The competitive pay, great company culture and remote work environment are just a few of the perks of this job. Advancement is usually based on performance since they hire a lot of top performing and ambitious employees. However, the company has steady growth so positions do get created quite literally every day in different departments. After working at their company for 6 months you are eligible to apply to other positions in different departments. This was one of the ways that I was able to advance and find a team that better suited my skills. Things move fast so you need to be adaptable and a self-starter for many of their roles.

I have had great managers and received ample coaching at this job. They truly do invest in you and they are willing to actively coach you instead of the typical scary sit downs or outright firing you might experience elsewhere. 

The other great thing about this company is its intended purpose - helping small businesses succeed. They help everyday blue collar people and families get their businesses up to snuff so that they can compete in their markets. It really does make you feel good knowing that your job is actually helping people manifest their dreams in the form of their service business.  It makes any of the stress worthwhile when you get to see one of those pros express gratitude and share their growth with us.

The Good: Great benefits, and social opportunities in employee groups. Reasonable pay, if you stay in your lane. A huge range of information available from a variety of remarkably talented professionals with diverse backgrounds.  What was once a solid product with a strong consumer following. A handful of truly phenomenal examples in leadership,  fostering support and growth mentality. 

The Bad: All the disorganization of a newly budding start-up, in a rapidly aging Org entity nearly outside the window of excuse. Verbally abusive, toxic overhead leadership that procreate a silenced environment for some department spaces. 
Dysfunctional HR, with incomplete processes/policies and a shy grip of understanding on ADA requirements.  Weaponized disciplinary actions. Lack of development in relevant training procedures, and an overall unnecessary lack of structure that creates stressful work environments and poor culture. 



I loved my work life balance here and the ability to provide a good living for my family. However, management was awful and misleading. From the interview process I was told " I am looking for a lead car to set the pace for my team, do so consistently for advancement opportunities." I proceeded to break every record they had over 8 years ( daily wins, weekly wins, monthly, quarterly, and yearly wins total), and was tasked with helping train struggling reps, and training new reps. A team lead position opened up and was given to someone else to solely keep my in the position I was in selling for them. So you can make money here, and have good work life balance. However, management is deceiving, misleading, and manipulative. They will take advantage of you as a person even though they preach that as their principles.

In the beginning working for HCP seemed like a dream job! Remote work, great benefits, and good pay. After spending just a few short months working for HCP the dream job slowly became a nightmare. Aside from having good stats and performance, I quickly experienced burn-out from excessive micromanagement.  

HCP also embraces radical political idealogies, with such strong partisan divisions on any issue, taking a side can have drastic consequences. It creates a work-place ''groupthink'' phenomenon, which is when people go along with things they don't even neccessasrily beleive are right because they feel they can't disagree and if they do disagree that employee can lose their job position , aside from being a good employee.

These are signs of a toxic, Cult-Like Workplace. 


By far the best company I've ever had the privilege of working for. The culture is phenomenal due to the amazing people that work there. Everyone has an important role to play, and the accomplishments of the company are celebrated by everyone as a team effort. I came to this organization at entry level, and was soon given the opportunity to prove myself and move up. Even as the team continues to grow, the atmosphere still maintains it's start-up feel, and the energy in the office has not dipped even a bit. I am very proud to be a part of HouseCall, and hope to be a key contributor to its success for many years to come!

The job is cool and the system is pretty easy to learn. With all the bugs and constant changes in the system your customers get upset with you because you can't change it back. Training or assistance from management is slim to none. Take notes and pay attention if not you will be fired just before your 90 days is up. Supervisors come off rude and unconcerned with the struggles of the team or I should say individuals. This is not a team player environment. You can be reprimanded for helping a fellow co-worker. When your frustrated or overwhelmed with  all of the sudden changes in the system and speak to certain managers they laugh and say we started with no training at all and had to figure it out. 

SDR position is a great starting role, but making 200 calls per day when you are given cold leads for the first month of the job can be mentally draining, especially since you're not getting good leads. But during this time you're not no the commission structure because they do more extensive training to help you build your skills and learn how to be effective on the phones. Once you get the hang of the role, you will thrive. Overall it's been my best decision to work for this company, especially as my first sales job.

While there are opportunities to move to other teams and it can seem like a great place to work, the company only cares about money. I have seen two lay offs and both came without any warning. Customers of the company constantly complain about the product and customer service. Like most places some people are given opportunities and more respect even when they are not good at their jobs. I did enjoy my job there but don’t expect to be there long. I did have good management but others do not 

I love this job! I work from home and am in control of my own work. My managers have been great, and they are awesome about approving PTO for doctor appointments, personal days, vacation, etc.! This company truly cares about its employees, and it shows! They are great with constructive criticism and listening to others opinions. Even though we work from from home they still try their best to have meetings on zoom that are fun, friendly, and effective. I would recommend this place to anyone! I actually got my boyfriend a job here and we both work from home now.

HCP is disorganized and stressful. New products are often launched without prior training for support representatives, leaving them unprepared to assist customers effectively. Despite taking on multiple additional responsibilities, pay increases are rare and not reflective of the extra workload.
