I love working at Urgent care! It is such a positive and growing environment. Everyone is so supportive and truly learn so much. It is a place to grow as an individual and medical professional starting out. A typical day at an Urgent can start off slow but in first. you see a lot of sick unhealthy people walk through the door and its important to be empathetic and comforting with them. Know how to properly take their insurance, deal with co-pay, balances on the account or even sometimes having to explain to them that their insurance is no longer active. Also proper sanitation habit are a must here so as to avoid getting sick if your a weak immune system.

Working in this team environment was fun and often very fast paced.  No call, but long shifts and worked weekends most of the time.  Loved being able to name the days I did not want to work.  Did not like not getting the next month's schedule right before the month.  Staff was very helpful and learning the EMR was easy.  Loved being able to do procedures, like suturing, etc.  Doctors were always willing to be helpful and learned a lot from them, especially in reading chest films.

The hardest part of the job is finding time to complete all the required tasks. The hardest part is explaining to the patients why they need to come in for their appointments and that they can't get everything immediately. We are busy and have other things to attend to. The doctors are willing to teach us things if the time allows it. They are always willing to help, but this causes us to sometimes have to stay late to finish everything.

Working along side doctors to help people get better was an amazing experience. It is a Walk-In facility so you never really knew what the patient load would be until the end of the day. Maintaining a full lab, preparing blood work, analysis, etc for testing. I actually did my ex tern ship at the facility and they offered me a full time job after completion.

The doctors there want you to be a 1099 self employed employee and only want to pay you $10 an hour. They say you get 2 15 min breaks plus and hour lunch and YOU DO NOT GET THIS because you are the only one working front and back office. Even when you are not able to take breaks they still deduct it from your pay which is not right. You don't clock in via time clock. You call the dr to do this.

The office was a nice place to work and the owner was a nice person to deal with.  I moved up from a Medical Asst position and worked my way up to Admin with in the company.

Busy everyday, I learned you have to be fast paced but precise. All girls and one boy. Not much of different culture The hardest part about the job was getting patients in and out in timely mannered.

Assist patients with vitals ,blood work, specimen, and x-rays

Took orders from doctor based on patients visit.

The most enjoyable part of the job was how puntual the doctor was.

I have experienced nothing but the best work environment in the Immediate Care. I loved my time spent with co-workers and making a positive impact for our community. It is truly a team atmosphere and am glad to have been a part of it.
