I have been an RN for 15 years in a few different hospital in Canada and the USA. The Kline Galland home was the worse job as a nurse that I have ever attempted. The management and nursing staff were completely unsupportive, unmotivating, and unappreciative. The staff, nurses, NA's, etc. are very unhappy and overworked. Not a friendly atmosphere at all. I was given two orientation shifts when they told me I wasn't fast enough delivering multiple medications to 16 residents, that I cannot complete my orientation shifts. So, I had to leave the position. Kline Galland is not a supportive or nice place to work. The nurses don't take breaks and often have to work overtime to complete their charting, work, etc. The lady that hired me was fired from her position for some reason, so my role/position that I was hired for wasn't relayed on to management, so I was moved into an unexpected role. The hiring and orientation experience was completely awful. I will never try to work here again. This is a nursing "sweat shop".

If you’re looking to be a CNA but don’t have the money to pay for classes, Kline Galland offers a program you can take and when you’re finished work for them. If you’re not full time with a set schedule  you’re considered a “floater” meaning it doesn’t matter where you are scheduled they will float you wherever the unit is needed. So they’ll train you in a couple different units just so if they need you that’s where you’ll go. Which can be annoying at times especially if you’re prepared to work somewhere then get moved the night or morning of. Management can use improvement, instead of looking around for problems, they can try to figure out ways to keep their staff happy and keep them working there instead of putting all these ads up that they’re hiring. If you’re a CNA there’s you’re not climbing up the ladder unless you become a nurse. Meaning once you’re stuck you’re stuck unless you get out of there. The only pro of this place is that they have an app where you can pick up days to work if you’re not scheduled and that the guy scheduler is great at what he does. Everything else okay. They don’t really care about you, a lot of it is for show to the residents who think that the management and administration is taking care of us but really they’re not. 

From day one it was a great experience.  I applied to a bunch of Healthcare places after I graduated.  They called me first.  Someone from HR set up an interview and I was hired after a phone interview with the CNA supervisor.  I got a signing bonus, good pay rate (for it being my first CNA job) and they even reimbursed me for my CNA class tuition!  I guess they been around for like a 100 years, but it looks newer inside.  Coworkers are cool and nurses are busy, but all you have to do is ask them for help.  There's at least 2 nurses per section.  They also give you scholarships if you want to become a nurse later on.  Even opportunities to pass medicine as a CNA.  Free parking, food trucks and they give us clothes/gifts.  And they make everyone wear face masks, it's really a safe place to work.   

It's a great place to work the job is stressful, exciting, and very rewarding once you get to know your residents, the work is no different than any other cna job. Except if you need help at times I had to run around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to get some assistance with a resident. And since majority of the staff is Philippines  they speak their language all day the only time you hear English is if they are giving you directions and some are not nice some of the women will laugh and pick on English speaking staff in their native language and trust me you know your being talked about.  Parking is the worst they have limited parking and the spaces are small my car had so many scratches on it for people parking to close no need to tell management they blow it off. But over all if you can get pass all that it's a OK place

Working as a CNA here is absolutely terrible. You don't get paid enough for the work that you do. The place is always understaffed. Colleagues are always calling out because there is too much work to do, and we are always stressed. There would be multiple times where a colleague would not be available for a 2-person transfer, and thus, you have to do it by yourself or the nurses will call you out on not doing your tasks, which there is a lot of. I don't mind doing the tasks, its just that there are too many for a single CNA to do. Nurses won't help you out. Sometimes colleagues are nowhere to be found, leading to more stress. Some residents might only have their diaper changed once during your shift because there is too much work to be done. 

Job itself is not too bad, pay rate is higher than other CNA jobs and you don’t get too overwhelmed each shift. However, management is TRASH. Extremely rude people and acts like they’re so high and mighty. Literally always find something to critique you on every single time you see them, without a simple hello or how are you doing. It’s as if it’s in their job description to put you down as a person and employee whenever they see you. There’s no “good job” or “thank you” even though you’re busting your a** caring for residents while they’re over there laughing and chatting with the other administrators. They act like they care about you when frankly they just treat you like garbage. 
Otherwise, not a bad place to start off as a CNA.

This is the best company I have ever worked for. People, including management, are always willing to answer any question and give support. This is a Home Health company; requires driving to people’s homes or to facilities to see them. There is great autonomy; ability to make many of our own decisions. If we are independent minded, this is the job for you. So: working with great teammates, working with understanding and accepting supervisors, and having the ability to set up our own schedules and see many patients who are very happy we are taking the time to visit them in their home, makes this job exceptionally great.

The Summit is a toxic environment to be in. The company refuses to pay employees better wages so everyone leaves to find better!! 
Constant unnecessary drama throughout the building stemming from the administrative department. Management is falling apart, actually it’s TRASH. There is a lack in communication, lack of respect and overall the toxicity is why the retention rate is so low. The servers start at below minimum wage with no benefits. Employees accumulate sick pay they are not allowed to use unless 24 hours of pto is taken out first. Only good thing is the relationships built with other coworkers. Otherwise, it’s a waste of time!

This place is okay to work for, my coworkers are really fun to work with. However, they pay you really low ($19.25) compared to the prices around seattle and this is for 4 years of experience. The only good thing about this job is the flexibility of your work hours if you are part-time. You get to choose your own hours by going on an app and staying whether you’re available or not for each day. They schedule you on a weekly basis and they look at your availability that you put in. Lots of PTO, free food, but NO TIPS despite being like a restaurant but it’s actually a nursing home with a dining room and a kitchen.

We have  positive values at KGH .  The management and all employee have a strong  commitment to excellences. Employee have a relaxed and productive atmosphere at KGH. We have open and honest communication with our supervisors as well as the management. Cooperation  ,support ,and empowerment is a culture of management and all employees at KGH. Overall, we have a great deal of compassion ,respect , and understanding at KGH.
