What is the best part of working at the company?
KACE is a fantastic company to work for, they care about both the mission and the employee. I find it to be a fulfilling work environment, which gives me the ability use my expertise to contribute substantially to mission success, while also allowing me to learn new things. The company and my manager are tremendously supportive and are very "hands off" provided the work is getting done. The paperwork and administrative burdens are extremely low for routine items such as timekeeping, payroll, reporting and human resource tasks. It's a very supportive and inclusive environment, with good coworkers and camaraderie. Compensation and benefits are excellent. The company communicates well with the employees and does not fill up our inboxes with unnecessary communications which is greatly appreciated. Fun place to make a difference.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is an unlimited amount of work, which can be stressful but also contributes to a sense of accomplishment and job security.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is great. The company is very "hands off" as long as the work is getting done. The culture is supportive and appreciative of employee contributions. There are a number of corporate initiatives to foster things like work life balance and camaraderie among employees, which can be tough with a large nationwide workforce. There are some wellness initiatives as well as HR Benefit educational sessions. All these things are greatly appreciated as an employee.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My days are typically normal business hours. I often work with other employees on projects and interact with customers to provide direct mission support on time-sensitive investigations and projects.

High pressure for some linguists. Sarcastic and offensive evaluations. Management by fear, as the staff rotation is high. Some receive the required training, but not everybody; it depends on whether you get along with the Team Supervisor or interact with Team Leads (i.e., preparing coffee for them, joking, or behaving or dressing inappropriately in a professional environment). The job is interesting -that's all just interesting, but not too intellectually demanding- except for translating Spanish to English, so it's not a linguist job. Almost nobody has a degree there. Productivity is discouraged, as you will always be negatively evaluated. ALWAYS. Except if you prepare the coffee! :) 

Low payment for an extremely draining and harassing environment if you have talent. Clients are nice, tough KACE is always supporting their Team Supervisors and Leads, as KACE doesn't know what's going on in the teams.  KACE is not concerned with raising the conditions for employees. Therefore, the results are subpar, and there will be no progress in your career. The requirements are not related to your qualifications or degrees. 

Job culture is terrible. This company only provides negative feedback and it's never positive even if you are doing good. Team leads do a horrible job of training linguists and say they are willing to help while also talking about how much work they need to do and saying they are behind and or busy doing other work. 
Team leads will only help when upper management is in town so they can "show" they are doing their job. 
Team leads are NEVER on the same page and expect linguists to adapt to their style of quality control.  
There doesn't seem to be a structure of growth within the company. Their lack of training ability fails linguists from the beginning to be able to grow and learn. They will send linguists' home on "stand-by" instead of firing them because they honestly don't have a solid reason to do so because it all goes back to their lack of training. 
From what I've heard, the turnover rate is unreal. They wonder why so many linguists leave when the common reason is the team leads themselves failing to properly train. 
Even the clients see the turnover rate and often openly comment on how tense it feels in the rooms where linguists are sitting. 
The actual job itself is fine, but the team leads, and upper management need to do better to help linguists. 

I have been with this company for about four years, and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. One of the biggest strengths of the organization is its commitment to employee development and advancement. There are clear opportunities to grow professionally, take on new responsibilities, and advance within the company for those who are motivated and willing to learn.
The work-life balance is another major benefit. Management understands the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life, which has contributed to a positive and supportive work environment. The company values its employees and provides the resources needed to succeed while respecting personal time. Overall, I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a workplace that offers career growth, supportive leadership, and a healthy work-life balance.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I’ve worked for KACE while supporting two different federal agencies, and both experiences have been exceptional. As an Intelligence Analyst in a federal law enforcement environment, I’ve consistently felt supported, valued, and set up for success.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The workload can increase quickly depending on agency priorities, but KACE has always provided full support during times of transition.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
KACE maintains excellent communication, provides quick and responsive management support, and truly prioritizes both the mission and its people. The culture is professional, positive, and team oriented. Leadership listens, shows genuine respect for employees, and encourages growth. Work-life balance is respected, and I am grateful for that.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The clients and most of the people I got to work with side by side.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
We are  verbally and thru policies and procedures told to be available 365/24/7 even though that was not the original agreement with recruiters.

Cons-Expect to be micromanaged, nickel and dined, bullied and talked down.
Pros-Will work for clients with great causes, great minds and people.

It varies because you do not know when you will work then when assigned to a project schedules change constantly and unpredictably.

Team leads can be such jerks. The job itself is easy, but leadership influences a lot on the work atmosphere

Leadership at all levels tends to be the most stressful part. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Sometimes hostile, unfortunately.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work 8 hours in front of a computer, desk job, sometimes lots of work, sometimes not a lot. Leadership still expects 8 hours of productivity.

They don't care about their contract employees. You have an advantage if you're Latino or speak Spanish. Employment assignment projects are not consistent and are not based on merit/performance. Corrupt HR department and management. Pay is decent but the workplace culture is the most toxic and unsupportive you will ever experience.

I worked at this company for a few years. There were definitely some positive aspects, my team was hardworking, and the mission was meaningful.  My direct supervisor was fabulous. Other leadership, not so much.  However, like many organizations, there were challenges with communication, transparency, and unclear direction at times. Unfortunately, my position was impacted by budget cuts, and “let-go process” was cold and harsh. 
I’d recommend potential applicants ask about long-term stability and expectations in their interviews to ensure alignment.
