When i worked at the job it was fairly easy and enjoyable, the pros is it is repetitive and easy to learn, anyone can do it regardless of skill or training so it's a great headstart for anyone. They are also very generous with offering food in the kitchen and providing help for new employees. The downside to the job is most holidays you will work if you care about that while you do get time and a half as an incentive. Another major issue is that it is hard to get time off for most common reasons because it is mostly overstaffed. In the time I worked at the facility I trained ALOT of new dietary aide and very rarely did they stay and had to repeat the cycle again. Overall if you are good with communication, paying attention to basic detail, and don't mind getting slightly dirty this is a great first step into kitchen work. 

The only positives to this company is the residents you meet. I grew very attached to them and it's a shame they suffer the way they do. Management does not pay well, staffing crisis out of control. You will get stuck passing medications out to a whole unit (75-80 people) with out any compensation. Sometimes a supervisor will take a cart for you, others refuse. You can choose to walk out or continue to put your liscence on the line. Even while employed as a nurse, watched the CNAs suffer as well. They were lucky if they had 2 CNAs to a whole floor, overnights was usually just one. I tried to assist as much as I could, but when you have your own separate responsibilities. Some nurses just accepted taking a whole floor. Management could care less, more money in their pockets. Coworkers were mostly nice as they felt your suffering with you. Not a healthy work environment. One of the lower paying nursing homes in the area, not worth the abuse to the staff and residents. Run. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
We have a new owner all new management. It’s like working with a family every day. We are building our staff, redoing the facility, and we will be the place everyone will want to be for their rehabilitation. Come check us out before sending your loved one anyway else.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Building new staff doesn’t happen overnight

One big family that’s a little closer everyday 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I enjoy my job your not watched every minute your administration staff has faith in you to do the right thing. So you’re not stressed out all the time. They are working hard on making our jobs easier and less stressful everyday.

Work-life balance
Work-life balance at Renaissance Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center is great! They offer 12 hour shifts for LPNs, which makes it possible to be a full-time student (if furthering your education.)

My experience working at Renaissance Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center has been amazing.

Currently, the building has many new, and ambitious leaders across all departments who are dedicated to supporting both staff and residents with achieving the highest standards of care. When I first started, the staff were friendly, inviting, and ready to help me understand my new role. As a manager I have observed some of the most dedicated, and compassionate staff working here many of which have been at the facility for years. The staff here go above and beyond to ensure quality care. 2026 will be a great year for the Eleanor and a proud place to call work. We all love what we do, and continue our journey toward excellence in Nursing and Rehabilitation care. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Fire for no reason. Except so you can't collect your pension. Work hard and they don't  care always working short  residents not getting care they need and deserve. Not saying the amount of money they pay to stay there. Food is terrible.

When owner came is would never talk only to tell you you aren't doing your job. He would never tell me that because I went above and thats my I was let go. Still looking for help all fields

Poor. Moral is low because of owner. When we were told he was coming. It was unreal

I didn't have a problem but the nurses and aides always worked short

The residents who are in desperate need of administration who cares about them

Way to much favortism , workplace violence and manipulation

Work environment was dirty and culture all the same

Stressful from the get from no schedules to fraudulent schedules posted on the daily ,rather than monthly because mostly per diem staff . Fulltime and new employees treated horrible , you seriously need a thick skin . Alot of continuous inconsistencies related to orders and ill education to no education .

Team work, staff look forward to learn from each other.

Sometimes due   limited staffing there is not enough help. One worked extremely hard to reach every resident needs

Its good, staff looks out for each other. The administration reaches out to get staff input in agency needs.

Am always busy, interacting with residents and their family. Everyone look forward to attend and participate in activities.

The weekly paycheck was the only good thing

Outside upper management would micromanage and the housekeeping staff areas a joke

CNAs were so disrespectful of the residents and the place is old and unkept

Running around doing everything that was the nurses jobs

The residents I cared for. The company is money driven and don't place patient needs in consideration. Staff are over worked and under paid.

Staff are very cliquey..if you don't fit in with the crowd, they will treat you like garbage.

Stressful, certain staff members chose the hours they worked and just showed up whenever they wanted.
