage) and many RBTs volunteer to not take the lunch break to help the situation, but this doesn't make it right. This forced overtime and lack of employees to assist with lunch breaks leads RBTs to get burnt out, causing a continued shortage of RBTs and continued barriers for a BCBA to get their reassessments, initial assessments and consult/RBT supervision hours done.

Lastly, Hopebridge makes BCBAs continue to do initial assessments for new incoming clients, regardless of there already being a waiting list and not even having enough RBTs for current clients who have already started services!
