I have really enjoyed my time with this agency, probably one of the best HH agencies. What I like the most is that the boundaries are clear - they let you know there's downtime which is okay, we do not pass medication, we do not do any hefty housekeeping or things like snow removal ,etc. It really helps protect the aides since clients & their relatives tend to think aides are maids. The pay is okay for a part time job. 
The agency is full of caring managers and coordinators who always listen and very kind. 
The ONLY cons I have so far is that many of our veterans stay quite far in Ohio and Michigan. The communication is okay via email but it seems to be slightly difficult getting to a person during the day for questions, etc. 

TL;DR - If you want VERY flexible hours, straight forward duties and support a veteran, I strongly encourage anyone to apply. 

This company has no rules to adhere to. They enforce their policies when they feel like it. Not when it's necessary. They DO NOT drug test, which is completely unacceptable when you are in an eldery clients home unattended by other staff. They have favorites & will terminate you if you go above & beyond instead of appreciate you. The clients opinion should be respected & they truly 100% are not. The pay is ok, but they overwork you & mandate you. They do not care if you have children or other responsibilities. Once you are in a client's home you are forgotten until they need you to work or have a problem. This company will terminate you with no reason to back the termination. I have seen numerous employees let go that were excellent employees & they keep the ones who deserve to be terminated. Truly unfortunate, but this company is the worst I have ever worked for in my 30+ year career.

Working for Kennedy Care has been a pleasure with personal growth as well as professional. They care of Employees as well as Clients in all ways. This  is true Integrity of successful journeys. I appreciate blessings and appreciate offerings of Kennedy Ann Arbor always.

I haven't had any stress with Kennedy Care company. They have offered ways to flexible success

It's a good place to work as long as you don't need holiday time. And you don't need constant hours. It is very hard to get constant but once you do it's fine. You can't work over time and you can't work holidays. If a holiday falls on a day you work your expected to make up them hours later in the week. Benefits are good. But they are very picky on how you use your vacation pay! You can roll over vacation pay as long as it's under 40 hours. If you need a steady income this is not the place for you.

The most stressful part of working here was not ever having enough hours every week.

I worked for a short time for Kennedy Care (which used to be the name of Patriot Care) in the Toledo, Ohio area as a home health aide. 

They paid good wages.

However, they seemed disorganized. For example, one time they sent to me a client, but the client was totally surprised when I got there, because no one from the office had talked with the client before I arrived. Also, their login app didn't always work. 




The positive and supportive work culture at Kennedy Care has played a significant role in my professional growth. The commitment to excellence, both in terms of client care and employee development, is truly commendable.

I am grateful for the collaborative environment that encourages open communication and teamwork. The dedication of the entire team has made my time here both enjoyable and enriching.

I really enjoyed my clients and helping them.  Company told me that I would be staying close to Tiffin but all but one client was 45 and up miles away. Offers were abundant to pick up other clients but I am not willing to drive 50 -100 miles away with no gas mileage payments. 

Kennedy Care is a company that cares about their employees and clients! The Patriot Care teams utmost importance is our veterans and the care they deserve!
