communication from Management does not exist. Nepotism does exist

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There is no typical day. One day could be close to home, next day you can be driving 10 hrs to cover for someone else

Joined as an in-house salesman of small systems...directly from teaching. Was given freedom to develop computer based acquisition systems, industrial based Raman systems and plan the course of future developments. Was stationed for 4 years at the corporate headquarters in France directing these efforts on a worldwide basis

A culture of big promises and no results.  Very little room for advancement; many competent employees have chosen to leave and are being better compensated elsewhere.  Others are often layer off when management can't meet its numbers at the end of the year.

Loved working here the company was very open to suggestions and assistance with community giving. Team work is great as well very open to new ideals and listen to your concerns and help find solutions to issues 

Horiba was a nice place to work, nice people and good products.  But the R&D team is japan based and they are super slow to develop products and you struggle to get your voice heard.  

The work as an engineer at Horiba is broad and can keep you engaged, but the sever lack of middle and higher management means nothing gets done in a hurry and team members don't know what's happening on projects. Pay is ok, but not great. 

Not the type of organization for a motivated employer. Often there is a cultural of apathy and/or waiting for management to acknowledge contributions

nice working environment with great benefits---my bosses gave me tasks and then let me do them at my will and pleasure---always received great performance reviews each of the 17 years of my employment

It's a horrible company not Horriba

Comfortable, opportunity filled environment. Division of multinational Japan- based scientific instruments company. Open, responsive management. Great office is located inconvenient New Jersey commercial area.
