It was fun work, climbing around seeing amazing views and parts of Washington I'd otherwise never see. I even got to go down to Bend, OR and work in the mountains; such an amazing night sky.

I recommend this job in that tower climbing is fun as heck.
KMM, well, it really depends on how their management has been doing since I left.

You have to be on top of your situation, because no one will really look out for you; as an example, I was hired on at 16 an hour (which is great when you don't have any income at all), and had that for about a year. I started training even newer guys, and one night they let me know that, while I'm training them, they're making more money than me.
So you gotta be on top of it. I told them the next day that if I wasn't making 21 by the end of the day I'm walking, and the accommodated, but that's something someone with integrity should have helped out with.

The main reason I left was how they handled traveling out of town. One word of advice, if you can't be away from home, don't take this job or this kind of job. You travel frequently and far. But this was especially bad because they would constantly change the schedule on you; it would be Thursday and then you'd get a call saying, "Well you gotta go help out this other crew in the area," and your trip would be extended.

Kmm  was a relaxed atomsphere, the management was inaccurate.There was not enough hours for the commute that i had to take. The supervisor had no Human Resource  experience. There was no room for advancement. The pay was not sufficent for all the task that was required of you. This job was not female friendly as i was the only female working in wearhouse. I had many unpleasant incident with the male employees and management always sided with the male employees. Human resorces always sided with what management said.no investigation was ever done. The company is owned by a female but it is not female friendly. Management was not cool. There was always tension among the workers on the floor and sometimes i had to get in between the employees to stop a fight from being started, It was just not a pleasant atomsphere in the wearhouse. When work was slow they discriminated in who they sent home, I was always one of the first ones to go even though i had seniority.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company at all. The management has been consistently poor, leading to a lack of direction and a toxic work environment. The company's products and services have been subpar, and customer complaints have gone largely ignored. It's no surprise that the company is now closing its doors due to its inability to compete in the market. It's a shame that the employees and customers have to suffer the consequences of such poor management decisions. I would advise anyone to steer clear of this company and find a more reputable and reliable business to work for or buy from. The company makes horrible contracts with customers resulting in the employees taking the effects of poor management skills. There is no effective training provided for the work and tasks requested. Everything has a double standard and at the end of the job they will belittle you and tell you that you did it wrong. 

When I come in the morning I run all the morning report and get the routing submitted for the truck to come in and pick up the freight that we have on the DC Floor.  I check out website for any Rush or Expedite request from the customer to have their orders shipped out the same day.  I help train any new personnel in the office/warehouse. I also do remote training over the computer at our other DC's.  I bring in the new work for the pickers to pick the orders.  I monitor all the tasks to make sure everything is running smoothly.  If an employee has an issue with a certain item or order I do the proper research to get that order fixed.  When I receive reports from upper management I analyze the reports and break it down to the information they are looking for.  I put full data reports in a presentation and into graphs.  I also close out the load from when the trucks come in to pick up the freight so they are provided with a Bill of Lading to sign for the freight that is on their trailer.

Safety is not important to this company, they believe more in money then you any day of the week. I did like the company at first but after awhile they took money over safety. I climbed a monopole that had a t boom and told them I needed a boom or crane to do the work and that I couldn’t and wouldn’t do it without one considering the booms and work. After a full day of not just me but the entire crew telling them no and that it’s not safe. They fired the whole crew and got one of the green guys they hired to do it. I would not recommend this company to anyone if you value your safety.

KMM was a fantastic company to work for, but the company was based out of California and were in Texas to fulfill a contract with a customer here in Texas so the job was for only 14 months and then company would return to California but I could not relocate. Overall I would love to have kept working for KMM excellent company.

When working here I started off as a contractor and was getting trained. Then, all of a sudden the manager training me quit so I was on my own. Once I was on my own I was working with the VP and that was not going so well. I was doing great work but it seemed like they did not want to invest in me. They let me go which sucked because I wanted to go permanent with the company. If you end up getting the job here, don’t get too comfortable, they will act like they want to work with you but really don’t. 

While working here i enjoyed what i did at KMM and felt like it was a home for the previous warehouse expierience i had. But while i was employed the management was terrible. Everything about my character and my own nature was degraded. I constantly got talked down to, my intelligence got insulted, and i got accused of being on drugs several times.

KMM Telecommunications was a great place to work.  They cared about their employees.  My daily duties were to create new modules that supported their core systems.  KMM's web site allowed customers and vendors to validate and check status of orders.  My main responsiblity was to maintain the interfaces on the between these two modules. Also create customer inventory validation reports.

Upper management has no real disciplinary standards and let the field crews get away with too much. They provide no real support for those who deal with the real day to days and play favorites with their friends they hired on. No real vetting of new hires so the company is saturated with sub-par workers who milk the jobs, steal...and most likely wouldn't be able to pass a drug test. Training and safety is a joke...like the whole company.
