The Credit Union was by far the best place I have ever worked!  I had the opportunity to start at the bottom and work my way up and learn how everything worked.  I maintained the Network, repaired/replaced equipment, such as PC's, printers, routers, cables, monitors etc.  
I learned most of this on the job.  I also managed the imaging system which kept all document on an electronic system for easy and quick retrieval.  The workplace culture had its ups and downs and mostly growing pains.  But as I reflect on it I must say over all it was ahead of its time.  The hardest part of the job is when I left.  I felt like I was leaving my family and in a way I was.  I had worked there for almost 20 years and was leaving a job that I loved.  I won't lie I literally cried and had we not move out of state I would still be working there and would still be loving my job.

Never in my career has the HEAD OF HR used workplace gossip as the basis for my annual review. Promotions were given to people who could golf with execs every week. CEO’s son was given a great job in the company that he is not qualified for. The only way I could afford to live was by working 6 days a week. Do NOT work for this company.

I had a wonderful mentor while at IMCU.  She was wise, smart, and really cared about her staff.  I also learned a great deal about the importance of having a great attitude, which will take you far in life.  We all worked really well as a team - helping each other out.

Worked as traveling teller going to over 20 branches. Was told when hired, many job opportunities and chances to move up. After being there for a year and a half, and not getting any jobs I applied for and getting reviewed by someone that I had talked two twice during my tenure, it was time to find better employment.

Hours are long and you are expected to work 6 days a week.  People often get passed over by someone that is hired in that is related to upper management.  Training opportunity are few and far between and they often hire from the outside instead of promoting internally.  Ok compensation.

Two week training offsite- I believe, You work with someone for the first couple of days to get comfortable. Major Cash Handling! The most enjoyable part was seeing your regular members. The hardest part was remembering all of the transactions. I did not like my workplace culture 

IMCU is a great place to work with an awesome HR team that is readily available to give you all the  training needed for success in the company. Great managers at most locations. The hardest part of my job was getting to work on a snowy day.

It was a good place to work but there could be a lot of drama and politics involved with who they chose to promote and help advance through the company

Good company to work for with great benefits.  However hours are rigid and for being family friendly they don’t offer flexibility in scheduling.  They also heavily frown upon calling in even when you are sick with a doctor note.  Working 6 days a week full time takes its toll.

A typical day would vary in responsibilities from counting in cash shipments, balancing cash drawers, problem solving for tellers that are not in balance, balancing ATM's as well as providing excellent customer service.
