I do not recommend working in the XR department at Jersey Shore. The radiology staff is extremely cliquey and unwelcoming, if you were not a student here or a long term employee you will not be treated respectfully. Everyone talks behind each other's back, and have overheard supervisors talking about employee's paychecks with other staff. I never received proper training for equipment or examinations that I have never performed before and had advised supervisor and director before hire but was thrown into situations alone. Poor staffing conditions.

I had tried to engage in conversation with several other techs but got shrugged off as if I was a peasant. It seems as if you need to "earn your place" here and no one has time as an adult to fight for approval at their place of work. 

I have had my schedule changed on me several times without my knowledge or approval. And told to stay late without consulting with me first. And they force day time techs to work overnight shifts because they are completely under staffed with overnights. "Volun-told" they call it.

The XR department is also not respected by other departments such as nursing. 

There is staff within the department that intrude on your examinations and will walk into the room while you are with a patient and make comments that make you look and feel incompetent. 

The only positive comment I can think of about Jersey Shore is the trauma experience. If you are fresh out of school (unless you were a student here of course) or looking to transfer to a trauma hospital... Just keep looking elsewhere. I love my job and what I do, but this place made me question why I got into this field. 

Very busy and maintained through professionalism and knowledge. I have learned a lot about the medical field from my job at JSUMC. I have seen probably everything I can see in one day that another person would see in their lifetime! I have learned phlebotomy, Codes, medical terminology, proper transportation, EKS, triage work, general workup, patience, and a lot more. To work under tremense pressure. The hardest part of the job was the high volume of patients and emergencies that came in from day to day, and sometimes not knowing what will come through those doors. I did prevail and taught me to be how I am today under extreme pressure. The most enjoyable part of my job was the knowledge I got everyday, the excitement of saving and curing patients ailments. Showing compassion and understanding to the families as well the one being treated. Always knowing at the end of the day that I have helped many people and that they will be ok. My co workers are a big part of enjoying my job, knowing they have your back and having a laugh now and then to break the hectic day in the life of the ER

Most unprofessional and egotistical staff I’ve ever worked with. It is extremely cliquey and toxic in this eeg lab. They make everything feel very awkward, talk about you behind your back, dump their work onto interns and per diem hires, and give anyone outside of their clique the worst shifts and on call rotations.  They think that nobody notices how mean they are but everyone can tell, it’s just that nobody says anything because it’s so embarrassing and awkward.  If you want to feel like you’re back in high school definitely apply here! 

This could be a really great place to work if the staff would get over themselves. You can get a lot of experience at jersey shore in Pediatric, NICU, PICU, Neuro ICU, and outpatient. They get a ton of pediatric inpatients and outpatients.

 In my opinion, however, the EEG experience is not worth the mental stress of dealing with the staff. You will be miserable. 

Fast paced and enjoyable if you are assertive and are fast paced yourself. Everyone is respectful if you present yourself with self-respect and treat others with respect...but if not, then people may take advantage(I've seen it happen to rude coworkers). If you're quick and efficient, then you'll prosper and progress fairly quickly. People are willing to teach and show how to do the job correctly one or two times. Once you say you know the job, then it is expected of you to finish the job on time and done correctly. If you like fast paced work environment and enjoy the medical field then this is a great place for you to work. If you flow with the environment, there should be no problem with the job. Ultimately is a great place to start and is impressive to have on your resume and so can open many doors in the future, even if elsewhere.

Hackensack Meridian is a GREAT company however the new department management was horrible. Team members were always threatened with write ups and rarely complemented on good work done. We were expected to work short staff at times and neither manager nor supervisors would stay or come in to help out. Depending on how they felt about you personally, they would rather force termination than to see you transfer out of the department. Those that were allowed to transfer out of the department, some would receive a farewell lunch while others didn't even receive a goodbye or well wish. We definitely formed a great team and stuck together because we could not rely on supervisors or manager. This review is specific to the department because Hackensack Meridian upper administration certainly does care about their employees. They make great opportunities possible.

This is a shining example of a supportive environment. The staff's warm and empathetic approach created a sense of value and comfort. The spacious and well-furnished rooms, along with amenities like a serene garden and cafeteria, added to the calming ambiance. The hospital's comprehensive support services, including counseling, support groups, and access to social workers, ensured that patients had the resources they needed. Educational sessions and workshops empowered patients to participate in their care. The staff's genuine empathy and emotional support were outstanding, providing reassurance throughout the journey. It’s dedication to creating a nurturing and empowering atmosphere made a lasting impression. It is highly recommended for exceptional medical care in an environment that prioritizes emotional well-being.

Employed at Jersey Shore in-patient psychiatry for 14 years as RN.  Opportunity for advancement seemed limited.  Great emphasis on assessment and computer skills.   I felt there was no regard for the advanced education and skills that I brought to the position.  I have graduate professional education in individual and group therapy, but this was not acknowledged..  Management continually promised that there would be more opportunity for me to do group therapy, but this never happened.  
There was a great variation in the education and skills of the staff.  I stayed as long as I did because I enjoy working with patients and I had met many  pleasant co-workers.

A typical day on Maternity was very busy.
I learned  as a secretary you are the first person the patient sees and a smile goes a long way to make a patient more comfortable!
My manager on the night shift was there for you if you needed to talk or help in anyway.
Hardest part of my job was when you had to do the desk and then do the birth certificates for sometimes be about  10 certificates and they could take as long as 20  to 30 minutes to do then come back to your desk and have moms and babies to admit and the nurses can't do anything with the patient until they admitted.
The enjoyable part of my job was the smiles on the patient faces with they new baby? And of course how everyone worked together.

When I work as CNA I enjoyed helping the older patients and still do.

A typical work day is accurately ran and fast pace work ethic.

Ive learned about nutrition and diet guide lines.

The shift for the most part ran very smoothly and was given good direction.

Most workers were very helpful and lended a helping hand in completing work accurately for all employees.

The hardest part of the job is having difficult patients who dont want to follow there diet even though its benifical to them.

The most enjoyable part of work is helping others to understand there diets and letting them know how it will benifit them. Also giving them options that may best suit them.

Every-Day will motivate you to want to do more meaning more educated or knowledge & experience to do more for your JOB. Working with doctors or patients, you will always complete every step & finish your day off right Every-Day.
