I worked at Imagine as a floater & full time teacher, at different centers, and under 4 different directors. Usually fellow co-workers are nice enough. The ones who are truly amazing and care about the children never last long & I fully believe it is because the company is 
1. not managed well
2. doesn't offer enough pay
3. little to no opportunity for growth

They know how to sell themselves and seem like a supportive place, but the facade lasts 3 months, at most. Scheduling was always a mess especially because they don't have enough teachers to maintain coverage. The amount of times I had to work through lunch was ridiculous. They'll compensate for it by buying staff lunch, but people need an actual break 9 hour workdays!

They'll never admit it, but many of the higher-ups discriminate against their staff/others in the community based on race, ethnicity & religion. This also seems to be a common thread in european-american teachers that are hired, too.  The company likes to talk about what they're doing for diversity & inclusion, but it's all shallow and for show.

This is a very busy work day, from changing diapers, feeding the babies to reading books and doing art projects. I have learned many things working at Imagine, like CPR, first aid, how to properly care for a child and teach them a bit of independence. My co-workers were amazing! We always jumped into each others class room when we would notice that help was needed. Very strong team work! The hardest part about this job was keeping up with the children, you need energy to work in this field! There is absolutely no room for laziness. But the reward was amazing! To see all the children happy and smile was a wonderful feeling. To know that they loved you right back was the best feeling ever.

I loved everyday at BSC Kids. The children who attended the program are the sweetest and smartest little learners. They are so creative and cute! I would’ve stayed at Imagine (BSC Kids) forever if I could afford to do so. Unfortunately, however, day care/ childcare workers do not receive the best compensation. That being said, compared to any other early learning center I have seen, Imagine is the most competitive when it comes to compensation. And I enjoyed the overtime when it was offered. I would recommend Imagine ELC to anyone interested in the early childhood field. Just a warning, it may be hard for you to leave once you start because you will fall in love with the place! 

My career path at Imagine has truly been a journey of growth and opportunity. When I first interviewed for the position of 4K lead teacher, I never imagined the incredible chances for advancement that would come my way. Imagine is a remarkable company that actively nurtures talent from within, recognizing those who are passionate and committed to furthering their careers in education. The support I’ve received from upper management has been invaluable, helping me navigate and create a successful path forward. Looking back, I can honestly say that I only wish I had found this amazing company earlier in my career. I’m grateful for everything I’ve learned here and excited about what lies ahead.

I have worked at a few different types of schools over my almost 20 years of working with young children. My experience has varied between inside the classroom as well as in a Leadership role. 

The most enjoyable part of this job is working with the children, staff and families! We have created a warm, open, and inviting workplace for all parties to thrive and grow! Within my experience with management, I truly feel that our staff is treated with the utmost care and respect. There's always help when needed!

Imagine is a great organization that cares about its employees and community.  It proved this commitment when it became an ESOP in 2018. As an employee owned company, Imagine has given each employee ownership, a voice, and a retirement fund! Not only this, but Imagine has spent the past year rebranding, providing more opportunities for staff to get involved in the business and grow professionally, and exciting updates to how we teach children. They have things to work on, but they are trying! It is an exciting time to be at the company and I look forward to the future.

Imagine is a place where not only do children grow but teachers can grow professionally as well. Imagine provides amazing tuition reimbursement for teachers to return to school to obtain their degrees.  Child Care is hard work.  Imagine works diligently to provide a great atmosphere to allow teachers to shine and do their best work.  There is a place for everyone at our center.  Everyone who would like can contribute to the culture of what happens at the center. It is a very collaborative environment.

For the most part working here was pleasant. However, admin did not always stand up for their teachers. I understand parents pay to enroll their child but on too many occasions administration sided with families and did not put structures in place to better support teachers.  The company has personal guidelines that align with the city guidelines. However, the company uses the city guidelines whenever it is convenient to them knowing that the students would be better serviced with the company's personal guidelines and regulations. 

The best part about working at Imagine is the collaborative work environment. As an employee owned company staff are given the opportunity to have their voices heard in many different ways, and are empowered to make decisions about their work environment. Imagine is a fun, dynamic, and growing company that is deeply committed to the staff, children and families it serves.
