I have had jobs with other companies prior to landing at Host Healthcare and though I have always been engaged at any company I have worked for in the past, Host Healthcare is just completely DIFFERENT. I find myself wanting to see Host Healthcare succeed in everything we do as a company simply because everyone who works here wants to see Host Healthcare grow just as much as I do! It's amazing seeing everyone working together to get things done and to see the countless shout outs being sent out, posted, and announced around the office just because everyone deserves the recognition. It is truly an environment that keeps you inspired and pushes you to just DO more. Everyone in the office is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure anyone hired here loves it as much as they do. The CEO also works hard to ensure these values are felt by new employees even by him and his interactions with employees. He isn't like a normal CEO who hides away in an office never to be bothered. He truly cares about how the employees feel and wants to make sure they have everything they need to be able to reach any level of success they have their eyes set on within the company. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and everyone who is not afraid to try something new and learn A LOT in the process. I find myself telling people on an almost daily basis that there just isn't anywhere else quite like Host Healthcare.

My travel experience with Host Healthcare has been excellent. My recruiter has been nothing short of excellent, he is so fun to work with. My recruiter is responsive, transparent, and communicates well. He always has his travelers interest in mind and makes sure to take care of them. I have been traveling with Host all of 2022 and my Recruiter has been creative to help meet my needs and I couldn't be more grateful for it! Any time he was out of the office there was always someone covering for him in case I needed something. I worked over the Thanksgiving Holiday and needed a question answered ASAP. My recruiter got back to me within 5 minutes of me reaching out even though he was on vacation and out of office. Host is also very organized and rarely did I run into any hiccups, if I did they quickly fixed it. I have always felt supported by my recruiter and I knew that if I reached out I would get a response. I highly recommend traveling with Host Healthcare if you are thinking of traveling. 10/10 would recommend!

Although I have successfully extended at 2 different hospitals, I have never received an increase in pay, bonus or incentives. 

When compared to my Travel RN peers with the same level of experience, EVERYTIME, I was paid substantially less.

Early on, I referred a friend and was promised a $1,000 bonus but when I extended my contract, my new pay rate was exactly $1,000 less than my previous contract over the 12 weeks. I was told that the hospital was decreasing their rates by exactly $1,000. Again, my peer’s rates were increased mine were decreased. 

Essentially, my “bonus” was my own money that was taken from my new extension...

When I spoke with a manager at Host, he patronized my resume and bragged about his “new house & new truck”. Even the management here is unprofessional. 

AVOID this company at all costs. This company does not advocate for its travelers, it only cares about profit. 

I will not be taking another contract with Host Healthcare. Please heed my warning.

I love working for Host Healthcare! The company matches one's experience, personality and education with a company that fits you. They care about your welfare, support you in the position they place you in and provide professional advice when needed. Host pays well, provides great benefits, reimbursement for CEU's and communicates with you several times a week via email and/or phone. The company is smaller than other therapy contract companies, but it is beneficial since they can be flexible and make decisions quickly on your behalf. The representatives have smaller caseloads so they can manage them more effectively by personally getting to know the therapist. I have worked for larger contract companies and they would forget my profile. I would recommend Host Healthcare to new graduates for their professional guidance as well as experienced therapists to find "just the right fit."

As a travel nurse for 5 years, I have worked with different companies. I have worked with 6 different companies, and Host Healthcare is tied as the top agency. I frequently take assignments with Host Healthcare. I feel like Host has found the right balance between being large enough to have enough assignments around the country while still not loosing the customer-service of many smaller companies. There is no bureaucracy here, special circumstances/accomodations while on the road can get approved in minutes. My recruiter has been transparent about what can be offered for an assignment in term of pay and other perks, and always gives me the best deal. I don't feel like there are secrets that the recruiters or management knows that they are not telling the nurses, which really sets Host apart from other companies.

Do not work for Host Healthcare. It was incredibly stressful and the pay was not as good as other agencies. My contract was extended out by 1 week due to miscommunication between the supervisor and HR at my contracted location. My recruiter supposedly tried to contact them repeatedly. I ended up having to do everything myself. I did not feel supported by Host Healthcare whatsoever. So I was spending for an additional week unpaid. 

On two occasions, they underpaid me and I had to email payroll multiple times to compensate me. I also wasn’t paid time and a half for several holidays such as Easter. This is very unfortunate because I felt like there was so much potential. In the end, it really wasn’t worth being paid significantly less. It’s much easier to find a better more professional agency with competent recruiters. 


In my 8 year nursing career I have never felt more supported, respected, appreciated, and cared for than in my short time with Host. My recruiter is absolutely amazing. She is beyond helpful, always available, constantly checks in, and goes above and beyond her job description. She is so easy to talk to and has become a friend in such a short time. Before starting my very first contract, I had an unexpected death in my family which delayed my start date by a week. Not only was she extremely understanding, but texted me multiple times to see how I was doing, asked if I needed anything, and sent a beautiful flower arrangement to my family. I've been a staff nurse and worked with other agencies. I have never experienced the care and compassion from any other employer that Host has given me (before I even started working on top of it!). 

Host Healthcare is an amazing travel agency and I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with it. I am an ICU nurse. When COVID 19 outbreak was peaking and NYC needed nurses, I only had 6 months of experience. I was desperate to help but every agency that I have applied for turned me down for the lack of experience. Then, I was given the phone number of my amazing recruiter from Host Healthcare, Sarah Anderson. From the beginning, she was very professional and yet very personable which made it easy to work with her. She listened to what I wanted and needed. It took her about a week to get me all set up for a contract to an ICU in NYC. She has always kept in touch with me through the entire process and has always been available to help me and to answer my work-related questions. I love working with Sarah and the Host Healthcare in general. I definitely recommend them! 

Host Healthcare has had a huge positive impact on my life as a recruiter. I never thought that I find a company with the combination on an amazing culture, authentic leadership, and unlimited potential as I have found at Host. Not only have I been able to make more than I ever thought was possible at this stage in my career, but I am also at a company that cares about its employees in a real and meaningful way (especially during COVID) and is always trying to improve. No company is perfect, but Host is aware of where it needs to improve and does a quarterly feedback survey, and leadership shares with the team the actions that the company is taking to improve on a consistent basis. 

Host Healthcare has been a great experience for a travel agency. My recruiter truly listens and the agency is there for its employees. My recruiter advocated for me in so many ways. He pushes to get the best pay rate along with helping to receive the first pick job offers. My recruiter has been very easy to talk to and works hard to meet any need. Despite any obstacles that pop up, he puts in extra time to overcome these. He checks in often to make sure things are still going well. My recruiter comes with the highest recommendation. Host Healthcare overall has been a friendly and stress free workplace to be apart of. I know I’m in great hands working for them.
