I enjoy working at Inspira, helping others has always been my number one priority.  But Inspira needs to check on the type of supervisors they have running their departments and their management style and improvement measures.   There needs to be major improvements made in ER departments which involve especially wait times.  Their wait time and service quality is bringing their reputation to an all time low.  Inspira Urgent care is greatly needed in Vineland because people need to have a place to go for non life threatening care that will not turn them away because they don't have insurance.  Our ER's are getting way too overloaded for the dedicated ER personnel to handle.  Management needs to wake up and address this just like NJ Motor Vehicle office revamped their office.  What a difference! 

 Also, in other departments personnel are not completing their responsibilities before leaving for the day, which puts their job duties on others to finish up.

Some managers say they want new ideas to handle tasks, but are quick to talk down to you if you mention changing ways to ease the process.  Same managers do not ever give a positive remark on the employee's performance, they only find fault if you handle a task differently than they would.  Wake up, sometimes you need to change your supervisors and get new blood in there that have new ideas to improve a department and morale.
 I suggest that management really do an assessment on their staff.

Also, Inspira doesn't give you benefits even though you could work 19-20 days per month.  They get around it by some loop holes in how many hours you work per week, instead of looking at how many hours you work per pay period.

Hiring process was awful. Didn't even get a proper interview. HR, who had no clue what the actual job consisted of, did the main interview via phone call. Not even a video call. Manager called WEEKS afterward for second interview which lasted about 5m. Again, only via phone call. Never saw anybody in person. General orientation was online. All the information was useless, none pertained to my deptartment. Departmental orientation was also useless. Just videos on how to operate equipment. Never given information of polices and procedures of workplace. Had to guess everything or ask coworkers. Supervisors were not understanding and just burned out. Never got to even meet my manager. Only contact was via email and phone calls. The actual act of doing the job was fine. But it was complete chaos every time I showed up for my shift. Never knew what truck, partner or even station I would be scheduled with. Even though I was hired for Millville station I was switched to report to another location 1hr+ away with no warning,on multiple occasions. Zero communication between management and crew except for emails. Paycheck was incorrect multiple times. Constantly short staffed, which is everywhere with the pandemic. But while already short staffed they decided to aquire more stations which just spread them either thinner. Obviously no concern for employee welfare. Solution wad to just throw money at everything and hope nobody complained.  When I finally couldn't take it anymore and quit, I was told if I didn't finish out my scheduled shifts I would be put on Inspiras "no hire" list. Obviously that was the last of my concerns. If I had to describe Inspira with one word it would be: chaos. 

Inspira is run by an Administration that is detached and distant. The Management is unqualified in people skills, decision-making, and fairness. HR bends the policies as they see fit. Proper staffing ratios are not followed. Managers are all friends, don’t listen or care and have their own agendas, such as their breaks, lunch and bonuses. They always side with patients for that WOW experience. CEO John Angelo is detached, doesn’t involve himself with staff. All departments are under-staffed. Cafe food is terrible and overpriced. Equipment is hard to get. Orderlies are slow, some lazy, not monitored. Breaks and 30 minute uninterrupted lunch almost impossible to take, especially for RN’s and aides. Doctors and residents continuously come in break rooms to ask about patients, interrupt breaks and lunch. OR and ER nurses are rude and aggressive. Same for Dialysis unit staff. All staff is overworked, stressed out. Every year they post an online employee opinion survey which is supposed to be confidential. Every year employees say the same thing. Every year nothing changes. Inspira could be so much more, if the people running it would come out of their little bubbles.

This is a place with a bad reputation and they will continue with their bad reputation if things DO NOT CHANGE. All of the administration and office workers are related someway and it shows! They don’t care if you have worked there since day one the new hires will always make the same or even more. They do not really care about their employees. They try to friends with everyone but then goes and talks being their back. The drama at this facility is worse than high school/middle school. I would not recommend anyone to work here! The pay is the lowest around and they deal with airways. Make that make sense?! I did enjoy the airway experience and learning. That was the only good part about this job. They have high patient:aid ratios because they are so understaffed and they do not care if you are drowning 1:40. When it gets to that point most of the nurses will not help if their lives depended on it. Most of the time you are working two halls by yourself and it is extremely stressful. It took an awful toll on my mental health working here. I can handle a lot when it comes to working, but leaving work crying and anxious is not healthy in anyway. 

