My pay and benefits at Houston Precision Fasteners seemed fair when I was hired. But then I discovered the insanity of the owners and knew they could never have paid me enough to work under such oppression.

In terms of job security at Houston Precision Fasteners, I think this is the worst place any person could choose to expose there career to.

Management
In general, managers at Houston Precision Fasteners come in two breeds. Those that are just trying to survive, and those that are just as narcissistic as the owners. Do not trust any of them. They all lie.

Culture
Collaboration with my colleagues at Houston Precision Fasteners is non-existent. It is a dog eat dog culture promoted by its owners and practiced by upper management to keep the owners placated.

Overall
My experience working at Houston Precision Fasteners was unbelievably toxic. Thankfully I escaped it's clutches largely unscathed and intact. Not everyone does. Be wise and avoid this place.

I have been working with HPF for about 8 years now. The owners and employees make it very easy to enjoy your work day while also being productive. Communication is very efficiently and team work is at an ultimate high. Employees are able to depend on each other for support. Benefits such as 401K, medical, dental, vision and other things are really good as well. If you worked here and no longer do, I can respectively say it isn't management and/or the owners fault. Management understands second chances and learning from mistakes which helps improve overall company and self success. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is willing to love what they do while working with opportunity. MARS, space, the moon, military aircrafts and so many other places/things have had our hands on them through our product and I am thankful to be a part of so many "OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD" projects! 

If you are desperate for a job, then definitely apply here, but otherwise steer clear, working at HPF is like working one step above a sweat shop.  The owners/management are terrible, they are only interested in what's best for them.  They make promises to employees that are never kept.  Offer a 9/80 week and then 1 day before it's going to go into place the owner doesn't like the idea anymore and takes it away.  You need to watch your time card like a hawk because they will short you on the hours you work, especially overtime.  There are no benefits offered here. No loyalty, you work in fear of losing your job every single day.

While what the company does is very cool and you're happy to be a part of it, the culture surrounding the company is extremely toxic. There are favorite employees who are connected to management either by friendship or family, and those individuals get obvious special treatment. Moreover, if those individuals do not like you, they will push you out. It is elementary level tactics and strategies with no real brainpower leading the way in any of the spaces there. This is a place where you learn the hard lessons of company culture and what to avoid, not a place where you should advance your career. 

Where to start?? No training. No reviews. No raises. No fun. No development opportunities. No direction. No strategy. No PLANS. Toxic workplace. Full of favoritism and secrecy, the owners literally play employees against each other. These owners wouldn't know transparency if it was stuck to their noses. The two owners are horrible leaders. Not smart at all but think they are really intelligent and will knock down every creative employee idea. They are negative about EVERYTHING. They yell, lie, put people down and will call you out on the carpet in front of anyone and everyone. Avoid at all costs

You will always have work. 
They will hire entry-level and offer opportunities to learn.  Your pay will start low but you have opportunities to bring it up once you have shown that you can take on additional responsibilities. 
You'll get tons of experience with aerospace parts and materials.   If you want to make parts that end up in space its a great place.  They were recognized by NASA and Boeing as a great contributor to the Artemis missions. 


Severe lack of knowledgeable management, no chain of command, production management overrides quality, no benefits, no bonus program, low pay, never will you hear how you've done a good job, owners are more worried about filling their pockets than the well being of their employees, no job security at all, wasted time an effort is what I got out of 3 years working there.

Nepotism, unprofessional management, unethical values, mostly unqualified staff for their positions, poor organization. HPF is ran as a sales company rather than a manufacturing company. This is a place for a job, not a career. If I would have known what I do now, I would have never wasted my time.

Poor management and ownership. Was lied to about what my role would be with the company.  Inadequate training.  Majority of employees are looking for a new job whil working there.  They don’t take safety seriously. You can take a concern you have to management and they won’t do anything. Avoid this company

good company with good people. evryone is good at what they do i have no complains or anything bad to say about the company. they are like family. they are very caring and loving people who own and runs the company. the employees are the backbone of the company and they are hard working people who makes the company.
