In clinical operations there is much too much turnover. People leave after a year. The expectations for new employees is not realistic and too much pressure to know all details of the study too quickly. Management expects too much, too quickly and treat new employees with contempt and suspicion. There is no real leadership. Sr. Directors do not know what is going on with their studies operationally and infrequently take part in managing them. All levels below them report to them so this is a huge issue. There is no real team structure. People are untrustworthy and are quick to blame others and point fingers. Status quo is paramount and merely suggesting an improvement to a process is cause for you to be labeled a trouble maker. If you try to explain if you are struggling with a task or reaching a timeline you are looked at as making excuses rather than trying to ask for help or enlighten. Leadership rarely takes responsibility for the processes and when questioned on them, direct you to ask another team or person. Overall, the experience there was terrible and I was looking for new employment mere weeks after joining. 

I have worked at many different companies and Insmed beats them with job culture. I really enjoy working at Insmed and hope to be here for a long time. There is no one on our team that does not get along. Everyone is very respectful and kind and communicative which each other. The work life balance is really the best at this company. As a working mom, I do not have to sacrifice my family life or my career and this is the most satisfying thing to have. I truly enjoy the indication I am in and am extremely excited to watch how the company progresses ! 

Insmed is a start-up that is very quickly growing. They are in the process of bringing their first product (Alis) to market by end of 3Q or beginning of 4Q of 2018. It is a very patient focused company that lives by its culture and mission. Its core cultural competiecies are Accountability, Collaboration, Integrity, Passion and Respect.It is a quickly moving and shaking organization that is on a rapid growth spurt. Anyone who joins needs to make sure they can keep up!

Your experience will really depend greatly on your manager. In my experience at least, leadership won't look out for you or contribute if there is too much to realistically do. Saw them throw employees under the bus. My department was a revolving door due to understaffing and poor management. Culture was not great as I'd expected based on other reviews. So good luck getting a good manager, and then you might be okay.

I really enjoyed the most recent contract Project I worked on for Insmed.
Recruiting Department chiefs from both Infectious Disease and Pulmonary to perform a study with 350 patients.

I have seven sites recruited in about 4-5 months work on this project.

Excellent management. Plenty of opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally. Everyone is open and friendly to one another. Felt like I was part of the team since day one. Very welcoming and accepting coworkers. Would recommend as a great place to work.

Wonderful experience working with new therapies and developing treatments that save lives.  I was a SCRA serving as a recruitment consultant creating customized solutions for a difficult to enroll clinical trial.  The project meet timelines and reached its goals with the assistance of my contributions.