This job will drain you physically, mentally, and emotionally faster than you think is possible. You walk in thinking you’re helping people and walk out feeling like a machine that nobody respects. The workload is borderline unrealistic—too many residents, not enough staff, and zero room to breathe. You’re expected to lift, rush, clean, feed, answer lights, and somehow still smile like you’re not completely overwhelmed.

Breaks? Don’t count on them. You’ll be lucky if you get five uninterrupted minutes to sit down, let alone eat. Management piles on expectations but disappears when you actually need help. When things go wrong (and they will), somehow it still falls back on you.

The residents deserve better care, but the conditions make it nearly impossible to give it. You’re constantly forced to cut corners just to survive the shift, which eats at you mentally. And the worst part? After doing the work of 2–3 people, you go home completely exhausted, only to come back and do it all over again.

If you value your mental health, your body, or having any energy left for your actual life—this is not it.

Management seems to almost always be lacking any actual clinical experience or even managerial experience. Every manager is always in over there head either from the very start or shortly thereafter. Inspira claims to care about their employee’s “work life balance” but it is all a facade that you will eventually see right through. They claim to offer “competitive benefits” yet they make you use your own PTO for holidays, snow days, sick days, personal days, etc .

They claim that they give enough PTO each pay period to cover any time off that the offices will be closed/that the employee will need off but you better hope you don’t get sick and want to take a vacation in the same year because you will not have the PTO to cover it unless you drag yourself in to work when sick, exhausted and feeling absentminded. 

Inspira is quickly becoming a money hungry corporate enterprise with a dash of healthcare sprinkled in. 

A typical day would involve working closely with the preceptor I was assigned to.  I would scrub in on the scheduled cases and function as 1st Scrub, 2nd Scrub, First Assist, or Circulator.

I learned about all aspects of the surgical experience from set up to patient positioning, to gowning and gloving surgeons and their assistants and performing surgeries that went well and those that developed complications and required the ability to think critically in a crisis.

Management was very friendly and open to the teaching experience.  The hardest part of the job was finding the right formula for proper shoes and support for standing all day but I was able to find the perfect combination.

The most enjoyable and rewarding part of my job is knowing that I was an important part of a team that helped a patient through a difficult situation that required surgery to fix a problem or illness.

Working at Inspira as a Registered Nurse for several years has been a rewarding and professionally fulfilling experience. The organization fosters a collaborative environment that emphasizes patient-centered care and clinical excellence. I had the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals who consistently demonstrated compassion, skill, and integrity. Inspira provides ongoing education and training, which helped me grow both personally and professionally. Leadership is generally supportive and responsive to staff concerns, and there is a strong focus on quality improvement and safety. While the work can be fast-paced and sometimes demanding, the sense of purpose and teamwork made it worthwhile. Inspira's commitment to community health and its investment in modern facilities and technology also enhance the overall care experience. I’m grateful for the years I spent there and for the valuable experience I gained as part of the Inspira team.

I started at Newcomb and loved my job. The pay was never great but the hours and coworker camaraderie were enough to keep me happy. We were close-knit. It continued when we moved to RMC to an extent but new MGMT brought MAGNET and pushed out really wonderful nurses. Nepotism and "who you know" became the way to get ahead. After 14 years, I moved on. I'm in Private Administration now and my path crosses Inspira often. Its a true tragedy what the system has become. Everything is metrics and money. They regularly release seasoned nurses in favor of cheaper younger nurses. They cut corners to save a buck at the expense of lives. Inspira purchases everything and runs nothing favorably. The pay is lower compared to other places unless you are MGMT or niche. The care has suffered. I do feel bad for the nurses who have stayed, they of course are still giving excellent care for little payback. Burnout is high.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Everything is amazing working for Inspira! I feel so blessed to be part of their team! Our nurse managers and assistant nurse managers are incredibly supportive and my coworkers are the absolute best! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
On rare occasions staffing is short related to unit acuity but it is rare, and overall, much better staffed in comparison to other facilities. I would never want to work elsewhere as I truly believe they are the best employer in our area by far!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is a pleasant one and the culture is one that feels more like a family. Inspira is a place employees look forward to returning to on their next scheduled day.
