Very much a PMA (positive mental attitude) place to work with very competitive compensation & benefits, & excellent skilled nursing clinicians, utilizing HomeCareHomeBase documentation, located in Mohave & La Paz counties in Arizona, and eastern Riverside & San Bernardino counties in CA, so be prepared for co-workers & patients with provincial, Neo-Con perspectives, and to do a lot of driving. That being said, the vast majority of patients & their family members are appreciative of the excellent care provided by this agency, and many co-workers who recognize & appreciate other skilled clinicians with a good work ethic.

The work is work, some days are good, some days are hard. The best thing about this company is the culture, the commitment, the support, and the "family" atmosphere. It's hard to be in the field seeing patients without feeling a little disconnected from the team, except here, you have a whole team at your fingertips, people who want to do this work and who are willing to help. If you are motivated, organized, and a self-starter, this is a great agency to work for with great flexibility and great opportunities for advancement. Best company I have ever worked for. 

The company has a really lovely culture that is focused on employees. Their philosophy is that when employees are well cared for and appreciated, they perform better and the clients benefit as a result. They're very friendly and focused on education. 

Cons: If you get paid by client caseload you may not make much money when there are fewer clients, The reimbursement also isn't the greatest when it comes to repairs and dealing with wear and tear on your car

Working in healthcare can be hard emotionally and physically but working with an amazing team makes it much easier to manage the difficult days! The team at River Valley Home Health and Hospice truly care about each other and the management team works hard to assure that staff is supported. They live by their values which makes for meaningful work and they promote excellent opportunities to grow within the company. 

Loved working for river valley and loved how close knit the management team was. It was definitely a very good experience. If you have an error on your paperwork, they will discuss it with you and help you fix it rather than just kicking it out like some healthcare places do. I enjoyed working for them. 

This is truly the best company I have ever worked for.  I feel appreciated, valued, and the work-life balance is unbeatable!  They celebrate the small victories and provide consistent training to keep us updated on everything in the healthcare world.  

Nursing staff is disposable. If you speak up, you are targeted. They set people up for failure,  smile to your face,  then strike from behind. 
Management supports poor performers, and overworks everyone (except themselves). 

There is a great deal of conflict between offices in 5 cities. A high management turnover with no clear direction given. Care standards differ from office to office.  

Unrealistic expectations for case managers and management is more interested in their own growth than patient care. Always understaffed with high turn over and burn out.

Helping people navigate the last leg of their life is an honor.  River Valley Home Health and Hospice provides Life Changing Services. Overall great company to work for. They care about their employees
