HTA has been a career building opportunity for me since I walked in the door many years ago. I have personally moved up in management throughout the years and have watched many others grow and flourish here as well. Managers and Directors always look to promote within before hiring outside which is huge. If you work hard, are reliable, willing to learn and bring ideas and positive energy to the table you will do very well here. Each location is different but all are managed by the same team, making things streamlined. Our therapists have great relationships with administrators at every location and the agency is well known and respected by the municipalities. If you work in education you know that you aren't going to get rich in this field, but that is standard across the industry.

HTA offers a wide variety of cases to tap into all of a Speech-Language Pathologist's expertise.  Although their method of assigning cases (email blast) can take some time to get used to, the Case Managers are wonderful at helping to guide you when you make some tailored requests.  I LOVE that HTA offers a variety of CEU courses to their therapists as well as non-affiliated therapist.  This option allows for us busy therapist to not have to give up a full days work to attend workshops.  The option to network with other SLP's is top notch as most of us are Independent Contractor's who don't necessarily have the opportunity to collaborate with other SLP's throughout the work week.

I worked here for a little over 3 months as an internship. I usually filed credentials into their system, make reports, audit files, and document any other important information as needed. The management here was very considerate and they were very patient with helping you learn. The hardest part of the job is sometimes it’s boring and can make your back hurt, but other than that, it’s a nice  workplace with professional coworkers/managers.

Working for this company is a truly rewarding experience that promotes employee development and provides a supportive environment. I have been very fortunate to be an HTA employee!

I am unhappy with the fact that they don't take out taxes for EI. (Why not?) 
And I have to beg for cases. When they offer a case they don't give you enough time to respond to the text before they give it to someone else. Their system is flawed. And they don't seem to care about their employees. I believe it is all about cutting costs for them. It is exhausting. I work for another agency so I have something to compare HTA to. On a scale of 1 - 10, HTA is a 4.

Very family oriented program that can make a difference on the lives of children with special needs.  The program provided evaluation for children under 3 years of age to determine eligibility. Wonderful program.

The workplace culture is incredibly toxic. The turnover is high because management is a mess. Incredibly unstable atmosphere, with a lot of gossip. People are promoted based on favoritism rather than ability and skill. The pay is insulting, raises are rare if not unheard of, and the “benefits” are a joke. 

All the people who works here are very friendly and supportive to everyone who needs help.

Always willing to provide solution and recommendation to any issues.

Management are very kind and considerate to all employees.

Very professional individuals. office are always welcoming.

Working at HTA has been amazing so far! They value their employees, they are really considerate when it comes to work-life balance. Everyone is always there to help out when you need it. 

An exceptional place to work for, teamwork, accessible and supportive.  Management is accessible to helpful.  Payment is timely and they understand the financial need of all employes.  They have in-house CEUS which are helpful and cost effective,
